Irene was done for the day of filming, so when she returned to her room, Ethan was already waiting for her.
“Things slipped; it didn’t go as planned.” Irene stared blankly at him before sitting beside him. “If it didn’t go as planned, it doesn’t mean it wouldn’t go as planned some other time, and that time is very close.”
Ethan frowned. Irene was sometimes unpredictable; he expected her to yell or for her to have a sour face, but instead, she wasn’t bothered. “Is there something you aren’t telling me?”
“Isabelle is a very foolish person, so I didn’t expect her to help me ruin Ivy.”
Upon hearing her, he immediately understood she must have butted in.
“Ethan, you aren’t smart enough. Next time, watch out for Zack Anderson; he is very unpredictable. Ivy, on the other hand, that girl is something else.” Mentioning her sister’s name, her face scrunched up. Her sister had changed; it wasn’t a slight change, and it was annoying her more.
“How did Desmond’s number…”
“About that, Kate saved his number on her phone just in case. She isn’t as useless as I thought. If she hadn’t done that, maybe the police would have been after you,” Irene replied.
“So what is your next target?”
Irene didn’t reply, she just patted him on the back.

Filming kicks off at the beginning of the new month, August. No one was more excited than director Tim. After the obstacles were cleared out of the way, his enthusiasm for ‘Tomboy Donna’ increased.
The first scene required Ivy and some others with bit roles. Then, later, Anna Steward would be arriving on set to start her part. Many of the production crew were anticipating her presence due to her recent fame. Stephen chose her to top off Ivy’s current fame, knowing the competition ahead.
Currently, Ivy was filming Donna’s first day of school, while Joan was dealing with her own issues. She sneaked into the restroom with Ivy’s phone, scrolling through her contact list, trying to find Desmond’s number. After a few minutes of searching, she finally found it and deleted it. She heaved a sigh of relief, hoping Ivy hadn’t seen it because if she did, she would surely suspect her.
“Hello there.”
A voice jolted her from her thoughts. She clutched her chest, looking at the figure that gave her a fright. “What do you want?”
Suddenly, her phone dinged.
*Her name is Kate; get to know her.*
She raised her face to look at the so-called Kate. “Hi, Kate, nice to meet…”
“Please save the courtesy, take this.” Kate cut her off and gave her a small bottle of water. “Make sure she drinks this.”
It seemed there was a new plan, then she rode along. “Okay.” Giving her water would be easy; after all, she was her personal assistant.
*
Ivy was done with one of her scenes but couldn’t find Joan at the spot where she saw her not long ago. “Where did Joan go?” Due to her thirst, she tried finding her personal assistant. As she approached the bathroom, she found Joan with a cleaner; the cleaner’s back was facing her, so she couldn’t see her face, only her back view.
“Joan.”
The shocked expression from Joan made Ivy frown. Her eyes were darting between Ivy and the cleaner, as if she had committed a grave sin.
“Yes… Ivy,” she stammered and immediately left the woman she was talking to a while ago. Before Ivy could return her gaze to the cleaner, she had already disappeared.
She didn’t think much about it, so she asked, “Who is she?”
“Oh, an old friend of mine. Sorry, I left with your bottle of water; you must be thirsty.” Joan quickly changed the topic, opened the bottle, and handed it to her. Ivy collected it, but as she was about to drink the water, she felt a soft tap on her shoulder.
“Good afternoon, ma’am. Here.”
Ivy recognized that voice, so she smiled. “Did my hubby send you?” Zack had introduced him to her after the issue with Isabelle was resolved.
Edmond returned the smile and gave her another bottle of water. “Of course, ma’am.”
Since he was sent by her hubby, she drank it instead of the other one given to her by Joan. Joan bit her lips as she watched Ivy gulped the other bottle of water. She couldn’t believe this man’s presence ruined the plan. Since she had no right to complain about Ivy’s choice, she kept silent.
“Ivy, prepare for your next scene.” Director Tim’s voice sounded on set.
“That man won’t give me a break.” Ivy chuckled. Director Tim was pleased with her acting, as she didn’t have to repeat a scene more than twice; because of that, he thought he could finish the day’s filming in time.
“Should I request a break from the director?” Edmond asked as he was ready to walk up to Director Tim. After all, Zack did instruct him to make sure she is safe and her needs get attended to.
“No, no, no, I was just kidding.” The level of loyalty freaked Ivy out. He was damn serious about it,”I was just kidding.”
“Ivy where are you.” Director Tim’s voice sounded again.
Ivy left both of them and returned to the set. While Director Tim explained the next scene to Ivy, Anna Steward walked in and stood among the rest of the crew. She was well aware of Ivy’s recent scandal and the main reason she was used as a replacement. And, of course, Ivy’s past hiatus; she wanted to see what’s so special about the outdated actress that got the netizens excited when she announced her comeback.
“Action!” The clapperboard was clasped, and Ivy transformed into Donna.
It was the scene where Donna had to scale a very high fence of the school building in search of her target. She suspected a bunch of perverts to be up to no good, so she sneakily spied on them.
“She had never acted in an action film; I wonder why she chose to act in this movie,” Anna’s personal assistant whispered in her ear.
Anna watched Ivy closely for a while before replying. “They say she is one of a kind. Haven’t you heard? I still remember her nickname.” Her assistant expected Ivy to chicken out, even though she was wearing a safety harness; she still had no experience in this kind of scene.
Surprisingly, there was no ounce of fear on her face. She successfully scaled the wall without losing her footing.
“Cut.” Director Tim ended the scene there. Ivy was taken down, and as her feet landed on the ground, Anna approached her. “Hi, Ivy,” she stretched her hand for a handshake.
“Hi, Anna, nice to meet you.” Ivy smiled.
