“I… I have nothing left… nothing…”
As soon as Rosalind finished speaking, she leaned back and lost consciousness.
Fortunately, Malcolm had been supporting her back with one hand, preventing her from falling to the ground!
Malcolm immediately picked her up and rushed towards the nurse’s station, shouting, “Doctor! Where’s the doctor?! Quick, someone has fainted here!”

Ulric had a bad feeling when he couldn’t find his phone.
He turned to leave the ward, but as soon as he opened the door, he saw his father standing there, accompanied by Audrey’s primary doctor in the country.
“Where are you going? Your mother is in critical condition, and you’re leaving?”
Ulric frowned, “I’m looking for my phone.”
“Looking for your phone! Can’t it wait until your mother is stable?!” Caesar blocked the exit of the ward with his entire body, leaving no gap.
The doctor beside him quickly added, “Yes, Mr. Walters, your mother’s condition is very serious. She could wake up at any moment, or she might not wake up at all.”
“I just want to make a call and then I’ll be back.” Ulric wasn’t worried about company matters since Cedric was there; he was concerned that Rosalind would be anxious if she couldn’t reach him.
“Don’t you know who your mother hates the most? Don’t think I don’t know who you’re calling! I forbid it!”
“I’m not discussing this with you.” With that, Ulric tried to push past them.
His tall frame made it easy for him to break through.
At the critical moment, Caesar suddenly said, “Don’t make the call. Your mother wouldn’t want to hear that woman’s voice. Send a text instead. Use my phone.”
He handed his phone over.
Ulric didn’t take it immediately but looked at his father, “Where’s my phone? Did you take it?”
“How would I know where your phone is! I just got here! You just want to inform that Xu person, right? Use my phone to send a message! If she needs anything, she can call this number!”
Seeing his son still unmoved, Caesar added, “Do you have to fall out with your parents over her?”
Ulric’s gaze fell on the phone being offered. Finally, he frowned and took it, sending a message to Rosalind’s number.
[This is Ulric. I’ve lost my phone. If you need anything, call this number.]
Worried that his father might intercept the message, Ulric waited until it showed as sent before handing the phone back.
“If she replies, let me know.”
Caesar snorted angrily, “I don’t know what you see in that woman! How is she better than Sirena?”
“Rosalind is my wife. Please show some respect,” Ulric said calmly but firmly. For Rosalind’s sake, he was now almost completely at odds with his parents.
He had initially hoped to use a gentler approach to get his parents to accept Rosalind, but it seemed unlikely now.
So he had to make his stance clear to avoid any misunderstandings.
Caesar was infuriated by this and was about to speak when the doctor quickly signaled him to stop.
The main goal today was to keep Ulric here. If they kept arguing, they might drive him away, and then it would be impossible to stop him.
