-Priscilla-
-Priscilla
-Who’s calling me?
-I
-Who are you?
-Someone who’s been looking for you for a long time.
-Why are you looking for me?
-Because I need you
-Why do you need me?
-…-
Priscilla opened her eyes suddenly. Cold, very cold. She couldn’t move. Everything was dark around her. How much time had passed? A lot? A little? She didn’t know, but she was sure of one thing. It was not yet time to wake up. Her insides were still in total chaos. The fire in her chest was searing causing tears to run down her cheeks. She closed her eyes again, she would only come out when she was aware that it was safe to be with her family. After all, 15 years isn’t much for a wolf.
-Priscila-
-Priscila-
-Why are you looking for me again?
-Because you’re sad.
-I’m not sad, I’m just lonely.
-I can keep you company.
-I don’t love her.
-You’re young and beautiful, I shouldn’t be lonely.
-I have a place to come back to.
-I can give you something better
-I don’t need it.
Priscilla opened her eyes again. Little lights were moving in front of her. They danced back and forth beautifully, though she could not appreciate them. Wait a minute. Were they… beautiful? She didn’t know. Why didn’t she know? She closed her eyes again.
-Priscila-
-Priscilla.
-Why did you come again?
-Don’t you feel lonely anymore?
-…-
-Why aren’t you sad anymore?
-I don’t know.
-Do you miss someone?
-I don’t know… -I don’t know…
-Why don’t you know?
-…-
-…-
-Because I can’t feel anything.
Priscilla opened her eyes. Was it day or night? Did it matter? No, it wasn’t. Did it matter to her? Neither. There was only an emptiness inside her that was growing every moment. She no longer felt cold, no longer felt warm.
She really didn’t feel anything anymore.
-Priscilla-
-Priscilla.
-…-
-Why so cold?
-…-
-If you always answered me…
-…-
-You know, you’re important to me.
-…-
-I’ll tell you again what I told you a long time ago. I need you-
-… And why do you need me?
-…-
-…-
-Because you are my means of revenge…
-Who are you?- she asked, growling one last time in her mind at the voice that had been with her throughout her years of confinement.
It was several seconds before she received an answer. This time the voice was so familiar that her face hardened.
-Someone you know very well.
All connection between their minds was suddenly severed. No, she couldn’t let him escape. She created a net in her mind and followed him across strong mental bridges in her consciousness. Barely a light fleeing from her between the various dark portals. It wouldn’t be that easy, she wouldn’t run away like that, she wasn’t that weak. The years she had been frozen she had trained her mind and how to make it stronger.
Her internal organs had been stiff but not her neurons. Right now she could say she was even three times as strong as her mother and she had total control over this. Even if the voices in her head had never gone away she was able to isolate them in her head to almost a whisper and bring whoever wanted to listen in front of her. No one could lie to her or she would know.
She slipped away with ease following the light that was getting closer and closer. She would catch him, she knew who he was. If she let him escape her family could be in danger again.
He stopped suddenly. Something told him he could go no further. If he did could he go back? At least he had found out something. The person who had been able to get inside his barriers was someone really strong and there were few who could do that. And that wolf’s trail had been lost fleeing to the mind of someone in Layan’s pack her wolf.
Priscilla’s eyes snapped open and the water around her thawed. Her numb body came back to life so fast it was amazing. She clenched her hands so tightly that her nails dug into her hands. Something in her chest stirred and she realized that the stability of her powers had been great but not complete. That meant he had awakened earlier.
He couldn’t help it. He couldn’t stand idly by if someone attacked his family again. It was a sacrifice she would take on, as well as the responsibility of her powers. She was no longer a child. She felt her body bigger, and not just physically. Her internal development had taken its course despite being frozen. It had been slower than before but she could still define that she was around 99 years old. The hormones in her body were at their peak dictating that she would soon be able to enter her first heat, defining her as a full grown she-wolf.
Footsteps sounded from the surface. Priscilla looked up. Her long black hair danced around her in the water. Her body felt really strong, so much so that she couldn’t believe it. She felt light, as if she could do whatever she wanted without any trouble. But still her insides were empty.
She wanted to go back to her pack but they didn’t cause any emotion, neither of happiness, nor of longing. She simply knew that her loved ones were there and she had to be there.
