Chapter 567: Isn’t banning him just a matter of saying it?

Book:A King Reborn in Shadows Published:2024-9-14

“Orion banned Mr. McGuire, and Young Master Stewart directly banned Orion-so domineering!”
“Across the Shipmeda State, how many can get Mr. Sheppard to visit personally? We can only look up to the Stewart family!”
“Big fish eat little fish, and little fish eat shrimp. Orion, the little fish, has fallen, haha…”
Everyone began to discuss animatedly, praising the Stewart family and expressing deep disdain for Flynn.
“Most of Orion and Uriah’s assets are tied to the construction industry.”
“With the Stewart family’s ban and the Dragon Creek Society’s ban, not even a god could save them!”
“Haha… serves him right! That’s what he gets for helping them!”
Cristina became excited again upon hearing this, thinking she could bounce back. She turned to Flynn with a cold sneer:
“The city officials couldn’t suppress you, but now Young Master Stewart has brought in the Dragon Creek Society. You have nothing to say now, do you?”
“Keep being arrogant! You even wanted to put a leash on my neck. Let’s see who ends up being the dog!”
“A dog?” Margot snorted lightly, coldly sneering, “After Mr. Sheppard arrives, he won’t even have the chance to be a dog.”
“Because I’m going to destroy him!”
“Torture him to death bit by bit!”
Margot had not objected to Thaddeus’s suggestion to turn Flynn in because the officials were helping. She thought Flynn surrendering himself might work until he was in prison where someone could kill him.
But Mr. Richardson couldn’t hold him down.
This annoyed Margot, but a call from Brooks gave her hope again.
With Mr. Sheppard taking action, Orion was doomed!
Soon, Flynn would be like a stray dog, easy to catch. They planned to hire martial arts experts to break his legs, torture him for a while, and then kill him!
Margot’s eyes sparkled with excitement at the thought.
Flynn, however, appeared indifferent, looking at Cristina and said coolly, “It’s useless. The Stewart family must guard the grave for Tinley for three days. You’re just a dog guarding and protecting the Stewart family’s house.”
“Not even the king of heaven can save you now!”
“Really?” Cristina’s eyes filled with mockery as she clutched her chest in feigned fear, “Oh my, I’m so scared, my little heart is thumping wildly!”
Seeing Cristina provoke Flynn like this, everyone laughed, feeling that Flynn winning one round wasn’t much, especially since Thaddeus was just a small fry.
The Stewart family had bigger backers and protectors, like the powerful Mr. Sheppard.
Crushing Flynn would be as easy as flipping a hand.
After a while, a black limousine slowly stopped at the entrance. The noisy courtyard quieted down, and everyone instinctively turned their gazes towards the gate.
As the car door opened, a figure emerged, dressed in a black suit, his presence commanding in the breeze.
Followed by a team of bodyguards and assistants, he was as secure as a fish in water.
“Mr. Sheppard has arrived! The top tycoon of Pelens! The president of the Dragon Creek Society! The wealthiest in Shipmeda State!”
“Mr. Sheppard, a dragon seen only in glimpses. We are so fortunate to see him in Niarak!”
“Who wouldn’t say that? If Mr. Sheppard hadn’t come, we would never have been this close to him. If I get to shake his hand later, I’ll boast about it for a lifetime!”
Seeing Bobby appear, everyone rushed towards the gate, eager to make an impression in front of Mr. Sheppard.
Brooks greeted him at the door, smiling and saying, “Mr. Sheppard, it’s been a while.”
“Ha, yes, about half a year, I hear. I heard the Terrapin Company Group exceeded its targets again this quarter. Young Master Stewart is truly promising. His future achievements will surely be great!” Bobby shook his hand, praising him.
“Mr. Sheppard, you flatter me too much. Once I join the Dragon Creek Society, I still have much to learn from you,” Brooks said with a modest smile.
“I’ve invited you here because I want you to blacklist someone. His name is Orion, the president of the Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild.”
Bobby nodded slightly, remarking indifferently, “Oh, that Orion who has been applying for membership for three years now!”
“Easy to say. A small Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild, isn’t blacklisting them just a matter of saying the word? I agree!”
At those words, everyone raised their thumbs up, thinking Mr. Sheppard was incredibly domineering.
“See what a big shot is? That’s a big shot! With just one word, he decides Orion’s fate!”
“Exactly! Don’t think just because you strut around Niarak, you are the best in the world. There are plenty of big shots out there who can take you down!”
“Just one word to kill Orion, so domineering! That’s unparalleled power!”
The Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild is worth fifty billion dollars! In their eyes, it’s a colossal entity, like Mount Tai.
But in Bobby’s eyes, it’s just a small mound, easily toppled with a mere gesture.
That’s the difference!
Cristina and Margot exchanged glances, smiles of anticipation appearing on their faces.
They knew Mr. Sheppard wasn’t just boasting; he truly had the power.
Dragon Creek Society brings together the elite of all industries in Shipmeda State, with a combined net worth exceeding a trillion dollars. Any member picked at random would be several times larger than Orion.
Thus, for Bobby to blacklist Orion was indeed just a matter of saying the word.
Cristina left the crowd and walked straight up to Flynn, sneering, “Weren’t you acting all high and mighty just now? Try acting tough again!”
“Why are you silent now? Mute? Deaf?”
“Wait and see. Today I will return all the humiliation I suffered a thousandfold!”
Margot also approached, standing shoulder to shoulder with Cristina, facing Flynn directly:
“There’s no cure for regret in this world. If you’re a man, soon you’ll hold up your neck for me to slaughter. Don’t start begging for mercy, crying and kowtowing.”
“And after you die, don’t be reborn as a human, because you’ve been a failure at it.”
The two stood like invincible avengers, their murderous intent thick in the air.
“Mr. Sheppard is here, and he’s still sitting in his chair; he must be paralyzed with fear!”
“Definitely. He always thought Young Master Stewart was just scaring him until Mr. Sheppard showed up and agreed to blacklist Orion. That’s when this kid finally knew fear.”
“That’s the price of arrogance. If you don’t have the ability, don’t pretend-why not deal with you?”
As Margot spoke, everyone else turned their heads to see Flynn still sitting in the wicker chair, and they couldn’t help but scold him.
Because Cristina and Margot stood in front of Flynn, Bobby couldn’t see anything, but he was sure Flynn was sitting.
He was furious and turned to Brooks to ask, “Who is that kid?”
Brooks replied, “Mr. Sheppard, it’s because of this kid that I asked you to blacklist Orion.”
Hearing this, Bobby’s expression darkened as he loudly said, “Kid, I don’t know what grudge you have with Young Master Stewart, and I don’t want to know.”
“Because the moment you crossed Young Master Stewart, you were in the wrong.”
“You’re sitting there now, trying to maintain your last bit of defiance? It’s useless.”
“Accept reality, kneel down, and apologize to Young Master Stewart. Maybe he’ll be lenient with you.”
“Otherwise, I guarantee you will be utterly ruined!”
