“Let’s go up and take a look!” Billy led the group quickly to the third floor.
As soon as they stepped out of the staircase, everyone was taken aback. The place was in chaos, with ancient books scattered all over the floor. Stout looked at a hole in the outer wall with a delighted expression. “Stout, what are you doing?” Felicia shouted.
“Boss, you’re here!” Stout grinned and walked over. “There are a lot of good things on this floor. See if there’s anything you like.”
“How can we find anything with this mess?” Felicia glared at him. “You’ve turned this place into a bandit’s den. Be careful, Annalise might kick you out!”
“Hehe, I’ll clean it up right away!” Stout laughed.
“Stout, what technique are you practicing?” Judge asked.
“Pinnacle Fist!” Stout waved the ancient book in his hand. “This is a good one, better than what I had before…”
“Clean this up first!” Ivy glared at him.
Everyone pitched in to restore the third floor to its original state, though the hole in the outer wall was beyond repair for now.
“Mr. Billy!”
Just as they finished, The Scholar’s voice rang out, and he appeared from the staircase.
“Senior, I’m sorry, my brother…” Ivy pointed to the hole.
“No problem!” The Scholar’s mouth twitched as he looked at it, then he turned to Billy. “Mr. Billy, we might need to go out for a bit.”
“Senior, what’s going on?” Billy asked, puzzled.
“In the past month, people from Asura City have been frantically searching for you in Radiant City,” The Scholar replied. “Many innocent citizens have been hurt. They said if they don’t see you within three days, they’ll slaughter the entire Radiant City.”
“Is that so?” Billy’s eyes narrowed.
“Senior, do you know who is leading them from Asura City?” Harleen asked.
“It should be their Deputy City Lord Lincoln Wynn,” The Scholar answered.
“The third-rank Holy Ancestry Realm Deputy City Lord?” Casey asked.
“Yes,” The Scholar nodded.
Hearing this, Casey and the others frowned.
“Senior, do you know where they are?” Billy continued to ask.
“I do,” The Scholar nodded again.
“Please lead the way,” Billy said, then turned to Harleen. “Harleen, you and Opal stay here. I’ll go meet them.”
“Billy, it’s too dangerous for you to go alone. Let me accompany you,” Harleen offered.
The others also showed concern on their faces.
“No worries,” Billy replied. “With White Feather and Purple Spirit, it shouldn’t be a big problem.”
“But…” Harleen started to say.
“Harleen, we better not go,” Opal interrupted. “Billy Boy might be safer without us.”
“Alright then,” Harleen agreed reluctantly. She knew that as Opal said, they would only be a burden if they went along.
Half an hour later, Billy and The Scholar appeared outside the west gate of Radiant City.
“Mr. Billy, are you confident?” The Scholar asked as they walked towards the city center.
“It’s worth a try,” Billy smiled faintly.
“If you’re outmatched, don’t force it,” The Scholar advised.
“Understood,” Billy nodded.
A quarter of an hour later, they reached the central square of Radiant City. Billy saw thousands of people gathered there.
“Listen up!” In the center of the crowd, an Ironclad Fury scanned everyone and shouted loudly. “Our Deputy City Lord’s Mansion gave you three days. Today is the last day. If we don’t see Billy by then, you’ll have to fend for yourselves!”
“You people from Asura City are too overbearing! You can’t find someone and take it out on us!” a man shouted back.
“You’ve already hurt so many innocents before today. What more do you want?” a woman responded. “The person you’re looking for might not even be in Radiant City…”
“Shut up!” Ironclad Fury yelled coldly. “If you keep talking, I’ll send you on your way right now!”
“Hmph!” the woman snorted coldly. “Asura City may be strong, but I don’t believe you can kill all of us!”
“We’ll fight them to the end!” an old man shouted back.
“Fight them!” another man yelled.
“Fight!” many people in the crowd shouted together.
“If you want to die so badly, I’ll send you on your way!” At that moment, an old man in a blue robe flew into the air above the square. Without any hesitation, he raised his hand and struck down at the crowd below. From his aura, it was clear he was at the half-step Entering Ancestry Realm level.
“Watch out!” someone in the crowd screamed in alarm.
Just then, a blood-red blade light appeared in mid-air and flashed through the old man’s body without any resistance. In the next moment, his aura deflated like a punctured balloon, and blood spurted from his body. The old man opened his mouth but couldn’t utter a word as his body split in two and fell from the sky.
Seeing this scene, the crowd gasped in astonishment. A half-step Entering Ancestry Realm expert was slain with one strike?
Everyone began searching for the person who made the move but couldn’t find anyone after looking around for a long time.
Then, more than a dozen Ironclad Fury members flew into the air from the square, each drawing out their scythes.
“Who did that?!” one of them shouted angrily at the crowd below. “Show yourself!”
Before he could finish speaking, several more blood-red blade lights flashed through the air with unstoppable force. The dozen or so Ironclad Fury members, whose highest cultivation was only at the sixth-rank Breaking Emptiness Realm level, had no chance of resisting and were all cut in half by the blade lights.
The crowd gasped again in astonishment.
“Asura City’s experts will arrive soon! Everyone leave here immediately!” Billy flew into the air and shouted loudly.
“You there, who are you?” an old man asked Billy.
“He… he’s Mr. Billy! I’ve seen his portrait!” a man shouted before Billy could respond.
Before the man finished speaking, an overwhelming aura swept in from not far away. The entire void was enveloped in an incredibly terrifying pressure, causing many people below to shiver involuntarily.
“Why aren’t you leaving?” Billy shouted again.
Realizing the danger, the crowd quickly scattered in all directions. Watching the excitement was important, but saving their own lives came first.
Soon after, a group of people from Asura City flew towards Billy and stopped not far from him. Leading them was Asura City’s Deputy City Lord Lincoln Wynn, a third-rank Holy Ancestry Realm expert! Behind him were two elderly men and women in gray robes, both also at the Holy Ancestry Realm level. Besides these three, there were twenty or thirty others; half wore Ironclad Fury uniforms and the other half gray robes, all at various stages of Breaking Emptiness Realm cultivation.
“So you’ve decided to show yourself?” Lincoln Wynn looked at Billy and spoke.
