Spencer looked at her curiously and asked, “What opportunity? What’s going on? How come I don’t know about it?”
“Elisa seems quite interested in Andrew,” Summer said with a smile. “I’ve noticed it for a while.” She then happily linked her arm with his. “What do you think of them? Do they make a good match?”
Spencer always took his wife’s questions seriously and answered thoughtfully, “They do match well. Both of them have good temperaments, are kind-hearted, and are about the same age. They’ve been getting along well in the crew.”
“Then…” Summer suggested, “why don’t we help them along?”
“If it’s just the four of us meeting up, won’t it be too obvious?” Spencer asked. “If we say it’s a celebration, we should invite other members of the crew too.”
Summer thought for a moment. “That’s easy to handle. We can invite Agnes. I’ll call her now; she’ll definitely come.”
With that, Summer took out her phone.
“I’ll call Andrew,” Spencer said as he took out his phone too.
After calling her sister, Summer also called Elisa. She mysteriously said, “You must come! There will be a surprise!”
“Okay.”
Then Spencer sent the location to Andrew, and Summer sent the same location to Elisa and Agnes. They drove to the restaurant.
Agnes was about to get off work, and the location wasn’t far from Marsh Group.
So when she arrived, her sister and brother-in-law had just arrived too. The three met outside the restaurant.
As they greeted each other, Andrew was parking his car. Spencer recognized the familiar vehicle and said, “Andrew is here.”
The two sisters turned to look and saw Andrew getting out of his car. He closed the door and walked towards them. When he saw Agnes, he was slightly surprised but managed his expression well.
He hadn’t expected her to come.
Standing next to Summer, Agnes was also surprised to see Andrew. She had just rejected him last night and now they were meeting again.
“Hello, Agnes,” Andrew greeted her directly by name instead of calling her Bubu. He smiled politely and extended his hand.
Out of courtesy, Agnes gently shook his hand. “Hello, Andrew.”
At this moment, another taxi stopped not far away. Elisa, who was about to get out of the car, saw this scene through the window and felt a slight pang in her heart.
Andrew is here, and so is that girl?
Getting out of the car, Elisa walked towards them with curiosity. Everyone saw her and waited at the entrance.
“You’re here? Let’s go in!” Summer walked over and linked arms with her. She introduced them, “This is my sister Agnes. And this is Elisa, my good friend.”
Agnes gave Elisa a sweet smile. “Hello.”
Elisa was internally shocked-Summer’s sister?
“Hello,” she quickly responded with a welcoming smile. “Your sister is very beautiful.”
“Thank you,” Agnes replied with a slightly shy smile.
They all walked into the restaurant together.
Andrew still liked Agnes very much; he kept glancing at her from time to time. He felt everything was wonderful and his gaze was warm with deep affection.
But he was very restrained and careful with his behavior so as not to cause her any discomfort.
Feelings like these cannot be forced; he knew that well. He would keep this admiration in his heart and let it fade over time.
That’s why we often say mutual affection is rare; when you find it, cherish it dearly.
