Dr. Rudolph nodded, his expression slightly more serious. “I don’t know much about Seung Kim, only that his Needlework skills are exceptional.”
“Leo, to be honest, I asked Rosemary to invite you for dinner today. As you mentioned earlier, I am also a part of Atrarian traditional medicine, and I want to contribute my strength to this matter.”
Leo raised an eyebrow and asked, “Dr. Rudolph, do you have any good strategies?”
“No strategies, but I do have a set of Needlework techniques.” Dr. Rudolph smiled again. “Do you know the top Needlework techniques in the current traditional medicine industry?”
Leo initially wanted to mention his Nine Extreme Mystical Needles but realized it originated from his cultivation heritage and had never appeared in Atrarian traditional medicine. So he said instead, “Is it the Ghost Gate Thirteen Needles?”
Dr. Rudolph shook his head with a smile.
Leo was slightly taken aback and thought for a moment before saying, “Dr. Rudolph, could it be the legendary…”
“Bodhidharma’s Touch!” Dr. Rudolph completed the sentence for Leo.
Bodhidharma’s Touch, as the name suggests, is a Needlework technique passed down by Bodhidharma, the founder of Zen Buddhism.
It is said that Bodhidharma’s Touch can not only cure all diseases but also has miraculous abilities to bring the dead back to life.
Although Bodhidharma’s Touch has always been rumored in the Atrarian traditional medicine community, there are no specific records of its Needle Application methods.
Many traditional doctors believe that Bodhidharma’s Touch is merely a mythical legend fabricated by someone unknown.
Dr. Rudolph reached into his pocket and took out an ancient book with yellowed pages and tattered edges.
He carefully handed the ancient book to Leo.
Leo received it with both hands and cautiously opened the first page.
The content was in ancient script, and the book occasionally emitted a musty smell, indicating its age.
This ancient book had no title or table of contents. Besides the traditional script, it contained simple line drawings of human acupoints.
After a brief reading, Leo could determine that this was likely the legendary Bodhidharma’s Touch.
If used with Spiritual Power, this set of Bodhidharma’s Touch would be no less effective than the Nine Extreme Mystical Needles.
Curious, Leo asked, “Dr. Rudolph, where did you get this ancient Needlework book?”
“It was passed down from my great-grandfather. As for how he got it, there are no records in the family.”
After saying this convoluted statement, Dr. Rudolph continued with a bitter smile, “To be honest, I’ve studied this book for decades and haven’t fully understood even the first needle.”
“In fact, I wanted to give you this Bodhidharma’s Touch book as a wedding gift some time ago…” Dr. Rudolph’s expression turned slightly awkward as he spoke.
Leo felt even more awkward and quickly said, “Dr. Rudolph, I am already married.”
“Leo, Grandpa, tidy up the table; dinner is almost ready!” Rosemary suddenly called out from the kitchen.
It was clear that Rosemary deliberately interrupted the conversation about marriage.
Dr. Rudolph looked at his granddaughter and then at Leo, sighing helplessly.
Shortly after meeting Leo, Dr. Rudolph knew that Leo was married and that he was a submissive son-in-law.
In Dr. Rudolph’s mind, someone as capable as Leo should have divorced quickly. However, not only did they not divorce, but their relationship also grew stronger.
This reality left Dr. Rudolph, who wanted Leo and Rosemary to be together, with no choice but to sigh.
If not for preserving the dignity of Atrarian traditional medicine and promoting it worldwide, Dr. Rudolph would have been reluctant to show Leo the Bodhidharma’s Touch book.
Leo didn’t notice Dr. Rudolph’s conflicted expression because he was focused on quickly flipping through the ancient book.
Soon, Leo finished browsing and furrowed his brows. He looked up at Dr. Rudolph and asked, “Dr. Rudolph, is this Bodhidharma’s Touch book incomplete?”
Dr. Rudolph nodded and then shook his head. “The last needle indeed only has a name without any details. I don’t know if it counts as incomplete; it was like this when it was passed down to me.”
“I once asked my grandfather about it, and he said it was already like this when he received it.”
Dr. Rudolph’s answer puzzled Leo because the book had both a cover and a back cover with no signs of missing pages.
In terms of binding alone, the book appeared complete.
Dr. Rudolph continued, “Leo, I’ll lend you this book for now so you can study it. Given your talent in traditional medicine, I believe you can master the techniques recorded in this book.”
Dr. Rudolph genuinely hoped Leo would learn it so he could deepen his understanding of Bodhidharma’s Touch through Leo.
Leo didn’t stand on ceremony and nodded. “Thank you very much, Dr. Rudolph.”
Soon after, dinner was served, and Rosemary invited them to eat.
After dinner, Leo used researching Bodhidharma’s Touch as an excuse to leave Rosemary’s house.
Rosemary wanted to ask Leo to stay longer but couldn’t bring herself to say it. In the end, she could only see him out.
In the following days, apart from morning consultations with Shiloh, Leo spent all his time practicing and studying Bodhidharma’s Touch.
As a Cultivator, Leo’s understanding of Bodhidharma’s Touch progressed rapidly.
One afternoon, while Leo was practicing the last needle recorded in Bodhidharma’s Touch in his backyard, Chasel suddenly came in and said someone was looking for him.
To Leo’s surprise, it was members of WONDER’s overseas action team-Knox, Vivian, and their team leader Maximilian-whom he had met in New York.
“Mr. Ramsey, what brings you here?” Leo asked with a smile.
“Can’t we come?” Vivian replied playfully.
Leo quickly invited them in. “It’s an honor to have such distinguished guests; please come in.”
In the reception room, they exchanged warm greetings before getting down to business.
“Mr. Ramsey, did you return home because of something important?” Leo asked.
Maximilian nodded. “We’ve temporarily ended our overseas mission and returned home to deal with a domestic cult organization.”
“You came here specifically to ask me…”
“Yes, we want you to join us in eliminating this cult called Moonstone Sect,” Maximilian said expectantly. “Of course, if you don’t want to go, that’s fine too.”
Leo pondered for a moment before smiling. “Don’t forget, I’m also a member of WONDER. I’ll go with you!”
“See? I told you someone as righteous as Leo would definitely go,” Vivian said with a grin, giving Leo high praise.
