After their argument, Ivy left with Susan and Joan without giving an apology. Isabelle’s manager’s eyes twitched as he watched them leave stoutly. He huffed and glanced at Isabelle, who was biting her lips trying to suppress her anger.
“The only way to put her in her place is to find real evidence to prove her guilty.”
Isabelle nodded subconsciously, her mind trailed off; she desperately wanted her to be replaced. It seems her plan didn’t work perfectly; though the media were still on Ivy’s tails. If the situation continues to push through, she might get entangled in her own mess.
“Isabelle, we are leaving for the police station tomorrow,” her manager declared.
“What? No.”
He frowned. Why was she hesitating to involve the police? “Is there something you aren’t telling me?”
Isabelle shrugged. “Don’t worry, she will get what she deserves.”
“Then what do you plan on doing?” He asked.
To be honest, Isabelle had no idea. The woman isn’t a pushover as she imagined her to be. She bit her lips in thought. ‘What if she has something up her sleeves?’ She brushed it off. No way, Ivy was an actress without backing; she wasn’t even signed to any agency. She chuckled, making herself believe the thought. Not knowing she was completely wrong.

At night, Isabelle left the hotel. As the night crossed into dawn, another huge news stirred up the entire entertainment industry. The actress Isabelle Cruise was attacked and was rushed to the hospital.
Immediately, the producer Stephen and director Tim received the news, they rushed to the hospital. Isabelle was lying unconscious on the bed, while her PA was by her side sobbing.
Isabelle’s manager’s face was filled with anger. As soon as he saw the both of them, he said what he felt at the moment.
“What are you waiting for before you replace that woman? She is a criminal!” Stephen never expected the whole situation to exacerbate to this extent; he looked at the manager helplessly. The day filming was supposed to commence, she was rushed to the hospital claiming Ivy was the culprit behind her attack, and now when he felt the situation was subsiding, it suddenly escalated. Was Ivy really behind her attack? It happened twice in a row.
“How is she?” Director Tim responded. He only came to ask about her well-being, not to push the blame on someone who hasn’t been proven guilty.
“She is definitely not fine,” he replied abruptly.
“How did it happen?” Stephen asked. He was more interested in knowing what happened so he could decide his next move.
Isabelle’s PA came out of the room. “I’ll tell you what happened. I accompanied her to see some friends, and we left the hotel at exactly 9 PM. On our way back, we were attacked by a guy. I’m not sure I would be able to recognize; he started punching Isabelle with no refrain… for no reasons. I had to call for help.” She sobbed. “Isabelle couldn’t put up a fight; he completely overpowered her. Luckily, someone came to our aid and brought her to the hospital.”
Stephen, listening to her, couldn’t help but suspect Ivy. Her and Isabelle did have an argument before she was attacked.
“Did the attacker leave a clue behind?”
“No, he just attacked her and ran away. I can’t recall what he looked like in detail, but I knew he had an average height and nothing else.” Isabelle’s PA sniffed as she wiped her tears.
Director Tim, seeing her crying, scrunched deep in thought. ‘She doesn’t seem to be pretending. I don’t know who to believe.’ With the way Susan explained what happened in the hotel’s hallway, he thought Isabelle was trying to frame Ivy and get her on the public’s bad side. But for her to be attacked for the second time, it confirmed her claim.
“Don’t inform the media about this…”
“Explain why.” Isabella’s manager fumed at his words. His hatred for Ivy had reached the climax; he wanted to make sure Ivy suffers in many ways, and the public scoldings will be one of them. “When she wakes up, she will definitely arrange to see the media and, of course, the police. So you better start looking for another actress to replace her. I won’t let her off until she’s behind bars.”
Stephen understood what he meant. If Ivy was really the culprit, there would be no way for her to participate in the film. “I’ll let you do as you please.”
“Inform us when she wakes up,” Director Tim said.
There was no need for Isabelle’s manager to inform the media, as someone else leaked the information of her second attack. Immediately the media heard the news, they hurried to the hospital, but Isabelle’s manager refused an interview unless Isabelle wakes up to inform them herself. They understood and left awaiting her recovery.
The news of her attack circulated, and the netizens were in an uproar. Since Isabelle claimed Ivy as the culprit after her first attack, they concluded she was also behind the second attack.
When Susan saw the news, she immediately went to see Ivy in her room. Ivy, as usual, didn’t fret. Neither did she fume with anger.
“Isabelle has gone too far. How could a normal human being go through all that to destroy another woman like her?” Joan said. She never thought one incident would escalate to this extent; Isabelle was really adamant on ruining Ivy’s public image.
“I’m sure when she wakes up, she would start spilling lies,” Ivy said. “When she reaches her peak, I’ll step up to clarify everything. Defending myself now would be futile.”
Joan’s phone beeped. *Don’t forget to keep me updated. I want to know her every move.*
She quickly put her phone away. “I’ll be back,” she excused herself.
Meanwhile, Irene was currently pleased with the way her sister was being slandered. Watching her suffer was like soothing her heart from her immense urge. She knew Ivy’s present scandal wasn’t enough to completely ruin her career; that’s why she keeps looking for every opportunity to grab into her favor.
