Aria took in a deep breath as she slowly walked towards the front door. A strong smell of cologne welcomed her with a devilishly handsome face as she opened the door.
His eyes bored through her, lingering a little longer on her chest which was so graciously covered by the flower design.
A pervert, that’s what he was.
“You look alluring” he said with a small smile as he looked at her eyes again.
She smiled back. The same smile which she’d give out to the world “Thanks Mr Hayes, let’s go now” she said as she turned a little to pick up her purse.
“Isn’t Kahlil coming?”
A voice made both Abigor and Aria snap their heads towards it. Standing beside Abigor was his right-hand man, Karl Lagerfeld, the man who was bothering her brother.
“No he is not” she replied firmly as Abigor frowned.
“What’s it to you?” Abigor whispered to him as Karl shrugged.
“Just loved the company” Karl replied as he looked at Aria again “May I ask why?”
“He is not feeling well” Aria lied as Abigor looked at her up and down and smirked. The way the corner of her lips would twitch up for a fraction of second while lying, amused him.
He had noticed that in the cafe too when she tried to lie to him. He would remember that for the future because he knew damn well that it would come in handy someday.
“But he was fine in the morning. Have you even asked if he wants to go or not?” Karl argued as Aria’s eyes lit up in anger.
“I know my brother well. If I say he’s not well, it means he is not well!” she gritted out, trying her best not to lash out at him.
“Bu-”
Karl stopped when he felt a firm hand over his shoulder. He looked beside him to see Abigor throwing daggers through his gaze as Karl gulped and backed away.
He bowed down in front of Aria “I apologize for my insolence, Ms Leighton. I know that you know your brother the best”
Aria looked at his sudden change of behaviour as she looked at Abigor to see him standing carelessly with both of his hands in his pockets while whistling lowly.
“It’s fine, just make sure it never happens again” she remarked.
“Of course”
“Let’s go?” she said to Abigor who smiled a bit and extended his hands for her take. Which she did, hesitantly.
“Lead the way, my lady”
“Where is this house of yours?”
Aria asked as she watched Abigor speeding through the traffic, no doubt breaking a few rules.
“Oh?” he smirked as he glanced at her for a second before looking back at the road “Is someone interested in me now? I’m flattered”
Aria groaned under her breath “Sure” she dismissed, not having the energy to argue “Seriously though, where is it?” she asked again.
“We are almost here” he said.
“Ok” she replied but her head turned towards him in a start remembering something “There will no reporters right?”
At this, he glanced at her for a brief second “Do you not want to be seen with me that much?” his tone had a bit of anger laced in it and Aria quickly backed up in her seat.
“I just like my privacy”
He didn’t reply to that, just clutched on the steering wheel tighter than before with his jaw clenched a bit. He breathed in and out a few times probably trying to control his anger as Aria gulped a little in fear.
No matter how much she showed that his presence didn’t bother her. She was always a little afraid of him. Because of the horror stories she had heard about him weren’t the best.
His hands found her thigh as he squeezed it a bit. Aria gasped lowly in shock as tingles shot up from his touch. The car halted in front of a huge mansion as he turned of the ignition.
He turned around to look at her fully, his hands unmoving from her thighs and his gaze unwavering from her eyes
“I like my privacy too Aria, but..” he trailed off as his other hand reached to her cheeks and slowly caressed it. Her heart hammering against her chest and breathing becoming ragged in nervousness.
He leaned in “…but when I get someone as beautiful as you by my side, I couldn’t help but announce it to the world that you belong with me”
“But I’m not y-”
“Shh, don’t anger me right now. There are enough fuckers I have to deal with tonight” he said pointing towards the mansion and Aria couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle.
He smiled a little “Beautiful” he whispered in the softest voice she had ever heard him use as he sensually pecked her cheeks. She couldn’t fight the blush that crept up her face this time as she looked away.
“Lets get this over with” she mumbled and backed away from his touch, refusing to give in to his act. She knew how cunning mafias could get to have their ways.
Abigor sighed and ran his hand through his face and then his hair “Fine, let’s go”
Aria got out of the BMW and as she did, 3 more cars stopped behind her. Countless bodyguards got out and surrounded both her and Abigor while one of their hands remained fixed on their earpiece.
“Is this all necessary?” Aria asked in disbelief. Sure, she was used to keeping 1 or 2 bodyguards around but now it was a little too much.
Abigor looked down at her and then around themselves. He clicked his fingers as all the bodyguards quickly separated from then, some even disappeared in the darkness of the night.
“Woah” she said in shock while he slipped his hands around her waist.
“Let’s go, we are already late” he said as the started towards the huge mansion, lined up with hundreds of expensive cars with numerous chauffeurs and bodyguards walking around. But not a single reporter or paparazzi to be seen.
“My parents also like their privacy” he commented as he saw her looking around for media.
“That’s nice” she replied with a small smile.
The soft classical music along with incoherent chatter of innumerable people hit her senses. The huge hall was beautifully decorated with red and white roses, while many chatted around the champagne fountain.
