Layan was as desperate as Hades or more so. No matter when they searched there was no sign of Priscilla anywhere and that was making him extremely anxious. He felt her through his bond but far away, barely unnoticeable and he regretted not having made her his when it was time. They wouldn’t be in this situation.
And now that he knew Liam was in the way everything was more complicated. If they didn’t act carefully the lives of many could be in danger.
-Alpha, nothing yet,- Victore approached him with concern.
Layan wanted to give a positive answer but just shook his head. He heard Hades growl near him and didn’t want to speak to him. The only reason they were both still unharmed and had not taken the fangs being the initiator Hades, was because the priority was to look for Priscilla. But she was aware that afterwards she would have to fight him to let him have the she-wolf. And that would not be easy. And even more so when Nebraska found out about the whole situation. She was the one he was most afraid of.
Suddenly a piercing scream made the ground shake and the whole group of wolves raised their ears. And two of them recognized who it belonged to.

Pain, heat, suffering, trembling, shuddering. Priscilla could not identify what was lashing her body at that moment and where it started and where it ended. She only knew that from the back of her neck a painful wave of heat was spreading and moving in the direction of her chest, imprisoning her and taking her breath away.
He had screamed so loudly that his throat burned and his fingernails dug into the dirt of the cave. More she could not move to remove the weight on her, that same weight coming from the wolf that had buried its fangs all the way to the base of her neck, above the mark her wolf had made on her.
Tears spilled from her eyes. The helplessness of not being able to do anything overwhelmed her along with the pain. She wanted to shake and shake off her assailant, turn and run away to where Layan was. But every cell in her body seemed to be going into shock from the new mark being implanted against her will. Her body was struggling but the toxins were stronger than she could withstand. And she had lost so much blood that what little she had left was being easily contaminated.
And the clash between the toxins of the two wolves inside her was fatal. It was unnatural, a she-wolf could die from something like this and Priscilla thought she would go mad. The veins around her neck, edges of her face and chest turned black marking themselves on the skin where the toxin from Kei’s body was. The pain was increasing to the point of making her fall almost like a shivering dead body.
Cold, very cold, was what she began to feel as her pupils dilated so much that she lost focus of everything around her. Her hands and legs went numb and that did not bode well. Her body was rejecting the mixture of the two wolves’ essences inside her. And she felt like consciousness was going to leave her, floating on the brink of death.
Liam squeezed tighter and tighter embedding all of his essence through her fangs as his hands moved along her hips, touching her skin. Priscilla didn’t even feel it anymore. Her heart began to pound so fast she could hear it in her ears. Her horniness triggered by all the irregular stimulation inside her filled the cave with her pheromones. She was going to be branded, taken away from Layan and cursed all her life and she couldn’t lift a finger to stop it.
She wanted to get up, to fight, to use some of her powers but just the thought of it made the pain so great that she stopped breathing. The toxins of the two wolves inside her body had already started to fight to see which one was the strongest. If Liam knotted her he would definitely be the winner, meanwhile she only had to submit and see if she would survive the link change.
-Dammit- those were the words she wanted to say but they came out of Liam’s mouth who let go of her neck no matter what he tore the flesh open carelessly. Fresh blood ran down to the ground in great furrows. She was growing weaker and weaker but that didn’t dampen her zeal.
She felt Liam’s hands stop at her hips but he didn’t lift her up which was expected to violate her. Instead she heard him click his tongue.
-Apparently my time is up,- he growled loudly and then looked down at her. His hand stroked the she-wolf’s head brushing her hair away from her haggard and beaten face- Apparently your wolf is already here- his gaze was icy- Even if I can’t knot you, I’ll give him a gift he won’t forget- smiled a cursed gleam in his eyes that Priscilla couldn’t identify since she couldn’t focus on it. She could barely define light and shadow anymore.
