Ulric took a deep breath as he listened to her discussing their marriage with such seriousness, resembling a business conversation rather than a personal matter.
“Let’s give it some more time,” he suggested, realizing that he might have been too hasty in his approach.

The next morning, their assistant arrived to take them to the airport. Throughout the journey, Ulric was occupied with communicating with shareholders, leaving him no time for even a sip of water. It wasn’t until he boarded the plane that he finally had a moment to relax and lean back.
Rosalind took advantage of this opportunity to review the materials sent by Cedric. The further she delved into the project, the more questions arose in her mind.
While the energy-saving company did show promise, did it truly necessitate Ulric’s personal presence as a distinguished president? Even if the investment amount doubled, it shouldn’t demand his direct attention. Could there be other matters requiring his focus?
The flight from Northville City to Jingtown lasted three hours. Rosalind had already filled several pages with notes, while the man beside her continued to sleep.
She wasn’t aware of when their midnight meeting had concluded, but it must have left him exhausted.
Upon landing, Ulric slowly opened his eyes, his brows slightly furrowed. “Have we arrived?”
“Yes,” Rosalind replied promptly, handing him a cup of warm water. “You haven’t eaten anything this morning and have been sleeping. Your stomach might feel uncomfortable later, so it’s best to drink some water first.”
He accepted the cup and took a sip. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
Rosalind then began organizing her materials. This type of natural interaction was what Ulric desired. He didn’t appreciate Rosalind being overly cautious, always treating him as a superior rather than an equal.
After disembarking, the CEO of SNS Company personally greeted them at the airport, with local media awaiting to capture the moment in the hall.
Observing the cameras, Rosalind wisely positioned herself behind Cedric, minimizing her presence.
“Mr. Walters, your visit is an honor! Jingtown is truly privileged to have you here today!”
“You’re being too kind. I am originally from Jingtown, so it’s only fitting for me to return and support the development of my hometown.” Only Ulric could make such formalities sound genuinely sincere.
As the media followed him, Rosalind discreetly took out her phone and snapped a picture of Ulric from behind.
Dressed in a light-colored trench coat over a dark blue suit, he exuded an air of elegance that accentuated his tall and commanding figure. He appeared like a star posing for a magazine cover!
Despite his simple attire, Ulric carried himself with a sense of nobility. Every gesture reflected his gentlemanly demeanor and refined upbringing.
This man truly belonged to the elite group at the pinnacle of society, whether in his days as a student or now in his professional life. It seemed as though he was destined to observe the world from above.
Soon, Ulric was surrounded and escorted to a car. Witnessing this, Rosalind hastily grabbed her laptop, determined to stay close to Cedric.
Before she could take a step, she heard Ulric’s voice.
“Rosalind, ride with me.”
“…”
His words directed everyone’s attention towards her.
To avoid further speculation, Rosalind swiftly put on her most professional assistant smile and approached him. “Certainly, Mr. Walters!”
As they settled into the car, she couldn’t help but whisper, “If you keep calling my name, people will start noticing me!”
She couldn’t comprehend why Ulric was drawing so much attention to her. Wouldn’t this have an impact on his reputation?
“Are you concerned about being seen?” he asked.
