Chapter 116: Sirena is Truly Smart

“It was Lawyer Reynolds who asked for it, and she said it was urgent, so I didn’t think much about it.”
“Even if Mr. Walters asked you, you still need to follow the application process!” Cedric tried to calm himself down, but this matter was unsolvable! Leaking the core diagram required an explanation to Huayi Enterprises! “And you haven’t had much interaction with Lawyer Reynolds. If you tell others she framed you, there must be a reason.”
Even if Cedric was willing to believe her, the public needed evidence, not just her side of the story.
“…” Rosalind opened her mouth but said nothing.
She couldn’t possibly tell others that the reason Sirena disliked and targeted her was because she was now Ulric’s lover!
“Speak up. At this point, there’s no need to hide anything! If you want me to help you come up with a plan, you need to tell me everything! Do you have any conflicts with Lawyer Reynolds?”
“… I don’t know.”
Cedric frowned and stood up from his chair in frustration. “Then there’s nothing I can do. You’ll have to see how the company decides to deal with you.”
He gave Rosalind a look of disappointment and started to leave but paused at the door.
“Let me tell you, once this stain is confirmed, forget about whether you’ll face jail time, just in the industry alone, you’re already done for. Don’t even think about any future!”
Rosalind knew these consequences all too well.
She lowered her head and thought for a few seconds before looking at him. “Cedric, do you believe that Sirena framed me?”
“My belief alone isn’t enough!” Cedric replied instinctively, raising an eyebrow. “Why don’t you go find Mr. Walters? Aren’t you classmates…”
“But Lawyer Reynolds is his beloved.”
“…” Cedric knew this as well.
“I’ll think of something myself, see if I can recover my text message records with Lawyer Reynolds.” Rosalind bowed to him. “And thank you for believing in me.”
Although he hadn’t come up with any solutions, she was still very grateful.
After taking a few deep breaths in the car back to the hotel, Rosalind answered Mr. Chan’s call.
On the other end, he was already furious, spewing a string of expletives as soon as he spoke.
“Are you tired of living? If you want to die, don’t drag me down with you!”
“I’m sorry, Mr. Chan… Give me some time, and I will definitely find evidence that Sirena framed me!”
“Give you time? Who gives me time! Besides, Sirena is W Group’s chief lawyer, would she frame a little assistant like you?!”
Who would believe that!
Rosalind frowned, knowing Mr. Chan probably thought she was making excuses.
“I was wondering how your mother suddenly had money for surgery! Turns out you sold the core technology diagram to another company!”
“I didn’t!” she immediately retorted. “I didn’t sell any information!”
“Then tell me, where did the money for your mother’s surgery come from? Tilda even called me asking if she could borrow some money, and I refused. Later, when I asked her, she said you’d already solved the medical expense issue. I found it strange how you managed to gather the money so quickly!”
Mr. Chan’s suspicions were well-founded and perfectly aligned with the events.
Hearing this, Rosalind realized this angle.
Sirena is truly smart.
She must have known about the agreement between Rosalind and Ulric, which prohibited disclosing their contractual relationship to others under penalty of breach and compensation.
In this way, it appeared that Rosalind had a complete motive for leaking the core technology diagram for her mother’s medical expenses! Who would believe her now?
