Chapter 106: Mr. Atkinson Goes Viral!

Book:Back To Thrones Published:2024-9-18

Country bumpkin!
Fletcher’s nephew dared to call the Defender of the South a country bumpkin!
This was nothing short of an insult! On the battlefield, Nathan would have been a corpse long ago!
The Defender of the South, a figure of such glory and stature! Fighting battles, commanding the soldiers, slaughtering thousands of troops! And now, the Defender of the South was called a country bumpkin by his own nephew!
“Outrageous!” Fletcher roared. With a swift motion, he brought his hand down hard on a nearby table. Instantly, the table shattered into pieces, and his entire being seemed to explode with rage, veins bulging on his forehead.
This action terrified Eliot and his wife, who took a nervous step back, their mouths agape.
He raised his hand, pointing at Nathan, and said through gritted teeth, “Nathan! I’m warning you one last time. If words like these ever leave your mouth again, I won’t hesitate to turn you into a corpse! Do you know that today, if it weren’t for my reputation, that person would have killed you already? Do you really think the Atkinson family is so powerful? That’s because you don’t understand the outside world. Let me tell you, right now, your head is only temporarily attached to your neck. If you offend that person again, I’ll personally end you!”
At this point, his gaze swept over Eliot and his wife, and he angrily added, “Don’t accuse me of being cruel to my own family when that time comes.”
Nathan didn’t understand why his second uncle was so furious. Could that guy really be so powerful? But he did follow his second uncle’s words. Fletcher probably just didn’t want to cause trouble.
As Nathan was thinking this, Eliot said with a smile, “Fletcher, aren’t you exaggerating a bit? Who in the Southwest region has the right to offend you?”
“The right?” Fletcher glared at Eliot and said, “There are plenty of people with that right. Don’t think you can act like tyrants in the Southwest! In short, this person is not someone the Atkinson family can afford to offend. With just one word from him, the Atkinson family could be destroyed within a minute! Don’t see the world with your shortsighted perspective.”
“Huh!” Eliot chuckled and said, “I understand!”
“From today on, Nathan, don’t go out causing trouble anymore. You two, keep a close eye on him. And if you ever go looking for Sariah again, I’ll break your legs!” Fletcher didn’t sound like he was joking at all, but rather issuing a final ultimatum!
Eliot and his wife nodded repeatedly, saying, “Yes, yes, we understand!”
“Hurry up and promise!” Eliot stepped forward and gave Nathan a symbolic slap on the head.
Nathan responded, “I understand, Uncle Fletcher!”
Fletcher waved his hand in a dismissive gesture, and the group slunk away.
The reason he hadn’t revealed Kayden’s identity to subdue Nathan was simply because he didn’t know why Kayden had come here or whether he needed to keep his identity secret. Until Kayden made his identity public or instructed him to reveal it, Fletcher wouldn’t disclose it.
However, Fletcher’s words had been clear enough. He believed Nathan wouldn’t be foolish enough to provoke Kayden again.
As Eliot’s family slowly walked out of the hall, Eliot, walking in front, shook his head and sighed, as if he had something to say but remained silent.
Soon, they arrived at an exquisite two-story villa. Eliot sat down in a chair, still shaking his head from time to time.
Nathan couldn’t help but ask, “Dad, do you believe that person is really as formidable as Uncle Fletcher says?”
Eliot let out a contemptuous laugh and asked in return, “What do you think?”
Nathan rolled his eyes and answered with a hint of doubt, “I don’t think so. That person is about my age! How could someone my age be compared to Uncle Fletcher?”
“Then what should I do now?” Nathan asked his father, looking helpless.
Eliot sighed and answered, “What else can we do? Do as Fletcher said.”
“Oh no! Something terrible has happened!” Eliot’s wife suddenly exclaimed, interrupting the father-son conversation.
Her cry seemed tinged with tears, causing the two conversing men to fall silent immediately.
They both looked at her in confusion. Eliot’s face darkened as he questioned, “What terrible thing? My son and I are discussing important matters. Don’t make a fuss over nothing!”
She walked up to them with her phone. “Look at this, it’s not a small matter!”
The two furrowed their brows in confusion, turning their gaze to the phone screen.
The headline news prominently displayed a message: Today, a shocking scene unfolded at Inassea’s Sky Rotating Restaurant, as the Atkinson family’s young master apparently performed a “human cannonball” act!
Following was a video clip, showing Nathan flying out from the second floor.
Even more shocking was the flood of mockery in the comments section, all seeming to ridicule Nathan.
“Oh my god! Isn’t that the Atkinson family’s young master Nathan? This guy finally got what he deserved! This, this is too intense!”
“Atkinson family’s young master performs aerial acrobatics. It’s so thrilling. Too bad the video didn’t capture who pushed Nathan! But I have to say, young hero, I’m thoroughly impressed!”
“This is truly a hero who eliminates evil for the people! Scum like Nathan who bully the innocent should have been taught a lesson long ago.”
“The arrogant will be punished. It’s not that there’s no retribution, it’s just not the right time yet! Ahaha, this is so satisfying!”
“I now realize that the Atkinson family is a joke. The top family? What a laughingstock! Everyone, let me laugh first, ahahaha.”
A string of comments, without exception, all mocking Nathan.
Among these commenters, some resented the rich due to their own poverty, while others genuinely disapproved of Nathan’s behavior. In any case, in Inassea, Nathan’s reputation was already notorious.
At this point, on many other online platforms, the incident of the Atkinson family’s young master being thrown from a high building had become a trending topic. Many unscrupulous editors were fanning the flames of hatred, adding fuel to the fire.
Of course, all of this was inextricably linked to Nathan’s parents’ overindulgence.
Eliot and his wife only had Nathan as their son, so they had spoiled him excessively from childhood. If it weren’t for Fletcher’s return in recent years, Nathan might have already become an unstoppable tyrant in Inassea.
“Th-th-this…” Eliot stared at the phone, seething with rage. He violently hurled it to the ground, instantly shattering it into pieces.
“Why did you smash my phone?” Eliot’s wife looked at her phone with a pained expression.
“This is utterly absurd!” Eliot exploded, reaching the peak of his anger.
Nathan’s face also flushed red with fury. His eyes bloodshot, he said, “Dad, let me go settle the score with him! I’ll go deal with him right now. My dignity doesn’t matter, but this incident has seriously damaged the Atkinson family’s reputation. As the most prominent family in the Southwest, if we remain silent at a time like this, how will others view our family?”
