Chapter 108: Mr. Atkinson’s Grand Display!

Book:Back To Thrones Published:2024-9-19

The deafening sound of horns filled the air as clouds of dust suddenly billowed up on both sides of the main road. At first, the dust was as sparse as smoke, but as the blaring horns drew closer, it grew increasingly thick.
Finally, just as the dust was about to engulf everything, rows of cars suddenly emerged from both sides of the highway. These vehicles blocked the path, lining up across the road – five cars wide at the front, completely sealing off the thoroughfare.
Leading the pack were Bentleys, Land Rovers, Mercedes, BMWs, and a Porsche, followed by various passenger vans. There were about a hundred vehicles on each side, totaling at least two hundred.
Looking down the middle, it was as if two armies of ants were encircling their prey.
The continuous honking created an overwhelming atmosphere.
Kayden instinctively turned to observe this impressive display, his brow furrowing involuntarily. He wondered which fool had come to cause trouble this time.
His expression remained impassive, not betraying even a hint of nervousness.
Soon, numerous people began to exit the vehicles. Each one wore a black suit and carried a weapon. These ranged from axes and steel pipes to knives, and of course, concealed firearms.
When everyone had disembarked, it was a sea of black, with too many people to count – at least two hundred. They converged towards the center, their sheer presence alone making it hard to breathe.
Those who advanced first surrounded Kayden in a circle – no, make that several layers deep!
Their formation wasn’t chaotic but orderly, arranged in neat rows. The imposing sight alone was enough to terrify anyone. They glared at Kayden with murderous intent in their eyes.
Suddenly, a man wearing sunglasses shouted, “Welcome, Mr. Atkinson!”
“Mr. Atkinson! Mr. Atkinson! Mr. Atkinson!” The crowd erupted in a thunderous chant.
Amidst the clamor, a golden Bentley slowly approached, coming to a stop at the front. A man in black opened the rear door, and a pair of black leather shoes stepped out, followed by a man in black jeans and a black T-shirt adorned with a skull design.
After exiting the car, the man remained expressionless. He had a black cigar clenched between his teeth, exuding an air of superiority. His stern face bore some scars, which, although faded, still left visible traces.
This was none other than Inassea’s number one young master, Nathan Atkinson! In Inassea, only he could command such a grand display.
After getting out, he raised his hand in a gesture to stop, and the chanting crowd gradually fell silent. He lowered his cigar and exhaled a thick cloud of smoke.
He gazed at Kayden, trapped in the middle, with a playful, victorious expression.
At this moment, Kayden was like a wild beast caged, surrounded by over two hundred people. Even with wings, he couldn’t escape.
Yet, Kayden’s face showed not a trace of fear. He seemed accustomed to such situations. In the past, when so many people surrounded him, it was they who trembled in fear. Now, they should still be the ones afraid.
Even with just a third of his former strength, dealing with these pushovers would be child’s play for Kayden.
“Mr. Atkinson! I’ve brought the man to you as requested,” a greasy-looking middle-aged man approached Nathan, grinning as he sought approval. This was none other than the driver who had been bought off from the moment he picked up Kayden.
After deciding to seek revenge, Nathan had sent people to secretly follow Kayden, learning of his plans to come here. He had made preparations well in advance, resulting in the current situation. “Excellent work! Not only is your debt forgiven, but from now on, you can walk tall in Inassea. You’ve done me a great service!” Nathan praised the driver.
The driver’s face lit up with an expression of unexpected honor as he said, “It’s my privilege to serve you, Mr. Atkinson!”
He smiled slyly and turned to Kayden, saying, “Young man, you were quite arrogant earlier! You looked so aloof in the car. I never imagined a nobody like you would dare to offend Mr. Atkinson. You’ve got some nerve. Just wait and see how Mr. Atkinson deals with you, you little bastard. You’re as good as dead!”
“Slap!” As soon as he finished speaking, Nathan struck him hard across the face.
This slap left him stunned. He stared at Nathan, bewildered. “Mr. Atkinson, what did I do wrong?”
“Slap!” Another blow landed on his other cheek. After these two slaps, blood began to trickle from the driver’s nose and the corner of his mouth.
He looked at Nathan in confusion, tears welling up in his eyes. As he was about to speak again, Nathan pointed at him and warned fiercely, “You dare to speak before I do, thinking that just because you helped me, you can now give orders in my presence? You think you can speak for me? You’re way out of your league! Take him away and beat him until he can’t utter another word!”
As soon as Nathan finished speaking, several men dragged the driver out of the crowd. He had greatly overestimated his importance, believing that by helping Nathan with this task, Nathan would be grateful and hold him in high regard.
Soon, agonized screams could be heard from behind the crowd.
Nathan straightened his outfit and then pointed at Kayden, declaring with an imposing air, “Boy, you’ve got some nerve. You offended me and still dare to show your face in Inassea. But no matter where you go, from the moment you crossed me, you were already a dead man. Understand?”
Without even glancing at the people around him, Kayden coldly retorted, “Since Fletcher can’t even control his own family, I guess I’ll have to do it for him!”
These words hit Nathan like a sledgehammer to the heart.
So arrogant! Even in this situation, this man dared to be so brazen. That was outrageous!
Nathan’s own arrogance was well-known throughout Inassea, but today he had encountered someone even more audacious than himself! Under the pressure of two thousand people, this man could still utter such words!
Incredible!
It was absolutely incredible! This guy had completely shattered Nathan’s worldview!
He clicked his tongue and gave Kayden a thumbs up, saying, “Impressive!”
Kayden ignored him, only instinctively scanning the crowd around him before speaking in a cold, intimidating voice, “Those who don’t want to die, get out of here now. You have one minute to leave. After that, if you’re still here, this place will become a bloodbath!”
