Dr Shulman nodded his head and inspected the small container before Abigor spoke up again “Use as less blood as possible, it is someone’s souvenir”
The Dr, Karl and Ben all turned to look at questionably with horror visible on their faces; but Abigor’s emotionless face dared them to question his order.
“Y-Yes boss, it’ll take around 2 days to sample it and come out with the results” Dr Shulman said as he carefully placed the items on the table and attached an “important” sticker to them.
“You mean 1-day” Abigor said threateningly while crossing his hands in front of his chest.
“But sir-”
“How’s your other leg, Dr Shulman?” Karl interjected as Abigor suppressed a snicker. Karl couldn’t bear it when someone even tried to question Abigor, his loyalty knew no bounds.
Dr Shulman’s face paled as he took a step back in fear “1 day. . . 1 day” he repeated as Abigor smirked and patted the old man’s shoulder.
“Make sure it’s done by the time I’m here” he instructed and turned out, walking out of the room followed by Ben and Karl.
His mind was swarming with worst-case scenarios and he didn’t want the samples to be of the same person.
If both are of Salvador Paulo’s, what will I do?
He questioned himself as he sat inside the car and held his hair in frustration.
I don’t want to trade Aria with Spanish Mafia if she were the killer, I never want to let her go.
His heart throbbed in pain as it burned in the yearning of the one person that ruled it. Aria.
He kept mumbling her name again and again as he kept trying to think of ways to protect her. His mind came out with nothing.
I will break the Hayes-Paulo pact if I have to.
Because he knew that if he found out right now, sooner or later, the Spanish were also going to find out about his little girl. And he wouldn’t let them, at any costs, snatch her away from his clutches.

Abigor closed the front door of Aria’s apartment as he entered inside. He had made a key for her apartment and didn’t need anyone to open the door for him now.
After a long day of work, he found himself fully dressed for the charity event and in her apartment at 5:30 pm, way before their set time to meet.
He shrugged “Who cares,” he thought walking towards her room “I can meet my girl whenever I want”
Aria flinched when he entered her room without any warning and the girl painting Aria’s nails froze in fear.
“You should stop entering my room without permission” she gritted out as the magazine she was reading, creased from the pressure of her fingers.
He walked towards her and sat on the bed, staring at her reflection in the renewed mirror of her dressing table “I don’t need your permission”
She rolled her eyes at his answer and instructed Nina to continue her work. She gulped down her fear and continued, avoiding eye contact with menacing mafia don at all costs.
He grumbled as his eyes raked at her slim and shapely body wrapped in a light pink robe and her hair was covered with aluminium foils.
“What are these?” he asked tapping on the aluminium foil.
Aria was confused by his nonchalant behaviour, he was acting like he didn’t just walk out of her apartment angrily in the morning.
“It will bring back the colour in my hair since it was fading” she replied as his eyebrows scrunched up in confusion.
“You are not blonde?”
“My hair is naturally black, I colour it” she said nonchalantly while blowing on her freshly painted nails.
Abigor’s jaw clenched, one more thing he didn’t know about her.
Aria saw his conflicted expression and the darkening of his eyes in rage. He had been that way since the morning and now she knew something was up. He looked angry, that was for sure, but he had a tinge of sadness inside of those stormy hazel eyes.
“I started colouring them just a few years ago, it’s not a big deal” she tried to console him as he stared at her reflection.
He was a little bit happy. Even though it was a small detail, he was happy that she shared it with him.
“Oh?”
That was all he could mutter before creeping behind her and resting his stubbled chin on her shoulder “I had a busy day today” he whispered as Aria’s hand automatically found his face and caressed his rough cheeks.
He sighed and closed his eyes, leaning more into her touch and slowly burying his face on her neck.
Nina gulped and glued her eyes down, trying her best to do her work and get out of there. It was surprising seeing the infamous mafia don, acting all soft with Aria.
“Abigor” she voiced out as he hummed and started placing kisses on her neck, breathing in her arousing fragrance.
“Did something happen?” she asked as he sighed again and opened his eyes to look at her beautiful brown eyes.
“I don’t want you to leave” he mumbled so only she could hear as he cupped her face and tilted her head to look at him straight “I want you to stay”
Aria’s eyebrows furrowed as she looked at his slightly glazed eyes filled with seriousness “Are you drunk?”
He groaned and nodded “A bit”. He had two shots of tequila before coming here, he was by no means drunk enough to go crazy but it was enough to show his hidden side to her.
Aria quickly looked at Nina stiffly doing her nails and doing her best to ignore them.
“Nina” she called as the young woman looked up at her “you can go, I’ll manage the rest”
Nina stood up almost instantly and nodded “As you say, Ms Leighton”. She walked out of the room and her apartment while breathing out in relief.
Aria shook her head in embarrassment as she saw Abigor burying his head on her boobs with his eyes closed. She ran her fingers through his soft hair as he sighed in content. He looked so tired and worn out.
“Why don’t you rest for a bit?” she suggested because she knew it was going to be a long evening with many tiring people around the business and mafia world.
“But we’ll be late” he mumbled hugging her more tightly than ever.
“We have more than 1 hour before we have to leave, you should rest while I get ready. I’ll wake you up when we have to go” she replied. He opened his eyes and looked up at her.
“Ok,” he said as he removed himself from her and took off his expensive navy coloured suit and loosened his belt and tie. He fell asleep as soon as his head hit the soft pillow of her bed.
She stood up and walked up to him. Her hand caressed his hair as he hummed in satisfaction.
He slept so peacefully, so unguarded. His unconditional trust in her was something which she never expected.
Before she realized it, a single drop of tear escaped her eyes; soon followed by another. She slapped her palm over her mouth to muffle her cry as her heart pained in guilt.
I’m sorry.
Abigor stared at the beauty with a glass of champagne in his hand; her fingers moved gracefully along the piano as soft music grazed the quite ballroom.
It reminded him of the first time they had met.
