Leo still remembered the reluctance in Princess Isabelle’s eyes when he said his farewells.
Leo and Isabelle made a promise that he would visit her in Albion in the future.
The next day, Brier came to the Nameless Clinic.
Besides picking up some medicine, he brought Leo some valuable gifts.
As a mentor, Leo spent the entire morning teaching Brier the basics of traditional medicine.
Additionally, Leo gave Brier a diagram of human acupoints, instructing him to memorize them thoroughly once he returned home.
Given Brier’s age, it was unlikely he would master Atrarian traditional medicine, but Leo did his best to teach him some foundational principles to aid his practice of modern medicine.
Before Brier left the clinic, Leo called Shiloh over and introduced her as his senior disciple.
Leo would always remember the expressions on their faces when the old man and the young woman first met.
A week later, Isabelle’s health had improved significantly, looking like a healthy child compared to her previous sickly state.
On the day Prince George and his entourage departed, Leo and Brennen went to the airport to see them off.
Many media reporters were also present.
The princess personally presented Leo with flowers, and Prince George gave him a big hug, saying with teary eyes, “Dr. Leo, we will meet again. Soon, Her Majesty the Queen will visit Atraria to award you the Golden Eagle Medallion! Please accept my sincerest thanks once more!”
“Dr. Leo, thank you!” Princess Isabelle handed Leo an ancient coin she cherished. “You promised to visit me in Albion. Don’t forget!”
Leo smiled and nodded at the little princess.
“Master, I’m going back. I will miss you,” Brier said, hugging Leo tightly.
After spending nearly a week together and witnessing Leo’s remarkable skills, Brier was thoroughly convinced of Leo’s expertise.
Brier also realized how absurd his previous prejudice against traditional medicine had been. If not for his age, he might have considered abandoning modern medicine to study traditional medicine.
As they parted, Leo reminded him, “Remember what I told you at the clinic. Practice the basics of traditional medicine diligently. If you encounter any difficulties, feel free to video call me.”
“Thank you, Master!” Brier nodded earnestly.
After Prince George and his entourage boarded the plane, Leo and Brennen went their separate ways.
Satisfied with the successful conclusion of events, Brennen decided to catch an afternoon flight back to the capital.
On his way back to the clinic, Leo received a message from Chloe.
Chloe said she had tried everything but still couldn’t open the Iron Gate and hoped Leo could help.
Leo thought for a moment and replied that he would come to see it himself.
Chloe was delighted and sent a series of excited emojis.
Just then, Leo’s phone rang. It was Arlene calling.
After answering, Arlene asked Leo to come to Spirit Moon Antiques for an important matter.
Leo decided to postpone his plan to return to the clinic and fly directly to Black Tiger Mountain. Instead, he headed towards Spirit Moon Antiques.
Upon arriving at Spirit Moon Antiques, Leo saw a familiar figure before even entering the door.
Walking inside, Leo finally recognized who it was-reporter Domingo!
“Leo!” Arlene greeted him as he entered.
Domingo turned around and looked surprised upon seeing Leo.
“Miss Noah,” Leo smiled at Domingo.
“Leo, what brings you here?” Domingo asked curiously.
Leo replied, “The boss called me over. What about you?”
“I’m here for an interview about the Western Xia Treasury antiques craze,” Domingo answered.
Arlene and her sister were surprised that Leo knew the famous reporter Domingo and quickly invited them inside to sit down.
With three women chatting enthusiastically and Leo as a supporting character, they soon became well-acquainted.
“Miss Noah, I’ve watched all your shows. In one episode, you visited the Coffinwood group in Western Xia Treasury and asked why there were Coffinwoods there. Then you accidentally fell onto a coffin…” Arlene laughed as she spoke.
Domingo laughed too. “If Miss Chloe hadn’t pulled me up, I might have fallen into the coffin.”
“Yes! Chloe almost got pulled down by you too. By the way, what was inside that coffin? Can you tell me?”
Although it was their first meeting, Arlene and Domingo chatted like old friends who had known each other for decades.
Christine, who originally wanted to introduce Domingo to Spirit Moon Antiques, was left out and could only look at Leo helplessly.
Christine leaned over and whispered, “How do you know her?”
“It’s a long story…” Leo briefly recounted how he first met Domingo and treated her father’s illness to Christine.
After hearing Leo’s story, Christine couldn’t help but marvel at the wonders of fate.
“By the way, Arlene called me over. Is there something important?” Leo asked.
Christine nodded. “I’m planning a trip to Western Xia Treasury and would like to invite you along. Can you come?”
“If you’re going to Western Xia Treasury, what about Arlene?”
“Someone needs to watch the store. Of course, she’ll stay here. Miss Noah is also going. Do you have time?” Christine asked expectantly.
Leo nodded. “When do we leave?”
“Tomorrow morning. Send me your ID number so I can book the tickets.” Christine was pleased with Leo’s agreement.
That evening, Leo found an excuse to inform Sophia about his trip.
Early the next morning, Leo, Christine, Domingo, and her colleagues boarded a plane to Shanyang City.
Black Tiger Mountain was over a hundred kilometers from the city center.
The Razor Pass in Western Xia Treasury was located at the southernmost part of Black Tiger Mountain. The area was remote and known for its haunted reputation among nearby villages.
After getting off the plane, the group took a taxi to Black Tiger Mountain.
They couldn’t go directly to Razor Pass because taxi drivers refused to go there due to its bad reputation and poor road conditions. No amount of money could persuade them otherwise.
