Her voice was stern, which countered the smile on her face. “You will regret this.”
The blonde smirked incredulously, “I have the influence to destroy you, so your threats are nothing.”
Ivy’s deadly smile never faltered; she continued gazing at him until he left stoutly. She pushed herself to stand and returned to their reserved table as if nothing happened.
“What took you so long?” Zack said, dabbing his mouth with a napkin; his eyes were keenly waiting for her reply.
“Sorry, I took so long.”
“That’s not an answer,” Zack snapped.
Ivy furrowed her brow, then she chuckled. “Okay… if you must know, my monthly…” She paused to study the expression on his face, but unexpectedly, it was blank.
“Do you really want to hear it all?” Her eyes narrowed in disbelief.
“Yes,” he gave a short reply, and Ivy just stuffed her mouth with her food. She obviously wasn’t ready to complete the answer he was waiting for.
Zack didn’t inquire further and resumed his meal. “When will filming conclude?”
“I’m in the next two months from now,” she responded nonchalantly, cutting through the fleshy meat. Then she thought about the name ‘Black’ for a while before asking, “Zack, who are the Blacks?”
Zack didn’t reply immediately; his face was scrunched up, and Ivy could guess it was because of the name she mentioned.
“Annoying flies.”
Ivy’s lips curled; annoying flies aren’t hard to deal with. What even got her amused was the coincidence of meeting Anna’s ex-fiance at the restroom. If he hadn’t behaved like a hoodlum, maybe he would have been saved from her wrath, but instead, he insulted her, and she wasn’t ready to let him off.
“Hubby, would you mind telling Bryan to pick us up from the restaurant?” She vividly remembered the man named Bryan because he was the first person she met when she woke up at the villa after her heartbreak.
“Is there a problem?”
She shook her head. Hopefully, he didn’t argue; he immediately texted Bryan.
While she, on the other hand, texted Edmond.
*Edmond, there is a member of the Blacks here in the restaurant, I want you to follow him when he leaves and make sure to secure any secrets he has and send them over to me. Don’t worry; someone else will chauffeur us home.*
“Okay, ma’am,” he replied without wasting time.
“Is there something you are up to?” Zack caught her texting on her phone.
She put her phone away. “There are a lot of things I am up to right now,” she admitted; her dimples were prominent on her cheek. Zack couldn’t deny her attractiveness for as much as he wanted to; the dimple added another layer to her beauty. But what was infuriating him was the existence of an impostor roaming about with his wife’s beautiful face.
A few minutes later, they left the restaurant. Zack ordered Bryan to drop her off at the hotel.
“Thanks for the wonderful dinner, hubby.” Her gratitude made an obscure smile on Zack’s face, he quickly averted his eyes away from her.
Ivy chuckled, ‘he doesn’t like compliments,’ unknowingly to her, he was blushing inside; she just couldn’t see it.
After she left, Zack peeped at his splendid wristwatch and then turned to watch his wifey entering the hotel.
“Sir, is there something you want me to do?” Bryan had been with him for many years; he won second place when it comes to understanding Zack Anderson. He knew he wants something, the expression on his face was reflected through the front view mirror.
“Find out who among the Blacks dined at Lai xiang shou restaurant.” With Ivy suddenly picking an interest in them, it made him sense something was wrong.
“Okay, sir,” Bryan nodded, and they drove out from the hotel premises.

Ivy returned to her room by the time it was already midnight, so she slumped on her bed without changing into her nightwear, she was just too exhausted.
At 7 am the next morning, her phone’s chime woke her up.
*Susan*
She stretched tiredly; the seven hours’ rest wasn’t sufficient to relieve her body from the busy day.
“Hello, Susan…”
“Thank God, I thought you’ve gone missing.” Her boisterous voice made Ivy place the phone away from her ears. She totally forgot to inform Susan she went out for dinner last night. “I’m currently in my room.”
“I’m coming over.”
Ivy sluggishly got up from bed and strolled to the bathroom.
In less than fifteen minutes, Susan arrived.
“I was worried sick.” Obviously, worry was written all over her face.
Ivy, seeing this, snorted. “I went out for dinner with hubby.”
Susan’s mouth formed an ‘O,’ then she sat down with all smiles. “It was romantic, wasn’t it?”
Ivy playfully frowned.
“Okay, okay, sorry.” Susan’s phone dinged. “Morning news.” She said, scrolling through her phone. Her forehead wrinkled when she saw the content of the most recent news. “What the heck.”
“What is it?” Ivy knew that whatever the content was, it wasn’t good. “Is it my new scandal, isn’t it?” She had gotten used to seeing her name sticking out at the top of the entertainment news; it wouldn’t be too surprising for her to be involved in a new scandal.
“No, it’s not about you. Look.” She showed it to her.
A smirk appeared on her face.
“Why are you smiling? This will affect today’s filming.” Susan looked at her incredulously; how would she be smiling over something as serious as that.
At that moment, Ivy’s phone dinged.
*Here’s the errand you sent me.*
This made her smile widen even more. Now Susan was confused. “Is there something you aren’t telling me?”
“Let me get dressed.” Ivy excused herself and changed to a blue top and jeans to match.
“Let’s go.”
“But your filming is scheduled at noon,” Susan informed her, but she shrugged. “I have something very important to deal with.”
Susan tugged at the strand of her hair, “spill it…”
Ivy shook her head in disapproval. “There’s no time; let’s get going.”
