It’s fate

Layan stirred uncomfortably. He frowned.
-Explain yourself better.
Priscilla tilted her head to one side, her hair shaded her face but it didn’t dull the brightness of her silver eyes, quite the opposite, they were brighter. That put Layan on alert. There was something about it all that he wasn’t going to like, he knew it.
-That when I touch you I can stop hearing voices in my head and my powers are reduced to nothing. That’s why you didn’t freeze when you came into the room.
-Were you conscious?- was the only thing he could ask, his voice a little shaky, still assimilating the first part.
-Yes, I was conscious,- he blinked slowly, -You’re lucky you marked me,- he ran his fingers over the back of his neck, -Otherwise I couldn’t guarantee I wouldn’t have killed you. Ice is more complicated to control than fire. It doesn’t do me any good.
He spoke with a disinterested tone, but Layan was deadly serious.
-How much do you know about yourself and your power?
-Maybe just a little more than you do. Ever since I’ve been in my mother’s womb I’ve had a conscience. I know everything that happened with Liam, even with Rudoc and my sister Catalina. My mother already told you what happened in the war we had. Liam is not someone you should take lightly.
Layan narrowed his eyes.
-Why are you talking in the present tense? Liam is supposed to be dead.
Priscilla smiled slightly avoiding his gaze. She cursed herself, she had spoken too much. That happened when she got upset. Wait, annoyed? She had no emotions, so what had that been.
-You said it, she supposed- she blurted out somewhat unsettled by the new thing she had discovered.
Layan grunted and rushing forward grabbed the slender wrist and yanked her in. Priscilla’s body lay on top of the wolf’s and her head collided with the hard chest. He looked down at her from above, this time it was his blue orbs that glowed.
-Be clearer,- he almost growled at her.
-You hurt me… again,- she leaned her chin on the center of his chest and frowned at him even though she was comfortable with the intimate position.
At this the wolf loosened his grip on her wrist but did not let go.
-Speak-
Priscilla sighed, her legs almost tangling with his, wanting to remove the quilt and be in contact with his body. If she had known he would calm down so quickly she wouldn’t have woken him up and taken advantage of the nakedness of his body a little more.
-I have nothing to say. I am someone young, for me the war thing was very recently so I spoke in the present tense- he lifted his shoulders downplaying its importance.
If Layan or anyone else found out that Liam was back they would form a commotion that would surely make the wolf run away, wherever he was. He couldn’t allow that now that he was so close. After all that was the reason he had woken up early despite his condition. He knew well that his own life was in danger.
But she needed to find him and destroy him once and for all, for the safety of her family and her partner. Liam was after her, that was for sure, so let him go after her. He wouldn’t involve anyone else.
And he would take all the consequences of his actions.
But his answer didn’t make Layan back down so she had to use another way to escape from that conversation. And he knew one that really worked on him.
-Layan, don’t you think it’s fate?
Indeed, the wolf’s countenance changed from seriousness to curiosity.
-Why do you say that?
-Well, that I am the one who is here with you and that you are the one who nullifies my power and also the one who has marked me,- she smiled at him, trying to make her smile as genuine as possible.
-The reason why all this must happen is because my blood has prevailed over the others,- she said.
Priscilla pursed her lips. He was a tough nut to crack.
-You’re right, but it was precisely your blood that prevailed, not Litus’, nor his brother’s, nor Asule’s,- she straightened up, raising herself in his arms, putting her face level with his, -It was yours. It was definitely fate.
-He said softly but did not pull back when she kissed his lips.
On the contrary. His arms moved reflexively, one around her narrow waist and his free hand pressing against the back of her neck. Again becoming intoxicated in the delicious sensation each time their lips made contact and the wild part of him stirred.
He didn’t know why he did that but as soon as she had mentioned that she could belong to any alpha just because her blood had been stronger than his he had felt bad. Really bad.
Love? Not at all Jealousy? He doubted it. Possessiveness most likely? He was an alpha after all.
