Stone Chief erupted in a burst of laughter, tilting his head back as he said, “Very good, head of the Ford family, you truly have responsibility and courage! I respect elders like you.”
With that, he gave a thumbs up, expressing high praise for Gerry.
However, he did not agree. “But you’re already so old. With little flesh left on you, eating you seems pointless. Your two sons are still young, their muscles haven’t begun to wither yet, so they should be much more delicious. Therefore, I’ve decided to pick one of your sons. This one!” He pointed at Leonel as he spoke.
Then, he extended his tongue, licking Leonel’s neck with a tongue smeared in Marlon’s saliva. The gesture was chilling, making everyone fear he might bite down on Leonel’s flesh.
“Wait a minute…” Gerry shouted angrily, “Did you not just say it was fine to eat me?”
“That was before I saw your two children. Upon closer inspection, I realized they have more meat than you, and their hearts are no smaller. Gerry, cherish your life and enjoy your remaining time!” Stone Chief let out another strange laugh that echoed through the hall. The black shadow behind him grew sinister, evoking extreme disgust.
“Enough!” Suddenly, a cold voice interrupted their exchange. “Don’t think you have a chance to eat anyone here. I tell you, today you won’t eat a single person. Everyone here will die by my hand, and you’re not even qualified to kill them. If you want to live, get out! If you want to die, then come here and accept your fate!”
Kayden, who had been silently watching, finally spoke. He wouldn’t allow Stone Chief to harm anyone here. He had claimed these people as his, and they were his without question. Without his permission, no one could touch the Ford family. Anyone who dared to try and snatch someone from him would have to die first! That was his rule-ironclad and unyielding!
Whether on the battlefield or in this bustling city, his rules remained unchanged.
Stone Chief released Leonel’s throat and slowly turned his gaze towards Kayden.
Their eyes met, a collision of stares in the air. Stone Chief’s gaze burned with primal pride, while Kayden remained calm, as if the world’s turmoil was nothing more than fleeting clouds to him.
Soon, Stone Chief noticed the wildness in Kayden’s eyes, which piqued his interest. Kayden was the first person he had encountered who could remain composed even after witnessing his brutality-something he had never experienced before.
“You’re quite arrogant!” Stone Chief’s eyes suddenly turned blood-red, and he released Leonel’s throat at that moment.
His nose twitched like a dog’s, snorting loudly. Suddenly, it seemed he caught a whiff of something, and his pupils dilated. He shook his head and exclaimed in excitement, “How is it possible? How can there be such a powerful presence? Who… who are you? How can you possess such strength?”
While others identified someone through observation and inquiry, Stone Chief was different. He relied on his sense of smell. Just a whiff was enough for him to discern the status of a person. The Kayden before him was the most astonishing existence he had ever encountered. What kind of person held such an extraordinary presence? He had never encountered such a scent, not even in his own portal’s leader; Kayden was even more powerful.
“You must be…” His eyes darted around, and he clapped his hands in excitement. “You must be a person of great power! If I eat you, I’ll surely ascend to the Master level, and then I won’t have to fear them any longer or hide. Truly a fortuitous opportunity. It seems today is my lucky day.” He spread his arms wide, laughing joyfully as if he might fall over from amusement.
This was Stone Chief’s unique ability-to cultivate power by consuming others, specifically targeting the powerful. The higher the status, the greater the increase in his strength after consumption. He wasn’t surprised or puzzled by Kayden’s identity. All he thought about was eating.
Stone Chief had lost himself, wandering, to the extent that he couldn’t even consider the implications of wanting to consume someone like Kayden.
Kayden gave a cold smile and replied indifferently, “You are already a corpse.”
No sooner had the words left his lips than a killing intent erupted around them.
Kayden opened his fist and put his five fingers together, making his hand like a sharp blade and ready for a fight.
Stone Chief’s smile froze, and his expression darkened. He said, “Is that so? Then I’ll see if you have the ability to turn me into a corpse.”
With that, he waved his hand, sending a chair flying towards Kayden. Quick as a flash, Kayden raised his hand and split the chair in two with a single stroke. Stone Chief said nothing further and charged at Kayden.
The shadow behind him roared like a beast, the sound crashing forward like waves on the sea, carrying a destructive momentum toward Kayden. Tables were overturned, and even the grand hall’s entrance was knocked down.
Then, he lunged at Kayden, the shadow behind him opening its gaping maw as if to swallow Kayden whole.
Kayden stood still, not even raising an eyebrow-this was a clear act of disdain towards Stone Chief!
“You are looking for death.” Seeing this scene, Stone Chief ground his teeth in fury, his entire being ablaze with rage. He had never been ignored like this before! The person before him was merely a seemingly ordinary young man, which fueled his anger even more.
Because Kayden appeared too young, he didn’t consider how much power Kayden might possess. Stone Chief’s mindset was restricted. He believed someone in their twenties couldn’t be particularly capable.
After a lifetime of martial arts practice, he believed he could easily eliminate a young man.
With his first strike, Stone Chief unleashed a brutal martial arts move, determined to subdue Kayden with a single fatal blow.
The techniques of Seclela were not for show or point-scoring. They were meant for killing. A true martial artist uses their skills for combat, not as a mere display. When they strike, their moves are sharper than bullets, capable of delivering fatal blows-that is the true essence of martial arts!
Many claim that Seclela’s martial arts are ineffective and merely beautiful to watch, but that is because they have never seen the killing techniques!
