After lunch, Alex had a study hall period and stopped by his office. “Is Mr. Jeffries in?” she asked his secretary.
She clicked a button on the phone. “Mr. Jeffries, Alex Andresani is here to see you.”
“Okay, send her in,” came the voice from the phone.

At the end of the day, she stopped back by the office and poked her head in. “Did you get a chance to visit with my sister?” she asked, smiling and lifting a single leg up onto one of the chairs in his office.
