I felt a line of warm kisses from my cheek to my jaw, and then down my neck. I couldn’t help but smile. It’s nice to wake up like this.
“You finally woke up, although you could also smile in your sleep. That would be very cute,” Nick murmured into my ear.
“What time is it?” I asked, opening my eyes and instinctively stroking his neck.
“Seven,” he replied, planting a kiss on my forehead. I quickly pushed him and got up straight away. “Hurry! We’re going to be late.”
I ran to the bathroom to brush my teeth and comb my hair. Damn, I needed a shower, well, I had half an hour.
When I looked in the mirror, Nick was leaning against the doorframe watching me.
“You didn’t regret it, did you?” he asked. It touched me that he was concerned about that, so I slowly approached him and gave him a soft kiss on the lips.
“No,” I reassured him. Nick pulled me closer to him and gave me another kiss, devouring me deeply.
He took me by the waist and without separating our lips we headed back to the sofa. We fell abruptly and I laughed. He was on top of me and started to take off my blouse.
I wanted to forget about university, but I couldn’t.
“No, no, no. We have to go to university,” I ordered, but Nick ignored me and started to kiss me behind my ear. “Nick… Please,” I moaned. It sounded more like a plea for him to continue rather than to stop. I curse my damn hormones.
“Please, what?” he wanted to know, teasing me a bit, knowing the answer. “I think we could skip today, don’t you think?”
I wanted to push him away and say no, but his magnetic body on mine made it difficult to think about the most important things in my life, it distorts everything.
“I don’t totally dislike the idea.”
Did I just say that?
Before, I would never have chosen to be with Martin and miss school. But that was obviously before I met Nick.
When I let him take off my blouse, Nick’s mobile rang, but he continued to stare intently at my body. Even though he has seen me naked, I still get nervous, especially when he looks at me this way, as if he wanted to bite me. They kept calling Nick over and over again. He let out a grunt, grabbed his cell phone, and threw it away.
“You can answer if you want, what if it’s important?”
He shrugged. “The only thing that matters to me right now is what I have in front of my eyes.” I shook my head and smiled like an idiot. I took his neck so that he would kiss me again, but when his lips touched mine, the landline in the living room started ringing.
Are you serious?
I intended to ignore it, but it didn’t stop, and you’ll understand when I say that that sound cuts every inch of how fantastic the moment is.
“Answer it, please,” I begged him, looking resignedly at the ceiling.
Nick got up from the sofa in a very rough manner, took the landline from the living room.
“What?” he answered angrily. “I’m not going,” A pause. “I said no.”
After a few seconds he grunted a couple of curses and gave in. “Fine.”
“Who was it?” I asked as I put my blouse back on.
“Nobody,” he replied tersely, and went to the bathroom, slamming the door.
Great.
I guess we’re going to university.
I ran to my room, bathed, brushed my hair, and put on a dress.
Twenty minutes passed and we were heading to university in his car. Nick hadn’t spoken to me since he slammed the door in my face and I didn’t speak to him either. Why is it that when something is going well, things like these always happen?
He parked and I stormed out of the car straight towards the building. I felt his footsteps loudly echoing on the sidewalk behind me but I didn’t turn around. Nick grabbed my arm and made me turn to look at him.
A girl is approaching us, but Nick didn’t see her, he’s focused only on me.
What did he want to say? It’s fine that he has problems, but he can’t treat me as he pleases when he pleases.
I paid more attention to the girl who seemed not to stop in our direction. Her short skirt in which her behind could be seen, pointed shoes, and V-neck shirt where her breasts were at risk of coming free, and her flirty smile told me a lot about her. She looked at my cleavage and raised her eyebrow – She has much smaller breasts than me, but I don’t want everyone looking at them like she does with hers. She has black hair, light brown eyes, perfect nose, perfect complexion, perfect body. This girl is beautiful from any angle.
“Nick, I missed you darling,” she purred on Nick’s shoulder and followed that she took his face and kissed him.
I stood still not knowing what to do or say, and not because I couldn’t think of anything to do, I had many ideas. The first one was to hit the girl. The second to grab her by the hair and smash her perfect face into the sidewalk. Or the third to leave there and not allow myself to cry.
I stayed two seconds more there waiting… I don’t know, something. Waiting for Nick to cut off that kiss once and for all, but he didn’t. He didn’t do anything.
I couldn’t stay any longer to see that, so I turned around and left.
A part of me thought I was going to hear Nick’s footsteps behind me, but no. He didn’t follow me. He stayed with her.
I kept walking, dodging the crowd of people around me. Looking at the ground with my eyes full of tears threatening to come out. I started to walk faster trying to find a bathroom or something to be more peaceful until I bumped into someone. We both fell but I was on top of him.
