It was still Greyson. Seeing that he was being so persistent, Taya was a little at a loss. She didn’t accept his friend request, and instead, she cleared all the messages and notifications. When she was planning to deactivate her account, she saw the group chat with all the clients she had worked with before, and someone had tagged Griffon.
That group was established by the headquarters of Thorin Group to manage their clients, and the people in it were basically CEOs of conglomerates. She thought that after her death, people from the company would kick her out of the group, but she didn’t expect that… The person who tagged Griffon was Henry, the general manager of the Wilton pack. It seemed that there he had an urgent matter to discuss with Griffon, so he directly tagged him in the group. However, it was impossible for Griffon to respond to this kind of message. Previously, it was the people from Thorin Group who asked her to persuade him to join the group. Thinking of the past, Taya clicked on his profile picture… She had blocked him after they separated.
They were not friends on Facebook) but she could still see records of their past conversations. She clicked into it and saw the conversation from three years ago. “Griffon, you’ve been on a business trip abroad for three months. When will you be back?” That was when she was afraid that she would not be able to wait for him, so she mustered up the courage to send him a message, but he did not reply to it.
Taya clicked on that message, and she saw that the conversation was very short. There was nothing special either. The only thing that warmed her heart was when he sent her two messages when he was sick. One was, “I miss you.” The other was, “Having a stomachache. Come see me.” It was already midnight when she saw those two messages, but she immediately put on her coat, bought some medicine, and went over to him. Taya saw Griffon lying on the sofa, his hand on his stomach. His tall and straight body was curled up slightly, and he looked like he was in a lot of pain. She brought a cup of warm water with some medicine and walked up to him. Then, she softly called his name. Hearing her voice, Griffon slowly opened his eyes, looking at her in a daze. After a while, he called her name, “Taya…” His tone was usually cold, but this time, it was soft and gentle, perhaps it was because he was sick. However, Taya couldn’t help curling the corners of her mouth as she heard his gentle voice. She smiled sweetly and said, “I brought you some medicine. Why don’t you take it first?” Griffon shook his head, raised his fingers, and patted the space beside him. “Come lie down with me for a while.” Taya always listened to him, so she nodded obediently, and put down the medicine and water before lying down beside him. He hugged her in his arms, lowered his thick eyelashes, and looked at her palm-sized face with his beautiful eyes. After staring at her for a while, Griffon asked her, “Why did you come to me only now?” Taya didn’t dare to look at him, and replied in a soft voice, “I saw the message you sent me, so…” He continued to ask her, “Which message is it that made you come?” She answered the one where he said he had a gastric and Griffon stopped talking.
Taya raised her head and glanced at him, just in time to see him frowning, as if he was in severe pain. She persuaded him to take some medicine, but he refused to take it, so she mustered up her courage, reached out her little hand, and gently rubbed his stomach for him. She was looking down at the moment so she didn’t see his reaction, but she felt his arm around her tighten. That night, he hugged her as they lay on the sofa. They didn’t do anything and just fell asleep with his arms around her like a couple. The next morning, although fully awake, Griffon maintained the same posture, not willing to let go of her… Taya recalled these details and suddenly felt his love for her. However, everything it’s too late right then… She put the memories of the past behind her, logged out of the Facebook account, and planned to call Harper… Before she dialed Harper’s number, George’s call came in first. “Ms. Palmer, didn’t you take your medicine on time?” Taya sighed when she heard that question. “George, Amon was afraid that I would run away, so he didn’t give me the medicine.” George was silent for a few seconds. Gritting his teeth, he said, “I’ll go see him.” Taya wanted to ask if those medicines were available in the country, but George had already hung up. In the next second, Harper’s call came in.
She asked, “Taya, why is your phone always turned off?” It was already midnight when Harper left the nightclub the previous night. Noticing Taya’s missed call, she rushed back, only to find that Taya’s phone was turned off. Fearing that something might happen to Taya, Harper drove to Amon’s villa. The servant said that Taya had already gone to bed, so she went home with peace of mind. When Harper woke up that morning, she called Taya again, but the Taya’s phone was still turned off. Just as she was about to rush to the villa to find her, the call- went through. Harper was finally at ease. Taya was embarra*sed and she replied, “Harper, I’m sorry but my phone broke. I just switched back to my old phone.” Harper replied, “It’s okay”. Then, she continued to ask, “You called me last night. What’s the matter?” Taya briefly explained to Harper the conflict she had with Amon, and after telling Harper not to worry, she rea*sured her, “I’ll see you later and take you to meet someone.” Harper didn’t ask who she was going to meet; she just agreed. After making an appointment with Harper, Taya changed her clothes. That set of pajamas that she was wearing was given to her by Harper the day before. Amon took it away before she could change into it. After changing into a fresh set of clothes, she took her old mobile phone and went downstairs…
Amon was sitting in the dining room having breakfast. When he saw her, he continued eating as if nothing happened. However, Taya couldn’t pretend that nothing happened, so she glanced at him coldly, turned around, and walked out of the villa. “Come back.” A cold voice came from behind her, but Taya ignored it. Amon put down the knife and fork in his hand, and tapped his finger on the gla*s table, “Don’t you want your medicine?” Taya turned her head and stared at Amon. “What exactly do you want? Amon pushed the box of medicine in Taya’s direction and said, “Come here. Let’s discuss some conditions.” Taya glanced at him, then at the box of medicine, and said coldly, “I don’t want it anymore. You can keep it for yourself.” She turned and left, but Amon said, “If you agree to my conditions, I’ll go back to Aronland.” Hearing that he was going back to Aronland, Taya stopped. She turned her head again and looked at him. “On what condition?” Amon propped one hand on the dining table and beckoned to her with his long fingers. “Come here.” Taya hesitated for a few seconds before she walked over and sat opposite him.
Amon picked up the envelope on the table, and handed it to Taya, saying, “Sign it, and I’ll leave immediately.” Taya opened the envelope, took out an agreement, and saw the three terms on it. However, the terms did not clearly stipulate what she had to do. It was only stated she would not be doing anything illegal. Seeing such an agreement, Taya did not want to act rashly. “I won’t sign it if the terms are not written clearly.”
