“I am asking you a question.”
“Yes, I haven’t sent it to anyone else! The core technology diagram of this project can only be accessed by Mr. Chan and me, as the project manager.”
“I understand.”
Ulric frowned and coldly threw out these words, then took his phone and went to the bedroom.
Behind him, Rosalind watched his figure, her lips moving slightly.
It was impossible to rely on Ulric to uphold justice in this matter, she had to handle it herself.
She sat back at her computer, continuously searching for ways to recover deleted messages, but every method she tried turned out to be a scam!
Rosalind called the service provider again, but their response was that it was impossible to recover the messages.
Could her career and all her previous efforts be so easily destroyed by Sirena?!
Suddenly.
The phone beside her lit up.
It was a WeChat message from Malcolm.
But Rosalind had no mind to read it. She got up and started packing her luggage, preparing to return to the company overnight to confront Sirena! This matter concerned her reputation and future, she couldn’t just let it go.
When Ulric came out, he saw Rosalind packing her luggage.
“Do you have evidence that Sirena asked you for the technical diagram?”
“No.”
Upon hearing this, his thick eyebrows furrowed deeply. He stepped forward and grabbed her wrist, “Leave this matter to me.”
“No need, I can handle it myself!” Rosalind pulled her hand out of his grasp, “There must be a way to prove I didn’t do it!”
“Rosalind, I said, leave this matter to me.”
She stopped what she was doing and looked at him, “And then what? Should I just wait for the company to fire me and carry this stain for the rest of my life?”
“If you didn’t do it, no one can falsely accuse you.”
“That’s easy to say, but the truth is that Sirena deliberately asked me for the technical diagram and then erased the evidence to frame me. If the truth comes out, W Group would lose its chief lawyer. Are you willing to let that happen?”
Are you willing to give up the benefits Sirena brings to the company, willing to destroy Sirena’s future, willing to let go of your beloved?
This seemed like a company struggle, but in reality, Sirena dared to push things to the forefront because she was betting that Ulric wouldn’t be willing to sacrifice her! A chief lawyer versus a small assistant, there’s no hesitation in choosing.
One second, two seconds, time ticked by.
Ulric said nothing.
Rosalind didn’t really expect an answer, she knew all along that clearing her name depended on herself.
Once she finished packing, she picked up her luggage and was about to leave.
Ulric took a few steps forward and blocked the doorway. His slightly hoarse voice carried a hint of helplessness, “Give me some time, this is… complicated.”
Audrey was currently in the country, with Sirena by her side. If she found out about this incident, his mother would undoubtedly demand that he unconditionally support Sirena, possibly even insisting he fire Rosalind immediately. Considering that Audrey had previously attempted suicide just because he refused an arranged marriage, if he went against her wishes now, the consequences would be unimaginable.
So, if he wanted to help Rosalind, he couldn’t intervene directly.
“Mr. Walters, I know you’re in a difficult position and I appreciate you talking to me and giving me a chance to explain. But I also know that I need to find the evidence myself. I just hope that when the truth comes out, Mr. Walters will treat me fairly.”
“Can you trust me once?”
Trust him to handle this matter.
But clearly, the answer was written in Rosalind’s eyes.
