Chapter 1313: Challenge of Crazy Steer

At this moment, it was Chris Shelby’s turn to be shocked. He had not expected Her Majesty the Queen to bestow Dragon and the others with the title of Viscounts. Chris Shelby let out a wry smile shortly after. The Queen was indeed cunning. Seeing that her tactics had no effect on him, she targeted his subordinates instead. Not everyone was like Chris Shelby. Although he did not hold the Queen in high regard, for Dragon and the others, the Queen was the sovereign of Oxwoods, and they could not afford to show any negligence. Now that the Queen had knighted them, they were too delighted to refuse. After all, a title in Oxwoods carried significant value and was not something just anyone could possess.
Dragon sneered, “Just a viscount’s title has you so excited. With the boss’s capabilities, even a duke’s title wouldn’t be too much!” Hearing this, everyone nodded in agreement, except for Chris Shelby, who rolled his eyes. What nonsense about a duke’s title-that was something only the direct bloodline of the Oxwoods royal family could hold. Chris Shelby, merely a person from Amerosia, how could he possibly be granted a duke’s title? And even if the Queen wanted to bestow it, Chris Shelby would not accept it. How could Chris Shelby, the Primus of Amerosia, accept a title from the Oxwoods royal family? It would be a joke to say the least!
At that moment, the Queen, clad in her royal robe, approached. “Death, I have arranged a private plane to take you back to Amerosia,” she said. Medusa, with a look of reluctance, said to Chris Shelby, “Big brother, I will come to Amerosia to visit you.” Medusa had grown somewhat dependent on Chris Shelby during their brief time together. Chris Shelby smiled and replied, “Sure! Let me know when you’re coming, and I’ll pick you up.”
Then, Chris Shelby turned to Dragon and the others, “Since that’s settled, we’ll leave first. You follow with the Death Guards.” “Yes, sir!” they responded, without any delay. Soon, Chris Shelby and Esther boarded the Queen’s private plane, which was typically used for her visits to other countries and was thus luxuriously equipped. Chris Shelby sat back in his seat, closed his eyes to rest, and recalled the events in Oxwoods. This trip, Chris Shelby had swept through Knights’ Liberty. Many must know now that Death has returned. He wondered if his old friends missed him. At that thought, a mysterious smile appeared on Chris Shelby’s lips.
Turning his head, Chris noticed Esther had fallen asleep in her chair. Seeing this, he chose not to disturb her. After several hours of flight, Chris Shelby and Esther finally returned to the East Coast. Upon disembarking, Esther called Juliette. As Chris Shelby and Esther exited the airport, Juliette and others were already waiting for them. “Brother! Esther!” Juliette exclaimed joyfully. Harold Jefferson and others greeted respectfully, “Mr. Shelby! Mrs. Shelby!” Chris Shelby laughed heartily, “Juliette, I didn’t expect you to come greet me personally.” Juliette rolled her eyes, “Brother, don’t flatter yourself. We came for Esther.” Chris Shelby just chuckled, not taking offense.
Juliette, concerned, asked Esther, “I heard you were kidnapped in Oxwoods, are you alright?” Being a princess of Amerosia, Juliette naturally knew about Esther’s kidnapping. Esther shook her head, “I’m fine, thanks to Chris Shelby coming to rescue me.”
Juliette turned her head to look at Chris Shelby, smiling and said, “Brother, you’re truly impressive! I’ve heard about what you did in Oxwoods. You dared to lead three thousand people and swept through the entire Knights’ Liberty-it’s become a worldwide sensation.”
Chris Shelby responded indifferently, “Knights’ Liberty is nothing, just a trifle! If they really provoke me, I could wipe out the whole of Knights’ Liberty!”
Juliette rolled her eyes and remained silent, knowing full well that Chris Shelby was indeed capable of doing such a thing.
After leaving the airport, everyone returned to Cloud Bay.
Due to the long flight, Chris Shelby and Esther went to rest in their room.
Esther slept until the next afternoon.
She woke up feeling exceptionally comfortable.
A smile appeared on Esther’s face, feeling that there was nothing like the comfort of home.
After getting up, Esther headed to the bathroom to take a shower.
Just then, Chris Shelby pushed open the bathroom door and walked in.
“My dear, you…” he began.
Surprised, Esther’s face showed her astonishment.
Chris Shelby chuckled and said, “Dear, let’s shower together!”
“Ah!” Esther’s face instantly blushed.
She knew exactly what Chris Shelby intended.
Though they were an old married couple, such moments always made Esther particularly shy.
After the shower, Chris Shelby felt refreshed.
Suddenly, his phone rang.
Picking it up, he saw it was a call from Bull.
“What’s up?” he asked.
“Mr. Shelby, there’s trouble at the East Coast Security Company; you need to come quickly,” replied the voice urgently.
Curious, Chris Shelby asked, “What could possibly happen with the East Coast Security Company?”
Harold Jefferson, on the other end, sounded frantic, “Crazy Steer has thrown down the gauntlet at our East Coast Security Company, challenging our dominance!”
“Alright, I’ll be there right away.”
After hanging up, Chris Shelby’s expression was grave.
He had been too busy to deal with Crazy Steer before.
Unexpectedly, Crazy Steer was foolish enough to challenge the supremacy of the East Coast Security Company-a death wish!
“Esther, I need to step out!” Chris Shelby told Esther.
Curiously, Esther asked, “Dear, what are you going to do?”
“Nothing much, I’ll tell you when I get back.”
Chris Shelby didn’t explain much to Esther; after all, it was better she stayed out of such matters.
“Okay, just be careful!” replied Esther, not probing further.
She knew that no matter what Chris Shelby did, he always had a handle on things.
“I will!”
Without any further ado, Chris Shelby drove away from Cloud Bay.
About twenty minutes later, he arrived at the headquarters of the East Coast Security Company.
Seeing him, Bull asked curiously, “Mr. Shelby, where have you been these past few days? We couldn’t find you.”
Chris Shelby replied coolly, “I went to Oxwoods. Now, tell me, what exactly happened?”
Listening, Bull recounted the events of the past few days.
It turned out that during Chris Shelby’s absence from the East Coast, the underground forces in the entire region had undergone a dramatic transformation.
Apart from the East Coast Security Company, nearly all of the East Coast underworld gangs had been annihilated by Crazy Steer.
Now, with unprecedented strength, Crazy Steer had issued a challenge to the East Coast Security Company, formally vying for the title of underground supremo.
