Leo warned coldly, “If you remove the silver needles from his body without permission, causing paralysis or death, you will bear the consequences!”
Hearing this, Sang Kwon’s extended right hand trembled. He didn’t actually know the exact position of the silver needles, and Leo’s acupuncture techniques were indeed miraculous. He was genuinely afraid of any mishap.
“Now, do you admit defeat?” Leo’s voice wasn’t loud, but it contained Spiritual Power that spread out, clearly reaching every audience member and student present.
The previously bustling gymnasium fell silent again. All eyes were on Sang Kwon and Jay Park, waiting for their response.
Sang Kwon clenched his fists tightly, his face full of resentment and unwillingness. However, after making eye contact with Jay Park, who was lying on the ground, Sang Kwon gritted his teeth and replied, “We admit defeat.”
“Since you admit defeat, you must fulfill the bet, right?” Leo asked again.
“No problem…” Sang Kwon’s face was full of defeat.
Leo walked over to Jay Park, squatted down, and removed the silver needle from his neck. “Are you okay?” he asked.
Having experienced the terror of losing sensation in his body, Jay Park didn’t dare to be stubborn anymore and replied tearfully, “No problem.”
Jay Park knew that crawling out of here on his knees would not only disgrace the entire Korean nation but also his master Seung Kim. However, under the threat of paralysis, he had no choice but to fulfill the bet.
Leo removed the other two silver needles, stood up, and waved the needles in his hand with a smile. “Please,” he said.
Jay Park and Sang Kwon exchanged a bitter glance. Then, both knelt down, using their hands and knees to crawl towards the gymnasium exit.
The gymnasium erupted in cheers again. Many people took out their phones to record this “rare” scene.
The students’ frustration had vanished, replaced by a sense of pride.
Jay Park and Sang Kwon represented Korean Medicine. Their humiliating crawl out of the gym symbolized Korean Medicine’s defeat by traditional Atrarian doctors.
At this moment, it was indeed a time for pride and joy.
After seeing the two Koreans crawl out of the gym with their own eyes, the students’ cheers turned into chants of Leo’s name.
“Leo” echoed throughout the gymnasium.
The famous traditional Atrarian doctors who had previously underestimated Leo now felt respect for him. If it weren’t for Leo, today’s lecture would have turned into an embarrassment for traditional medicine.
After the students’ cheers subsided, Ty Chan spoke at the right moment. “Next, let’s give a warm round of applause to welcome Dr. Leo to give us a lecture on traditional medicine!”
As Ty Chan finished speaking, thunderous applause filled the gymnasium.
Leo hadn’t prepared for a lecture at all, but he couldn’t refuse the enthusiastic invitation. He took the microphone and shared his understanding of traditional medicine and its future.
Due to Leo’s presence and the unexpected intrusion of the two Koreans, this lecture had an unforeseen impact.
The audience and young students not only witnessed the wonders of traditional medicine firsthand but also strengthened their confidence in traditional Atrarian doctors. They also remembered Leo and his Nameless Clinic.
After the lecture ended, many students approached Leo for photos. Several beautiful girls even became Leo’s little fans.
Led by Brennen and Joshua, the Medicine King of South Mountain, famous traditional Atrarian doctors exchanged phone numbers and business cards with Leo.
That evening, what happened at the lecture made headlines on major media outlets and websites. For a while, Leo’s name overshadowed many internet celebrities.
Leo didn’t stay long in the capital and returned directly to Langstel.
Just as Leo was about to visit Sophia at Henley’s Corp, his phone rang. It was Old Sam from the city museum.
“Old Sam, what’s up?”
“Leo, Chloe didn’t come to work today. Do you know why?” Old Sam’s tone was full of concern.
“I don’t know. What’s wrong?”
“I called her several times, but no one answered. I’m worried something might have happened to her. Could you check on her at home? After all, you two…” Old Sam didn’t finish his sentence.
Leo was initially stunned but then felt a pang of worry. Could it be that the fine dust from the dagger was problematic?
Thinking of this possibility, Leo didn’t care about Old Sam’s unfinished words. He hung up and headed to Chloe’s place.
Arriving at her apartment complex, he went upstairs and rang the doorbell. There was no response.
Leo took out his phone and called Chloe’s number. No one answered.
He rang the doorbell again. If there was still no response this time, he planned to use his own methods to open the door.
Fortunately, after the doorbell rang again, he heard faint sounds of slippers shuffling inside.
Leo breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed Chloe was home, but why wasn’t she answering her phone?
The door opened. Just as Leo was about to ask Chloe why she wasn’t answering her phone, he saw a woman with a ghastly pale face standing in front of him with disheveled hair.
Her eyes were dark circles without visible pupils, resembling a skeleton.
Leo stepped back in fright, looking as if he’d seen a ghost.
The pale-faced woman was also startled and stepped back, nearly falling over.
“What are you doing! Scaring me like that!” Chloe complained.
Only then did Leo realize it was Chloe wearing a face mask.
He walked inside and asked in confusion, “Why are you wearing a face mask in broad daylight?”
“What do you know!” Chloe rolled her eyes at him. “My face got injured! That stuff is so corrosive; there might still be some residue on my face!”
“In this situation, I naturally need to use a face mask to take care of my skin.”
Leo knew how much Chloe cared about her appearance.
Entering the living room, it was as messy as it had been during his last visit. This time, Chloe didn’t bother making excuses in front of Leo; she just acted like she didn’t care about being untidy.
Leo noticed that the eye drops were still on the table, unopened. “You haven’t used the eye drops?” he asked.
Chloe mumbled something unintelligible.
“Why not?”
“I hate using eye drops!” Chloe whined like a child reluctant to get a shot at the hospital.
“You have to use them even if you hate them! Didn’t you hear what the doctor said? Your cornea is damaged; if you don’t use eye drops, you’ll go blind,” Leo warned her.
“I’ve already got scars!” Chloe muttered while looking down at her toes.
“What’s more important: your face or your eyes?”
