Chapter 264: He Was Easy To Deal With

Bianca’s eyes widened. “Are you saying…”
He nodded. “After acquiring Cherish, I plan to invest heavily in bringing in top designers from around the world. We want to do everything we can to keep Cherish’s prestigious status in the luxury market. Madison will still be the chief designer and general manager. When she wakes up, I’ll hand over Cherish’s management back to her without changing anything. We can make it official with a signed agreement if you’re worried. You can set any conditions you need.”
Bianca was left speechless, overwhelmed by his words.
The Phoenix Alliance Group chose to take on the challenges of Cherish, showing their dedication to protecting the brand. Clearly, they weren’t acquiring it to exploit it but to save it. Once Madison woke up, the plan was to hand Cherish back to her.
How could Cherish be so lucky to receive such unexpected support?
“Are you serious about this? What benefits will this bring to your Phoenix Alliance Group?” Bianca struggled to believe that such a big decision could be based on personal feelings, especially since most businessmen focus on profit.
‘Was this CEO not worried about losing money by acquiring Cherish?’
After looking at the camera again, he turned back to Bianca and replied calmly, “Until your mother Madison wakes up, all of Cherish’s profits and losses will be under the Phoenix Alliance Group. Investing is a risk. I trust my judgment and believe Cherish will succeed.”
Bianca’s doubt turned into admiration as she listened to him. It made sense that he was the CEO of the Phoenix Alliance Group. His courage and vision set him apart.
After their conversation, Bianca felt she had gained a valuable lesson in business-one that was more helpful than any book she had read.
“I understand, Mr. Evans.” Bianca stood up and bowed to him respectfully. “Thank you on behalf of my mother.”
Seeing her gesture, the man stepped forward and gently held her arm. “Please, no need for that. It’s my pleasure to help.”
“Huh?” Bianca looked at him in confusion.
He cleared his throat and regained his serious tone. “What I mean is, you don’t have to be so formal. The Phoenix Alliance Group doesn’t get involved in unprofitable ventures. It’s a mutually beneficial deal, so there’s really no need to thank me.”
Still, Bianca knew that without the Phoenix Alliance Group’s help, Cherish’s future would have been in serious jeopardy.
Contrary to what she had heard, the CEO of the Phoenix Alliance Group didn’t seem cold or ruthless at all. Bianca realized he was easy to deal with.
Smiling at him, she said, “I understand your point of view. There’s no need for a formal agreement. Even though this is our first meeting, I believe in you. I know you’re busy, so I’ll let you get back to work.”
He nodded, pleased.
After Bianca left the reception room, the man let out a sigh of relief and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
Looking at the camera, he wondered if he had handled everything well, hoping his boss wouldn’t be upset.
In the CEO’s office, Dave leaned back and closed his laptop. Justin, standing behind him, widened his eyes.
They had been watching Bianca’s conversation with the man.
“Dave, I have to say, I admire you more each day,” Justin said, giving a thumbs up.
“Cut out the sarcasm,” Dave replied, rolling his eyes.
“I’m serious!” Justin sat down across from him. “You let Wyatt impersonate you, and he didn’t mess it up. But come on, he’s only good at fooling Bianca.”
Justin was referring to Wyatt Cooper, Dave’s chief bodyguard. Wyatt was a tall, intimidating figure and one of Dave’s most trusted allies, easily scaring children with his presence.
Dave narrowed his eyes towards Justin. “If he can’t handle it, can you? Look at you; no one would believe you have any connection to the Phoenix Alliance Group.”
“Sure, I might act a bit mischievous around you. But in public, I’m a powerful businessman,” Justin replied, puffing out his chest proudly as he looked at Dave. “Tell me, which of your guys isn’t intimidated by me?”
Dave shook his head, at a loss for words.
Justin stepped closer, looking at him seriously. “Dave, you’re really going to support Bianca? Spending 5 billion dollars to acquire Cherish and investing even more to save it-do you realize how much that will cost? If you pour all that money into Cherish and it stays in this half-dead state, you’ll lose a significant amount of money! Dave, I see now the lengths a man will go for the woman he loves.”
Dave looked up at Justin with a smirk, but it made Justin feel restless.
“If you have a problem with it, I’ll let you handle the Cherish acquisition and the development plan. If you mess up, you know what will happen.”
Justin felt like he had just been struck by lightning. “No, I don’t have a problem with it.”
With a sly smile, Dave asked, “Are you questioning my decision?”
“I…” Justin realized that Dave’s decisions were absolute. He sighed and said, “No, I’m fine with it.”
“Then it’s decided.” With a relaxed expression, Dave nodded and returned to his work, not looking at Justin.
He had called Justin in to hand over the Cherish acquisition. During the meeting, other senior executives were hesitant about taking on the Cherish project, seeing it as risky and delicate. Dave felt uneasy about giving it to them, so he chose to trust Justin instead.
Even though Justin could be a bit unruly at times, Dave recognized his remarkable skills.
When Phoenix Entertainment was on the verge of collapse under previous management, Dave appointed Justin as general manager despite objections. Justin’s hard work quickly turned Phoenix Entertainment into a leading powerhouse in the industry.
Justin’s valuable contributions alongside Dave on several major projects helped solidify his role in the Group, ultimately leading to his promotion as vice president of the Phoenix Alliance Group.
Justin’s background was far from ideal. Without Dave’s sharp eye for talent and with his strong support, Justin would never have reached the level of success he had today.
To Justin, Dave was not just a mentor; he was like family and a benefactor.
