“And I want all the details,” I nodded and turned to go to Nick’s car, “including the dirty ones!”
I got in the back seat with Aaron. Nick accelerated at full speed.
“What did you do at his house, Samantha?” Nick was driving and at any moment I might have a small nervous breakdown if he doesn’t slow down.
I looked at Aaron and he was sleeping on my shoulder.
“Nick, I only went to his house once and we didn’t do anything!”
“You’re lying, Samantha. I’m not stupid, I know better than anyone that a girl doesn’t go to a guy’s apartment to talk.”
“Well, I’m not like all the girls who’ve been to your apartment and I thought you knew that,” I tell him, but he ignores me.
“So you just talked?”
“Yes.”
Technically, it’s not a lie.
“You just talked?” he inquires.
This is going to annoy him and probably drive him crazy but I don’t want to lie to him. In fact, I want to, but he won’t buy it.
“We also kissed, but it was nothing more than that, Nick,” I explain quickly, hoping he would calm down with the last part.
His silence was disturbing me. I was expecting him to control his impulses to say things he would later regret.
“Who started the kiss?” The question outraged me.
This is tiring me. I shouldn’t be having this jealousy scene because he and I were separated. I don’t even know why I explained what I did at Aaron’s apartment.
“What does it matter? Besides, you and I weren’t together and he was dating me. You have no right to reproach me anything… I hate when you act like this…” I grumbled.
“Act like what?” he raised his voice.
“Like a caveman!” I shouted back even louder. “‘Me Nick. You mine. Let’s mate.’ We’re supposed to have evolved!”
“I don’t act like a caveman, Samantha! I care!”
“You care?! What am I?! Eight years old?! Sorry, dad. I’ll never be friends with anyone ever again. Even better! I’ll never talk to anyone ever again and I’ll stay locked up in the house all day so you don’t have reasons to tell me that I’m yours! You have to stop being so chauvinistic! I’m not your property!”
“When I told you that you were mine… It’s something between us, I also feel like I’m yours, Samantha, but it comes from a sentimental place, it’s not… It’s not that you can’t have your own life, I don’t know how to explain it.”
“Silence,” Aaron groaned, interrupting Nick. He hugged me around the waist and put his head on my chest.
“Oh, consider yourself a dead man,” Nick murmured and stopped the car. Horns started honking behind us.
“Nick, he’s drugged, if you dare touch him I swear to God I will kill you.”
He got out of the car and went over to Aaron’s door. He grabbed him very roughly and strong by the arm. He dragged him away from me and opened the passenger door. He placed him there gently, to my surprise, and slammed his door.
After two seconds he was next to me and kissed me. His kisses are passionate and avid. A fire starts to rise throughout my body making my skin feel hot.
Each time I want more of him, my body asks for more of him and that desire is insatiable.
A small part of sanity in my head told me to stop this, but the truth is that I don’t want to stop.
I grabbed a handful of his hair and pulled him closer to me. He moaned against my mouth and tightened his grip on my thigh.
He pulled away a few inches from me. His rapid breathing hit my face.
“Can you deny that we belong to each other in some way? We’re so good together it’s scary,” he whispered against my lips and gave me a tender smile. Then he pulled away from me, leaving me all flustered in the back seat.
He went back to his seat in the driver’s side, not caring about all the people who were cursing him for stopping traffic as he had done. He looked at me one more time and winked at me.
When we got to Nick’s apartment, he himself carried Aaron to his door.
He laid him on the sofa and he fell asleep instantly.
How will he react when he wakes up? I should have taken him to his apartment, this was not a very good idea.
Nick and I looked at each other. We were both serious. I think that kiss didn’t fix anything. He turned around and locked himself in the bathroom. I was left alone in the middle of the living room.
I took the liberty of opening the refrigerator and grabbing a bottle of mineral water. I was pouring its contents into a glass when the bathroom door slammed open again. Nick took long strides towards me and I bumped against the countertop.
He grabbed my hips and lifted me. He sat me on the countertop and forcefully kissed me. His mouth moved to my neck and then behind my ear.
“We have a problem…” he whispered. “Every time you make me mad, the only one who can calm me down is you.” I bit my lip to avoid saying his name. He kissed my collarbone. “Your skin…” He returned to my face. “Your lips…”
Our tongues intertwined. Nick grabbed the waist of my jeans and pulled me closer to him. I was on the edge of the countertop.
“You drive me crazy,” his voice was strangled.
Just when he was carrying me to go to the bedroom, someone knocked on the door many times and I removed my legs that were around his waist.
“Were you expecting someone?” I asked, still breathless.
He shook his head. He looked through the peephole of the door and then looked at me.
“It’s your mother.”