Liam guffawed and made his fangs even more evident. And lowering his head he buried them again this time so hard that they reached the bone and Priscila could only open her mouth without releasing a single choked sound. Suddenly something moved through her body up her head, hot, like pure acid until Kei’s body loosened its grip on her neck and his weight settled completely on top of her.
-You’re mine now- Liam’s voice came through her mind, loud and clear.
Damn it. Liam had left Kei’s body and had entered her.
Priscilla’s eyes filled with tears, this time because her biggest nightmare had come true. Liam had possessed her body, had achieved his goal. But she was grateful to be in the current state where she could barely use her powers because of how weak she was. In that case he just had to succumb.
If she died, Liam would die with her.
But suddenly the weight on her was removed along with a black shadow and her body was left lying there in the pool of blood barely conscious.

Layan was running amok. That scream, it was Priscilla’s, there was no doubt about it. He would recognize it anywhere, it was the voice of his she-wolf. And she was in danger. Something inside him stirred forcing its way out and a voice boomed in his mind.
-Remove- the growl was low and demanding and by the time he blinked again he was in front of a cave. He didn’t know how he got there.
He looked over his bare shoulder watching as Hades and others came to where he was but he didn’t remember how it was that he had made that path and ended up there. And that voice, it felt so familiar and had come inside him, again.
-Move, asshole, my she-wolf is dying-again it was there.
Layan growled, thinking it might be Liam, but it wasn’t him, that wasn’t his voice.
-Who are you?- he growled but was interrupted when the other wolves stopped next to him, breaking their internal conversation.
-Alpha,- Victore arrived agitated, -Is this it?
Layan focused on what he really should and sniffing hard, with Hades at his side, seconds later, they both looked at each other.
-Priscilla- and they ran inside.
They had smelled her, the scent of her blood, of her pheromones, of her. And that unleashed worry and anxiety to almost uncontrollable levels inside the alphas’ chests. They did not want to imagine the state of the she-wolf.
And great was the surprise when they arrived inside the cave and saw the disaster inside. Several columns of ice had turned black and were beginning to turn to dust like ashes. Two domes in the same state that showed the side of two people where one was easily recognized by Layan. His sister, what was his sister doing there.
But that was not the worst of it. The atmosphere was charged with the pheromones of a she-wolf in heat, but these were overshadowed by the smell of blood and this came from the two naked bodies, one on top of the other, inert.
And that was more than Layan could bear. But he was not the one who moved. Hades beat him to it and using his skill, in one swift movement grabbed the man on top of his daughter by the neck and threw him against the far wall. Kei’s unconscious body slammed so hard into the wall that it splintered and then fell like a dead weight on the ground.
But that was not enough. Hades was extremely annoyed. And he approached showing all his fangs, foaming at the mouth, his eyes like molten silver and intent on killing the wolf that had hurt his daughter, his cub, his princess.
His back was so bristling that it gave an intimidating image and his alpha pheromones were overwhelming, however that didn’t stop Victore from jumping on top of Kei’s body protecting him and lowering his head guarding his wolf’s neck.
-Alpha, please stop,- he begged.
He too was so shocked he couldn’t believe it. When Layan had told him that Liam was inside Kei, he could barely process it. He had figured something was wrong, as he had seen the beta acting weird, even when he had come back, it hadn’t even paid him any attention, until he touched it and it was as if he came to.
He knew at once that something was wrong with the wolf, his wolf, which is why he tried to stay most of the time by its side. Only the wolf was very elusive and after learning of Liam’s presence he knew the reason. But now he didn’t feel that dense and strange atmosphere that had hovered over the beta while he was possessed.
Then…
Without losing the attention of the aggressive alpha in front of him, he looked out of the corner of his eye at the body of the she-wolf that Layan already turned was holding with trembling hands against him. And he knew at once where the enemy was.
-Alpha, be careful,- was the only thing he could say before Priscilla opened her eyes completely blank and opened her mouth and buried her teeth in Layan’s neck.
