Cristina scoffed repeatedly, mocking:
“He just said he was going to call Mr. Richardson, and I almost believed him.”
“He doesn’t even have the number.”
“With such connections, he expects Young Master Stewart to bow down? What a joke.”
Rodrigo, severely injured and in pain, couldn’t help but laugh a little at Cristina’s words, his eyes filled with intense anticipation.
Flynn’s mere words had exposed his own limitations; he didn’t even have Mr. Richardson’s phone number. How high could his ceiling possibly be?
Compared to Young Master Stewart, who even knows department heads, he’s nothing but a grasshopper.
Margot and Emerson thought the same, feeling that Flynn would soon be defeated.
Finally, Flynn asked Katrina for Travis’s phone number and dialed it directly.
“Mr. Richardson, this is Flynn. Do you have someone named Thaddeus under you?”
“Thaddeus? Thaddeus? Yes, he seems to have gone to the Stewart family. Mr. Clark, why do you ask?” Travis became nervous upon hearing Flynn’s words.
To him, Flynn was the type to visit only when harboring ill intentions.
And this “matter” seemed to be a bad one; otherwise, someone of his stature wouldn’t call so casually.
Thaddeus chuckled mockingly, “After all this fuss, he finally found someone willing to play along with his act.”
Brooks, laughing along, added, “Thaddeus, I bet after a brief chat, he’ll hang up and tell you Mr. Richardson is furious.”
“And he’s convinced that by doing so, you’ll believe it’s true and flee in terror.”
The others also laughed, thinking Flynn was bluffing, getting someone to impersonate Mr. Richardson to intimidate Thaddeus.
“I believe it, of course.”
“Fools see everyone as fools; of course, he’d dare to do this.” Thaddeus sneered.
Ignoring the mockery, Flynn spoke indifferently to Mr. Richardson, “Your Thaddeus is quite unreasonable. Brooks slanders me casually, and he takes it as the truth.”
“And he wants me to turn myself in. Mr. Richardson, what do you say, should I go, or should I go?”
Hearing this, Travis’s face turned pale.
He wasn’t close to Flynn, having only recently met him during a visit with the Governor to Ponocord Bay.
It was then that Travis gained a new understanding of Flynn.
This guy even dared to confront the Governor, and the Governor didn’t dare respond.
Then, a few days later, news of Flynn smashing the King of Poison reached Travis, thoroughly shocking him.
Now he knew Flynn was a medical and martial Great Grandmaster.
His connections were profound and mysterious, now tied even to the military.
Even the Governor didn’t dare offend him lightly.
With this in mind, Travis quickly said, “Don’t… don’t! Mr. Clark, please don’t do anything rash. Let me speak to that dog-”
But before he could finish, Thaddeus snatched Flynn’s phone, addressing the person on the other end:
“Listen, you dare to impersonate Mr. Richardson, that’s a grave disrespect!”
“I don’t care who you are, get to the Stewart family and kneel to apologize, or I will make sure you’re dead.”
“You’re so audacious to defy the heavens! Stupid thing!”
After saying this, he didn’t give Travis a chance to speak, hung up the phone, and tossed it back to Flynn.
“Thaddeus is absolutely right; dealing with such idiots requires harsh words!”
“It seems Thaddeus has had enough of this brainless behavior. The person on the other end must be terrified by now.”
“Daring to impersonate Mr. Richardson, how audacious, Thaddeus must punish him!”
Seeing Thaddeus so decisive and irate, everyone praised him, casting disdainful looks at Flynn.
Brooks snorted lightly, smiling, “Thaddeus saw through his tricks; I guess he’s panicking now.”
“The next step is to call someone to plead on his behalf.”
Cristina said, “I heard Orion knows Mr. Howe. I bet this kid will call Orion.”
“And then he’ll ask him to call Mr. Howe, who in turn will beg you.”
Thaddeus frowned, “Why does that sound so convoluted? All these twists and turns.”
“Let’s make it easier for him.”
After saying this, he turned off his phone, smiling sardonically, “Now no one can plead for him.”
Everyone was startled, then quickly understood Thaddeus’s intention, and couldn’t help but start flattering.
“Thaddeus is wise! With the phone off, no one can call to plead.”
