“Don Sanchez is gonna know if we do her before him. The fuck*r not gonna like that. When he’s done with her, we gon’ have the Bitch for ourselves.”
Kourtney swallowed as her blood ran cold.
The malicious intent in their words was unmistakable, and the realization that she had fallen into the clutches of these depraved men made her stomach churn with dread.
As the free tears slipped down her cheeks, thoughts of her no-good husband echoed in her mind.
How could he drop her in such a dangerous place without any guilt?
How could he have abandoned her so callously, leaving her vulnerable to such horrors?
She had heard of all his cruel and inhuman ways of dealing with those who offended him, but she never thought that the man would be this heartless towards her, his own wife.
He left her in these bad areas without a single ounce of sympathy.
He purposely threw her here to the wolves on purpose!
He knew what would happen to her, but he didn’t care.
What a heartless man!
‘”I’ll never forgive him for this!” She sobbed.
The realization that she was at the mercy of ruthless individuals because of him made her heart swell with contempt.
She swore that if she ever survived this nightmare, that dirtbag of a husband she had would never set his eyes on her ever again……
Suddenly, the car lurched into motion, jolting Kourtney’s body against the confines of the booth.
She could feel every bump and turn as the car rumbled on, each moment bringing her closer to an uncertain fate.
Through the crack in the trunk, she caught glimpses of passing streetlights and buildings, a fleeting reminder of the outside world she was being kept away from.
As the car finally came to a stop, Kourtney braced herself for what was to come. She could clearly hear the sound of the men’s voices once again…..
“Let’s get her out and present her to the boss,” one of them said eagerly.

Sebastian bit uncontrollably on his fingernails in the backseat of his Bentley. It was a long-term habit of his since childhood to bite his nails whenever he was feeling disturbed or anxious. But those scenarios barely ever happened at all for years now.
What could ever make the Almighty CEO of Woods Corporation anxious?
Absolutely nothing!
Or so he thought…..
He was very wrong to think he wouldn’t feel that kind of uneasiness again….. especially when Kourtney Erin Allen existed.
Jamie, who sat in the passenger seat beside him, nervously fiddled with his tie. He just ended a phone conversation with Sebastian’s head of security. He cleared his throat nervously, breaking the heavy silence that enveloped the car.
“Sir, the Madame didn’t go to her family villa,” he spoke up, his voice laced with concern while Sebastian’s bite on his finger tightened, worry gnawing at him.
“And Sir, the Madame also didn’t go back to Skyline events,” Jamie hesitated for a moment before continuing, his brows furrowed. “She… she also hasn’t contacted anyone. It’s like she’s disappeared into thin air.”
He stole glances at his boss, noticing how unusually tense Sebastian was as he chewed on his nails like a child. Sebastian, usually so composed and in control, looked like a man teetering on the edge of a breakdown.
He had never seen him like this before so powerless, so vulnerable, so lost!
Sebastian remained silent, his mind racing with possibilities and regrets. His heart clenched at the thought of Kourtney missing.
He had never been so nervous in his entire life as he is now.
“What was I thinking?” he sighed with fear and apprehension written all over his face.
What he fu*k was he thinking?
He hadn’t bothered to ask his men for the surveillance footage, at least to confirm the truth of Kourtney’s infidelity.
It seems like when it came to this woman, he just couldn’t think straight and always acted like a fool!
Images of Kourtney’s tear-streaked face haunted him, making him feel terribly guilty and downcast. He cursed himself for not thinking things through, being so thickheaded, and acting like a wild animal.
He had quickly jumped straight to conclusions with just some pictures taken out of context. His sixth sense wasn’t as reliable as he thought, after all.
Or maybe, he had just been too blinded by anger and the feeling of being betrayed yet again….
That feeling which he hated the most in this life!
He wasn’t thinking when he dropped her off there. To make matters worse, he doesn’t even remember where exactly he dropped the poor woman off.
And now they were driving around Melbourne City with absolutely no idea where she might be.
“I should have never let her go,” Sebastian muttered to himself, his voice barely above a whisper.
He felt responsible for Kourtney’s disappearance, for putting her in harm’s way without fully understanding the situation. He had acted impulsively, and now he was paying the price……

In a dimly lit room, a single lamp cast eerie shadows against the walls, creating a sense of foreboding. Amidst the darkness, isolation, and silence, the whole scene felt so intimidating.
Approaching footsteps could be heard, intensifying the sense of foreboding that hung in the air.
The dim light finally illuminated a figure cloaked in darkness. It revealed the presence of a big, burly man. He was heavily built, large, and strong….. The kind of man who could easily beat up ten normal-sized men at a go.
His eyes, deep and black as the night, bore a huge scar that sliced across his left brow, down to his cheek, adding a menacing air to his countenance. He seemed to be in his mid-thirties.
He was clad in black gloves and a black leather jacket. He had similar facial and body tattoos to the other men, comprising of snakes, dragons, scorpions, and every other scary animal in existence, enhancing the air of danger that surrounded him.
On sighting him, Kourtney shivered with fright from head to toe on the king-sized bed where she lay tied up.
The man looked so dangerous, so unpredictable….