So far Priscilla had only followed him and in a way that fed his ego as a male and as an alpha, but what would it be like if she decided on someone else. It was useless to think about it, after all he had marked her.

Priscilla’s shoulder was shaken slightly.
-Priscilla, get up,- Layan’s voice was demanding.
-Five more minutes.- She buried her head deeper into the fluffy pillow impregnated with his scent.
-No more five minutes. Today your training begins. Let’s go for a run. Get up,- he demanded as he combed his hair. He was already considering cutting it.
She protested in her throat and sat up in bed with a distinct pout on her lips and her eyes still closed. Her hair all tousled spilled down her body which had marks on her neck.
Layan stared at those marks made by her lips and fangs. A moment of weakness and excitement, after the kiss where his instincts had taken, for a few seconds, control of his body. He had bitten her again leaving a mark on her skin more marked than the others. And of course, her scream had brought him out of his haze. He always bit her really hard, this time was no exception.
He hadn’t left the bed but turned her to the other side of the bed forbidding her to touch him. Something that didn’t last long. Priscilla’s arm was soon around his stomach and she was rubbing against his back. What the hell would he do with her? But he had been the culprit in the first place. He hadn’t pulled back when he’d been kissed.
-Dress quickly and get down,- he ordered her, arranging the loose shirt over his scarred body. He ran his head to the side, dodging the pillow that went straight to his head.
-I’m sleepy. I don’t want to run- she yawned letting herself fall back on the bed with her arms spread wide as if it was a puppy’s tantrum. Layan wanted to laugh as she looked more in line with her supposed age in terms of time of birth.
-And I don’t want to have to force you so– he was interrupted when his door was opened. Leila’s face appeared and they both looked at her.
Instantly his brow furrowed as he detected Priscilla on the bed, naked and of course, with several marks on her neck. He swallowed dryly but walked over to his brother and gave him a kiss on his cheek.
-Brother, can I take a walk around the pack?- he smiled, ignoring the she-wolf who turned on her side and leaned her face on her hand.
-You can, but be careful,- he rubbed the corinilla’s hair, -but first I need you to help Priscilla get ready. We’ll go for a run, but first I need to do something– Leila’s face contorted.
Leila’s face contorted into a grimace but she nodded. She couldn’t deny her brother anything.
-Priscilla, don’t delay,- Layan turned to the she-wolf who smiled at him.
-If you give me a kiss I might put in a little more of my share- she teased him knowing the outcome.
And of course Layan clicked his tongue and walked towards the door.
-Stingy, yesterday you weren’t so reluctant to the idea,- she reminded him of what they had done.
But Layan didn’t answer and left the room. Priscilla dropped back on the bed without much desire to get up but she had things to do and since her powers were not cooperating with her it was not time to rest. So she got up and found Leila standing in front of her.
-You do it conscientiously, don’t you,- her voice was rough against Priscilla.
-What do you mean?- the younger girl pulled her hair back.
-Bothering him all the time. Since you arrived, my brother is more tense than before- -That was not my intention- -That was not my intention- -That was not my intention.
-That wasn’t my intention.- Priscilla got up and went straight to the closet where the alpha’s clothes were.
-Stop playing- Leila almost yelled at him.
Priscila blinked slowly.
-Wolf, don’t exhaust my patience. I don’t know what I’ve done to you to make you dislike me but you’re already starting to wear me down- her voice was an octave lower than normal- I have no intention of hurting anyone but no one can guarantee that I’ll lose control of my powers. My issues with Layan are not so simple for you to understand-.
Leila bared her teeth and her eyes turned completely golden.
-Are you planning to attack me? I won’t sweat in defending myself- Priscilla turned fully towards her and tried to enter her mind, it was easier to placate her that way when her consciousness was knocked out of her body making her dizzy.
She frowned. But she couldn’t speak much. A fully turned wolf was rushing towards her with the intention of attacking her. And Priscilla had no intention of standing idly by.