“Thaddeus is impressive indeed, cutting off that guy’s retreat outright,” someone remarked.
“This kid is utterly hopeless now; he should be ready to give in. He seemed so formidable, yet he’s about to kneel so soon.”
Brooks shook his head as he looked at Flynn, “I thought you could take a bit of a beating, but you couldn’t even handle Thaddeus.”
Thaddeus sneered, “With your attitude, you still thought to buy raw materials from Terrapin Company at one-tenth of the market price? You’re not as capable as you think, nothing at all!”
“No, no, no!” Flynn shook his head indifferently. “Thaddeus is wrong. From the moment you hung up the phone, Terrapin Company has been supplying Orco Real Estate with raw materials for free.”
Free supplies?
Shock statements never fail to stun.
Everyone was dumbfounded.
It was unclear where Flynn got his courage from, still talking tough when cornered.
“Haha, in all my years, I’ve never seen anything like this. Who does he think he is?” Thaddeus, curious about Flynn, turned to Emerson.
With a forced smile, Emerson respectfully said, “According to my investigation, this young man is the son-in-law of the Kaur family, though the wife despised him and they divorced recently.”
“As for his background, that’s even more interesting. He’s the discarded son of the Clark family, kicked out at the age of five.”
“He lived with his mother in Niarak, scavenging until she died when he was eighteen. After that, he spent ten years in prison and was only recently released.”
Upon hearing this, everyone was stunned.
Flynn’s life was more tragic than imagined.
Disowned by his father, imprisoned for ten years, even his wife despised him enough to divorce him.
Thaddeus, surprised, looked at Flynn and clicked his tongue, “The Clark family is large, with about twenty men of your generation, each as vigorous as dragons, boasting brilliant achievements.”
“Especially the son born to Paxton and Wang Yanjun, whose martial arts are extraordinary, truly a rare genius.”
“You’re also Paxton’s seed, how did you end up so wretched?”
“Could it be that you were premature, and suffered a brain injury at birth?”
“Bam!”
Just as everyone jeered, Flynn threw a punch at Thaddeus’s jaw.
Thaddeus flew backward, tracing an arc in the air before crashing heavily onto the concrete ground nearby.
His jawbone was fractured, and his spine suffered severe impacts upon landing, breaking in several places.
The scene fell silent for a few seconds before erupting into chaos.
“He… he dared to hit Mr. Richardson’s secretary!”
“A madman, definitely a madman! Now there’s no need for Young Master Stewart to handle this; Mr. Richardson won’t let him go!”
“I guess he’s not planning to live much longer, wanting to drag a few down with him before he dies!”
Everyone stared at the agonizing Thaddeus, unable to believe it. It was one thing to hit Rodrigo, a bankrupt nobody, but Thaddeus was a favored man of Mr. Richardson.
For years he had managed his duties impeccably, earning much praise from Travis.
And Flynn had seriously injured him?
“The mouth is for eating, not for spewing nonsense. Since you don’t want to use it properly, you might as well lose it,” Flynn said as he strode toward Thaddeus.
“Stop him!” Brooks’s face changed, and he shouted at his men.
The Stewart family and their bodyguards rushed up.
“Bang, bang, bang!”
The sound of fists meeting flesh filled the air, mingled with the sound of breaking bones.
In less than ten seconds, all the bodyguards were down on the ground, crying out in pain, clutching their limbs.
Everyone gasped in shock.
Emerson was visibly shaken, unable to speak for a moment.
He had heard from Braiden that Flynn’s martial arts were formidable, but he hadn’t expected them to be this formidable.
The bodyguards brought by the Stewart family were experts in Inner Strength!
Yet they couldn’t even touch a piece of Flynn’s clothing!
Brooks’s mouth twitched, realizing for the first time how inadequate his bodyguards were.
Cristina was downright terrified, kneeling now without the protection of the bodyguards. With Flynn’s capability, killing her would be as easy as crushing a chick!
A chilling coldness descended from the sky, turning the Wong family’s courtyard into an ice cellar, bone-chillingly cold.
Flynn stepped on Thaddeus’s chest, swept his cold gaze over everyone, and with a menacing tone declared:
“I’m now going to break all his teeth. Who dares to stop me?!”
