The professor sat down on his chair and Celine sat on the one opposite him.
“Well, what do you want, Miss S?”
“I need to borrow Stephanie” she replied, smiling at him.
“There is no need for that, she is not here” the professor replied.
“What?”
“She is not in school” he repeated.
“I heard the first time, Samuel !” Celine snapped.
“I guess I wasted my time in coming here, anyway keep me posted” she said and left the room.
Celine went out of the school and entered her car, “did you meet her?” Tiger asked from the driver seat.
“No, she is not here” she replied.
“Go Kyla and tell her to meet me now” she ordered.
“Okay, Miss S” Tiger replied and brought out his phone from his pocket.
“She is not picking” he said to Celine after calling Kyla.
“What do you mean that she is not picking?” Celine asked and snatched the phone from him.
“Is this her number?” She asked him.
“Yes ma” Tiger replied.
Celine dialed the number but there was no reply and she angrily threw the phone out of the car.
Tiger got out and picked the phone and came back into the car.
“Why is everything not going as I planned it?” She asked no one in particular.
“Drive me to Fred’s house” Celine ordered.
“Yes, Miss S” Tiger and drove the car driving at a fast speed so she won’t get frustrated more.
“I think I should start the plan with immediate effect” she thought and started smiling hysterically.
“I need two bucket sized ice cream, vanilla and chocolate flavour” Mia said to the trader selling ice cream by the road side.
“Do you want them mixed or separately?” The trader asked.
“Separately” Mia replied.
The trader nodded and started dishing out the ice cream into the buckets, she gave Mia a little plate of it which she ate.
“It is good, do you make them yourselves?” Mia asked when she was done eating the ice cream.
“Yes ma” she replied, the trader was a woman in her late fifties but she actually looked younger.
“That’s amazing, I will be coming here often” Mia said.
“Please do, Miss” the trader replied and started covering the first bucket.
After she was done with the first, she turned to the second one and covered it too.
“Here you go, ma’am” she said after packaging it.
“Thanks” Mia said and paid her, she wanted to give Mia her change but Mia told her to keep it.
Mia then carried the ice cream, hailed a cab and got into it, “drive me to LEO’s estate” she said to the driver.
“That will be $500” the driver said to her.
“What?, have you lost your mind?” Mia asked beyond surprised.
“Since you are living there, it must be a small amount of money for you” he said.
Mia got out the cab and went to the front seat, she stuck her head into the window and said to him, “you are crazy”.
She said that and shifted away and the driver drove off while yelling at her.
Edward held the steering wheel firmly as he drive to Calvin’s house, since he started working for him this was the first he wanted to question his action.
“What has she done?” He asked no one in particular.
He wanted to ask Calvin but he couldn’t because asking him mean he is challenging him.
And that was the last thing on his mind. He was driving by the university and a thought crossed on his mind to look for Mia there.
“Nah, that is not right” he said and drove away from the school.
After ten minutes of driving pass the university, Edward saw someone that looked like Mia standing by the road side and he stopped to make sure that his eyes were not playing tricks on him.
He got out of the car and went towards the girl and saw that it was actually her.
“Mia?” He asked when he got closer to her.
She looked up at him very surprised to see him there, “what are you doing here?” She asked.
“I was just driving by then I saw you” Edward replied.
“Are you going home?, let me drive you” he offered.
“No, thank you, I will just take a cab home” Mia replied.
Edward then took the bag she was carrying and walked towards his car.
“Where are you going with my bag?” Mia asked and followed him till they reached where his car was parked.
Edward opened the back door and dropped the bag on the chair and then opened the passenger seat for her.
“Levi won’t forgive me if he hear that I left you on the road” he said.
“Now get in” he added, having no other choice Mia entered the car and he went into the driver’s seat.
Edward started the car and drove away, he reached at an intersection and took a right turn.
” I don’t like taking that road” Mia commented.
“Why is that?” Edward asked.
“Because there is always a bad traffic at the tunnel” she replied.
“There won’t be any today trust me” he said.
When they reached the tunnel there was a traffic there so Edward stopped the car.
“See I told you but you said there won’t be any today” Mia said.
“Well I followed this road in the morning and there wasn’t any traffic so I thought it would be like that now” Edward replied.
“I am going out thanks for the ride” she said and wanted to get out of the car but Edward locked the car.
Mia opened the door but it wouldn’t open so she turned to him and asked him to open the door.
“No, we have to wait till it the traffic clears” he said.
“Are you nuts?, you are definitely nuts. You expect me to wait while my ice cream melts?” Mia replied.
Edward got up from his seat and carried the bag from the back seat and gave it to her, “or you can eat it here” he said.
Mia opened the bag, brought out one of the ice cream and started eating while cursing him in his mind.
After ten minutes the traffic was free so they continued going home.
Mia’s stomach was already full and she was just trying to eat more of the ice cream.
“You are full but you are still eating, you want your stomach to explode?” Edward asked, grinning at her.
“Wait a second, you are nice to me, why are you nice to me? Because last time I checked you despises me” Mia said.
“Yeah I did but that was before you started dating Levi, I think of you as a sister-in-law now” Edward replied.
“Sister-in-law my foot” Mia muttered.
She looked at him and saw that he was smiling while controlling the wheel.
“Is there something on my face?” He asked when he noticed that she was staring at him.
“Yes, should I remove it for you?” Mia asked.
“Yes, please” he replied.
Mia shifted closer to him and touched his cheek pretending that she was removing something.
She was actually scratching the cheek so Edward turned his head and was facing her.
Their face was one inch apart and they were staring into each other eyes.
Mia parted her mouth and went closer but Edward turned his face around and she kissed his cheek.
Mia shifted back to her seat and started scrolling through her phone as if nothing happened.
“Why did you do that?” He asked.
“Do what?, I don’t know what you are talking about” she replied.
“Please don’t try such again. You are my friend’s girlfriend so we can’t do that” Edward said.
“Sure” Mia replied.
They had reached the residence so Edward drove in, immediately he stopped the car Mia came out and rushed into the house.
She went straight to Dorothy’s room, went inside and closed the door.
She then covered her face and started shaking it until Dorothy asked her what she was doing.
“Oh my gosh, Doro” she said and went to her, “I didn’t know that you were here”.
“Yes, you wouldn’t because you were busy shaking your head, why were doing that?” Dorothy asked.
“I fucked up Doro, I fucked up big time” she replied.
Dorothy led her to the bed and they sat down, “tell me what happened”.
Mia then narrated everything that happened without removing any detail.
“Wow, this is complicated, do you still have feelings for him?” Dorothy asked.
“I am really confused now” she replied.
“I think you should just take a deep breath. Tell me how you feel about the two of them”.
“That’s the problem Doro, I like them both” Mia replied.
“How do Levi make you feel?” Dorothy asked.
She wanted to reply but was interrupted by someone knocking on the door.
“Come in, it is open” Dorothy said and the person came in.
