“At the moment, they probably can’t come and go freely, otherwise they would have already come out. But some individuals might have special ways to get in and out!” Tommy nodded.
“Moreover, I believe the seal there is almost broken!”
The Scholar and Annalise gasped, their faces turning serious.
“What’s going on exactly?” Billy asked.
“I’ll tell you later. Let’s deal with these ghosts first!” Tommy said, taking out everyone’s swords from his storage ring and handing them back.
Then he looked at Billy again. “Remove the array!”
“Sir, do you have a way to deal with them?” Bob asked.
“You can handle them too!” Tommy replied.
“Uh…” Bob’s mouth twitched slightly. “We couldn’t deal with them, which is why we trapped them with the array.”
“I’ve modified your swords; they can now cut through these wandering spirits!” Tommy said.
“Really?” Bob exclaimed in surprise, and everyone else was equally stunned.
“Try it and see!” Tommy said again.
“Alright!” Bob said, then turned to Stout. “Stout, remove the array!”
“Got it!” Stout replied.
In no time, the array was removed. The wandering ghosts, upon seeing everyone, flashed towards them with renewed vigor.
“Let me try!” Bob said in a deep voice, raising his hand to slash out a sharp sword light.
The swordlight struck one of the ghosts, producing a muffled sound as the figure exploded and vanished instantly.
“It really works?” Everyone was stunned.
“Attack!” Billy commanded in a deep voice.
“Alright!” Casey and Harleen responded before rushing forward.
Oh!
Next, a series of muffled sounds echoed in the void as one figure after another exploded.
The entire process lasted five or six minutes, and hundreds of ghosts were all reduced to nothingness, restoring calm to the scene.
“This is amazing?!” Azure Dragon looked at his broadsword and then turned to Tommy. “Sir, how did you do it?”
Not only him, but everyone else also looked at their swords in astonishment. There were no visible changes on the surface, yet they could easily cut down those ghosts. It was unbelievable.
Additionally, they vaguely felt that their swords had likely been upgraded by several levels, incomparable to two days ago.
“You wouldn’t understand even if I told you!” Tommy replied before looking at Billy. “Mr. Billy, your sword is a treasure; don’t lose it!”
“With my level of craftsmanship, I can only unlock sixty to seventy percent of its potential. To fully unleash its power, you’d probably need to go to a higher-level star domain!”
“Thank you, Sir!” Billy responded with a slight bow after a moment’s hesitation.
He didn’t know what secrets his Bloodshadow Fury Blade held. He had asked the old master before, but it seemed even the old master wasn’t very clear.
“Sir, can you find the person controlling those souls?” After a brief pause, Billy looked at Tommy again.
He had previously used his spiritual power to search within a hundred-kilometer radius but found nothing.
“Don’t bother looking; they’ve already left!” Tommy shook his head.
Then Tommy led everyone into the palace hall.
Though the outer walls of the palace were dilapidated, Tommy had cleaned the interior thoroughly, making it orderly and spotless.
“Sir, can you tell us about those ghosts now?” Judge asked as everyone took their seats.
“Do you know why the Enchantress of the Enchant Realm wants to steal the Skystone?” Tommy didn’t directly answer Judge’s question.
“Not really,” Judge shook his head and added, “I’ve heard that the Skystone is a key to unlocking something?”
“Yes,” Tommy nodded. “The Skystone is the key to unlocking the Silent Ruins Sky Realm!”
He continued, “Do you know what kind of place the Silent Ruins Sky Realm is?”
“No,” everyone shook their heads simultaneously.
“It’s a very dangerous place!” Tommy’s face turned slightly grave as he added, “It’s the most dangerous place in the entire mid-level star domain, bar none!”
“Why?” Judge asked. “What’s inside?”
“A long time ago, a group of uninvited guests arrived from a sixth-level star domain, including humans and beasts,” Tommy said again.
“No one knew where they came from; they seemed to appear out of nowhere. The only certainty was that they did not belong to this star domain.”
“There are two theories about their origin: one is that they came from a seventh-level star domain; the other is that they crossed over from another universe.”
“And then?” Soul Chaser asked.
“Since their arrival, this star domain has been plunged into calamity, like doomsday!” Tommy responded.
“Their goal was to rule the entire sixth-level star domain. Anyone who dared oppose them was killed.”
“According to incomplete statistics, nearly ten million people were killed in that calamity. They truly regarded human lives as worthless.”
Hearing this number, Billy and the others gasped in shock.
Nearly ten million?!
They had heard of many great calamities and massacres along their journey, but none involved more than a million people at most.
Nearly ten million was too exaggerated!
“How could so many people die?” White Tiger couldn’t help but ask. “Were they very strong?”
“Not just strong; extremely strong!” Tommy nodded.
“It’s said that at that time, the top expert of the sixth-level star domain-a genuine Supreme Ancestry Realm master-represented the star domain in negotiations with them.”
“The negotiations didn’t go well; conflict broke out. That top expert couldn’t withstand even one move from one of their core members and was annihilated!”
Hearing this, everyone was once again shocked.
A Supreme Ancestry Realm expert couldn’t withstand even one move?
Terrifying!
“They killed so many people partly to eliminate opposition and rule this star domain and partly because some of them enhanced their power by refining warriors’ souls,” Tommy continued.
“They didn’t just target humans; other creatures in this star domain weren’t spared either. Especially some flying beasts and wild animals faced near extinction.”
Hearing this, Billy and the others finally understood what kind of great calamity had befallen the sixth-level star domain!
It indeed qualified as a great calamity!
“What happened next? Where did they go?” Felicia asked.
“The Silent Ruins Sky Realm!” Tommy continued.
“The Silent Ruins Sky Realm?” Billy and the others were puzzled.
“Yes,” Tommy nodded.
“According to ancient books, just when the entire sixth-level star domain was about to fall into despair, a high master appeared from nowhere.”
“He single-handedly fought against all those uninvited guests. Through his efforts, he eventually drove them all into the Silent Ruins Sky Realm.”
“And using special methods, he sealed that space. Since then, no one has been able to enter or leave!”
