The people of Knights’ Liberty were caught off guard, not anticipating that the enemy had a submarine. As numerous missiles struck, casualties were heavy.
Screams filled the air as the members of Knights’ Liberty suffered severe losses. Amidst the chaos, the submarine’s hatch opened. Lynx emerged, urging, “Boss, everyone, quickly get inside!” Without hesitation, Chris Shelby led the Death Guards into the submarine.
As Chris Shelby and his group boarded the submarine, the people of Knights’ Liberty, unwilling to give up, began bombarding the submarine with artillery. Lynx, with a dismissive smile, ordered, “Dive immediately!” The submarine quickly submerged into the sea, rendering it unreachable by conventional attacks; deep-sea bombs, which were not in Knights’ Liberty’s arsenal, would be needed.
Inside the submarine, Chris Shelby’s expression was grim. “Lynx, launch the missiles now. I want to flatten Knights’ Isle!” he commanded. Knights’ Liberty had made the unforgivable mistake of kidnapping his wife. It was time they learned the consequences of provoking him.
Lynx complied immediately, launching hundreds of missiles. The relentless explosions caused Knights’ Isle to tremble violently and soon engulfed it in flames. The people of Knights’ Liberty scattered in panic, but trapped on an island surrounded by water, their escape options were limited. Out of thirty thousand members, only a few thousand survived.
Dull, the leader of Knights’ Liberty, clenched his teeth in rage as he watched the dark sea. His attempt to retaliate against Chris Shelby by kidnapping Esther had backfired disastrously.
Back in the submarine, Esther encountered a young girl. Chris Shelby had initially planned to leave the girl under someone else’s care, but considering she was being hunted, he decided to bring her along. “It’s better to see one’s charity through to the end,” he thought. Since he had saved her, he might as well keep her safe.
Approaching the girl, Esther smiled warmly. “What a beautiful girl! My name is Esther. What’s yours?” The girl, wide-eyed, remained silent. Confused by her reaction, Esther was further puzzled when Chris Shelby explained, “Dear, this is a little girl I saved from the roadside. She’s mute.”
Esther gasped, her heart filling with sympathy for the pretty, mute child. Meanwhile, Tiger approached with a proud grin. “Boss, how did I do this time?” Chris Shelby nodded. “Well done this time. I’ll commend you for this.”
Tiger’s face lit up with joy at the praise.