She shook her feet in the water and pushed herself upwards as if she weighed nothing. The temperature was pleasant in there. It wasn’t as noisy as she remembered. She had even gotten used to the solitude. But he had more important things to do and he needed to get out of there. If he had to come back later he would not put up any resistance. He had made up his mind.
—
Layan slept as he did every night after an exhausting day’s work. Leading his pack and keeping track of the others was utterly exhausting. At least he had his delightful bed to lie in between the thick, furry, brown blankets just the way he liked it.
Her eyes were closed but she could still feel something stir underneath the quilt caressing her leg. It was a warm, delicious touch that sent a shiver up and down his spine and he unconsciously let the air out of his lungs. Maybe he wasn’t so sleepy anymore.
The touch began to move further up his inner thighs touching the sensitive area. It was so soft so hardly if he did anything to stop it. This time it moved up the side of his groin to pass over his shapely abs reinforcing the pressure there. Layan this time let out a moan and stirred.
It was so strange, what was going on? He hadn’t had anyone to keep him company in his bed for ten years. Since that time when he had buried his fangs into the fragile skin on the back of the neck of the puppy beneath him. At the mere memory of it his hips quivered and his fangs enlarged to the max. The taste of blood was something he could not forget so easily.
And as the years passed the anxiety had grown inside her. If only he could know where she was or see her during that time but the remoteness had so altered his wild side that his mood had undergone change in the last three years. And he couldn’t even have a companion under his covers. His mind might reject the idea of bonding but his body had other intentions.
Like now he was reacting under the quilt reacting to all the stimuli he was being given. His erection was noticeable and he was panting noticeably. He tried to open his eyes but realized that they were covered, he couldn’t see anything. He went to raise his hands to remove whatever was covering them, to find them tied tightly to the headboard of the bed and no matter how hard he pulled he couldn’t get loose, he had no strength.
And this was fading even more as the rubbing moved down his abdomen to his chest outlining every muscle. Something wet followed the same path and Layan couldn’t help but moan to bite his lips afterwards. His fangs buried themselves in her skin and blood ran. She made an attempt to shake her legs but to no avail they wouldn’t move open on the bed and tensed.
That wet thing now moved to his neck and this time he licked it, above the vein that throbbed frantically under the skin. Layan gasped, unable to articulate words. He had never seen himself so vulnerable and that made his most primitive part want to bite whatever dared to touch him with such brazenness. It was a feeling inside him that he hated and liked at the same time.
Something soft rested on his lips and he sucked the lower one that was bleeding. Then the other and Layan didn’t have the willpower not to keep up and it wasn’t long before he was the one devouring and biting that soft, creamy skin next to his lips. Demanding opened her mouth and stuck out her tongue to roll it around that intruder. God, it felt really good.
Who was she? He wanted to know.
When…
-My wolf-
A voice in her ear and it was all it took for her to jolt awake and sit up in bed panting hard. His chest was rising and falling in search of oxygen. Her body was completely drenched in sweat and she didn’t need to lift the quilt to know what evidence was underneath. He touched his lips and they weren’t hurt, he wasn’t even tied up.
It had all been a dream, but it had felt so real it was scary. He brought his hand to his forehead and ran the hair that fell over it and the one that clung to his chest. This had grown a lot lately and was already past her hip. It didn’t bother her. Her sister said it was beautiful and it was a shame to cut it, although she wasn’t the one who had to be combing it every morning or every time it got wet like now.
She exhaled sharply. She was still trembling at the various sensations she had felt. And that voice, it wasn’t like any he had heard before, yes similar but not the same. And yet it had left him in such a state.
-Alpha,- a voice from the other side of the door made him look over.
The sky was still dark so it was still dark so it must be important whatever it was they were going to tell him to interrupt his sleep.
-What’s wrong?- he said getting up completely naked and grabbing a change of clothes to put on after bathing again.
-A message has just arrived from the silver herd. They require your presence as soon as possible.
The clothes fell to the ground. Layan frowned. The silver pack required him. For Hades to send for him like that without any explanation was not normal, so he hadn’t made a mistake. It was something important. But that it was precisely after having that dream.
Perhaps it had some relation.
No, it was not possible.
Or was it?
