They were indeed a feuding couple! They would bicker each time they had a disagreement.
Rosiley sighed softly, then stepped up and whispered in Ying Xiaoxiao’s ear. “Xiaoxiao, I brought Corey here to help you. If you make him go, no one will be left to help.”
Ying Xiaoxiao stared at Corey and bit her lip. Then, she said reluctantly, “Alright.”
At that moment, a warm, genial voice rang out.
“Xiaoxiao, are these your friends?”
Hearing the voice, Rosiley turned her head and looked. A young face came into her view.
Rosiley was quite amazed. Didn’t Xiaoxiao say her blind date was scary? She had imagined that he was hideous, yet he had unexpectedly turned out to be quite good-looking.
He had a distinct profile with long, narrow eyes. His irises were as dark as ink, so deep that you could not see the bottom.
When she heard the voice from behind, a flicker of impatience appeared on Ying Xiaoxiao’s small, pretty face. She totally ignored the man and pulled Rosiley into the room.
When she passed by him, Rosiley could see the helplessness on his face.
Rosiley could not help but give him another glance.
Things were not as simple as she had imagined.
Rosiley sat down, and Ying Xiaoxiao immediately put the menu before her. “You can order whatever you’d like to eat.”
“Don’t bother.” Rosiley put away the menu with a smile. Then, she looked at the man who had just sat down opposite her. She gave him an apologetic smile. “Sorry to have disturbed you.”
The man smiled faintly. “It’s okay, I don’t mind.”
Then, he lifted the teapot on the table and poured Xiaoxiao some tea. Instantly, the scent of jasmine pervaded the room.
Rosiley raised her eyebrows slightly. “Jasmine tea.”
The man smiled slightly. “Yes, Xiaoxiao has loved jasmine tea since she was a girl.”
The man’s eyes fell on Xiaoxiao, with a hint of tender affection in his eyes. But Xiaoxiao did not care for it. She snorted heavily. “Sorry, I only like Coke now!”
Xiaoxiao’s attitude towards him was rude, but the man did not mind at all. He only smiled. “Too much Coke is bad for your body.”
“That’s none of your business!”
Xiaoxiao shot him a cold stare.
The man smiled and said no more.
Rosiley raised her eyebrows. This man must either be angelically sweet-tempered, or too in love with Xiaoxiao.
But from the look of things, it might be both.
When she remembered that Xiaoxiao had asked her to ruin this blind date and make this man give up, Rosiley, rather strangely, could not find the heart to do so.
After all, he seemed like a nice person.
Corey secretly eyed the man, his slender brows knitting slightly. He felt like he had seen this man before, but he could not quite place him.
The man poured a cup of tea for Rosiley, who thanked him and asked, “Could you tell me your surname?”
“Steven. My name’s Steven Song.” The man smiled gently.
He made Rosiley feel as comfortable as a spring breeze.
“Hello, Mr. Song. I am Xiaoxiao’s bosom friend, Rosiley. You can call me Xiao or Rosiley.”
After Rosiley had introduced herself, she pointed at Corey and said, “This is Corey. Um, he’s… ”
She hesitated a moment, then gritted her teeth and said, “He’s Xiaoxiao’s boyfriend.”
As soon as she finished speaking, she could clearly see the smile on Steven Song’s face freeze.
Rosiley could not help but feel apologetic from the depths of her heart.
She turned around, looking at Ying Xiaoxiao with displeasure.
Xiaoxiao raised her eyebrows and walked over to Corey, sitting down beside him. She leaned herself intimately on him and embraced his neck, putting her face next to his temple. Then, she said with a charming smile, “This is my boyfriend, the man I love the most.”
When she suddenly hugged him, Corey felt his heart beat erratically a few times, but it quickly returned to normal.
But when he heard Ying Xiaoxiao’s words, the corner of his eye twitched a few times.
This woman did not sound guilty at all telling a lie!
And she claimed he was the man she most loved!
More probably the man she most hated!!!
