Chapter 526: Announcing the Crimes!

Book:Fallen Heir Rising Published:2024-9-12

Beckett cowered in the corner of the bed, wanting to escape but finding no way out.
Quentin grabbed Beckett’s injured legs and yanked him over. The excruciating pain from his unhealed legs made Beckett scream in agony.
With a face as cold as ice, Quentin lifted Beckett by his legs and slammed him onto the ground. Beckett felt as if his internal organs had shifted, vomiting blood profusely.
Beckett lay on the ground, barely alive, weak and feeble. Quentin’s slam almost turned him into a bloody pulp.
Wesley, who was sitting nearby, staggered over to Quentin and suddenly knelt before him, clutching his leg and pleading:
“Please, spare my son! Don’t kill him! If you must kill someone, kill me instead!”
Quentin sneered, a chilling laugh escaping his lips. He kicked Wesley away and said coldly, “Of course, I won’t kill him. Since I’ve already crippled his legs and he’s still so disobedient…”
“Then I’ll do a good deed and cripple another one.”
Upon hearing this, both Beckett and Wesley felt a chill between their legs. Beckett, lying on the ground, couldn’t help but tremble.
He wanted to resist but was too injured to move. If Quentin really crippled his other leg, his life would be worse than death. Beckett was so scared that a liquid seeped between his legs.
“I heard you’ve harmed many innocent girls. Today, I’ll act on behalf of justice.”
Quentin said coldly, raising his foot and stomping hard on Beckett’s groin. A faint cracking sound could be heard.
“Ah…!” Beckett’s face twisted in pain, his eyes wide open as he clutched his groin, blood pouring out. He rolled on the ground in agony before passing out.
“No! My son!” Wesley roared, crawling to Beckett’s side, crying bitterly.
They regretted it now-regretted their arrogance and angering Quentin. If they had befriended him earlier, they wouldn’t be in this situation now!
Quentin remained indifferent, taking off his shirt to cover Cerys’ exposed legs before leaving with her.
“Quentin, I’m sorry for always causing you trouble…”
“I thought you were killed by their scheme…”
Cerys cried uncontrollably, burying her face in Quentin’s chest.
Quentin hugged Cerys, stroking her hair to comfort her. “Silly girl, didn’t I just save you? Look, I’m fine now.”
Cerys cried even harder, vowing, “If you really died, what would be the point of my life?”
“I’d rather watch over you forever than see you suffer even a little!”
“May the ancestors of Miao Village bless Quentin’s wishes. I’m willing to serve you for all my lives!”
Quentin was amused by Cerys’ innocence and wiped her tears away. “Cerys, don’t say such things. Let’s go home; your parents are worried sick.”
Cerys smiled through her tears and nodded, following Quentin out of Wesley’s house.
As soon as they stepped outside, they heard footsteps approaching. A group of strong men from various Miao Villages quickly surrounded them.
Leading them were Eric Shepard and Rodney, along with Cerys’ family and Eileen.
“Daughter!”
“Sister!”
“Father! Mother!”
Cerys ran towards Henry and his wife, and the family embraced each other, crying.
“Quentin, did you rescue Cerys? What’s the situation inside? Where’s Wesley?”
Wizard Eric asked as he approached.
“Inside,” Quentin replied calmly.
“Everyone, surround the area! The rest follow me inside!”
Wizard Eric commanded. He led the leaders of various Miao Villages and dozens of strong men into the house with great momentum. Passersby gathered to watch, blocking the street completely.
Wizard Eric and his group searched Wesley’s house thoroughly and found several Miao women locked in a basement.
They were disheveled, with numerous wounds on their bodies. Seeing Eric Shepard and others made them even more terrified.
“Beasts! They imprisoned these women as slaves! Take them back for proper treatment.”
Eric Shepard and others were furious at Wesley’s family’s inhumane actions.
They then entered Beckett’s room and were shocked by what they saw.
Beckett lay unconscious on the ground, motionless. Wesley sat there with hollow eyes, looking dazed and pale.
Wesley looked at the leaders of various Miao Villages and seemed to understand something. He shook his head and laughed bitterly. “You leaders are truly united. I never thought I’d see this day.”
Patriarch Rodney pointed at him and said, “Wesley, today we will account for all the evil deeds you and your son have committed over the years to the people of Miao Territory! Take them away!”
Several strong men immediately stepped forward to seize Wesley and Beckett. Wesley did not resist; he knew it was futile now.
Wesley and Beckett were dragged outside, covered in blood and barely alive.
“What happened? Why are Chieftain Pickett and his son being taken away?”
“Did the leaders of various Miao Villages unite to eliminate him?”
“How did Wesley fall from such power to this?”
“It’s good they’re being removed. They committed many atrocities. It looks like better days are coming for us in Miao Territory!”
The onlookers discussed animatedly. If Wesley was removed, the entire Miao Territory would celebrate for days!
In the afternoon, three barely alive people dressed in prison clothes were tied to the execution platform at Black Miao Village-Chieftain Pickett and his son, along with Elder Ahmed.
The leaders of various Miao Villages sat in the viewing seats around the platform. Countless Miao people surrounded them; even Quentin was among them to witness this unprecedented execution.
Wizard Eric stood on the platform with his staff, shouting sternly: “Fellow villagers!”
“I’m sure you all know why we are executing these three today!”
“Today, I will list their crimes over the years before everyone!”
