But the person she cared about didn’t believe her, so what was the point if others did?
“Sometimes I really admire Rosalind. She can tightly hold Ulric’s heart, while I can only help him in his career.”
“He will eventually see your worth. Besides, with Ulric’s mother on your side, what are you afraid of? Given Rosalind’s status, she can never enter the Walters family or be recognized by them!”
Sirena remained silent, but she understood better than Johnny that the only way to restrain Ulric now was to win over his mother!
Ulric couldn’t possibly disregard his mother and insist on being with Rosalind, could he?

After leaving Sirena’s office, Rosalind went directly to the paternity testing center Tilda had recommended.
Normally, such unauthorized operations were not allowed, but fortunately, Tilda had spoken on her behalf.
After taking care of everything, Rosalind received a call from Ulric on her way back to the company.
She thought Ulric would stay at the hospital with Sirena.
“Where are you?”
“I’m at the company.”
“Rosalind, I’m in your office.”
Rosalind coughed lightly, “Ah, I was hungry just now and went out to get something to eat. I’ll be back soon.”
The call ended abruptly, and he seemed displeased.
Of course.
Earlier in Sirena’s office, seeing her in that state must have made Ulric feel distressed! After all, she was his cherished one.
Bracing herself for a scolding, Rosalind returned to her office. As soon as she opened the door, she saw Ulric sitting on the sofa waiting for her.
He leaned there, his handsome face sharp and stern, his dark eyes fixed intensely on Rosalind.
“Why did you go to see Sirena without permission?”
“Because I had some questions for her.” Rosalind wasn’t feeling guilty, at most, she hadn’t meant to push Sirena! But if Sirena hadn’t made the first move, she wouldn’t have pushed her.
Ulric frowned, “In times like these, you should be more considerate of your actions.”
If Sirena had called the police earlier, Rosalind would have been taken to the station for questioning!
There were no cameras in Sirena’s office. With all that blood, Sirena could say whatever she wanted. If it was ruled as minor injury, Rosalind would have to spend some time in custody!
“I forgot she had just had surgery, and besides, she made the first move.”
“You shouldn’t have gone.”
“Mr. Walters, you think I shouldn’t do this or that. In the end, if I can’t present my evidence, who will believe me?” Rosalind didn’t want to discuss this alone with Ulric to avoid accusations of bribery or seduction. But since Ulric kept defending Sirena, she had to argue for herself.
Ulric looked at her and stood up abruptly, walking step by step toward Rosalind.
After a long pause, his thin lips moved.
“Rosalind, you and I are married.”
“…”
“There is only a superior-subordinate relationship between Sirena and me.”
Perhaps it was his overwhelming presence or the shock of his words that left Rosalind speechless and her mind blank.
“I promised you that I would handle this matter fairly. Give me some time, okay?”
She blinked, still processing their conversation when Ulric’s thin lips pressed down on hers.
As if deliberately punishing Rosalind, his kiss was intense…
