GERALD
Fuck, Rosa…” My lips pursed. “Too… close,” I muttered as my gaze dropped to her lips, my body sizzling with the warmth that permeated through her body. She didn’t move away- the proximity maddened me.
Rosaline pulled me by my belt. The sexiest thing any woman had ever done to me, and I felt all of my defense slip off.
“What? Are you scared?” Her voice was suddenly raspy, and seductive, and she glanced up at me through her eyelashes, making my head hot with thoughts.
Scared? Maybe I was. I was terrified of how wild I’d become if she moved any closer. My breathing had become heavy and labored, and my breath caught in my throat. “Rosaline, do you not know what happens in enclosed spaces like this?”
“Show me,” Her hand pulled around my nape. “I permit you.”
I should stop her. Halt these dangerous waters we were testing. Instead, I pulled her legs apart a little and moved closer till there was no more distance- engulfed in her scent and the heat that emanated from her body. I lifted my right hand and moved away the strand of hair that fell on her face, cupping it as I sucked in air through my teeth, my lips a breath away from hers. The connection was an intense, toe-curling one, my entire body burning with want for her.
“Gerald,” she muttered against my eager lips, but I was too hasty to curb the sensation that rose inside of me, so I let her complete her words in my mouth.
When our lips touched. Fuck- I thought I’d get a nosebleed. My eyes closed, and my hot, urgent lips continued their exploration, gently at first, then unyieldingly hard. Slow, aphrodisiac brushes of her lips against mine till Rosaline’s hands worked their way into my hair, then slowly stroking my neck.
I was blinded with pleasure, the already hardened bulge in my pants growing bigger as she shifted so close, that she almost straddled me. I kissed her. I kissed her hard, losing myself in her taste, her heat, and every damn thing about her. She opened her mouth for me, allowing my tongue to snake through, exploring every inch of her that I could in fast-paced seconds.
“I…” she panted softly against my mouth as she broke the kiss. Her eyes couldn’t pick a focus. She was as dizzy with want as I was. “I don’t know…”
Contrary to the doubt in her voice, her legs were tight around my waist as she held my face in place. My erection rammed into her core, twitching and struggling to get out of these restraining trousers. I’d never hated clothes more. Rosaline licked my bottom lips, then bit it so hard she summoned a growl from my throat. Fuck- how do I not?!
Her thighs straddled mine, hard- the intensity of the contact and warmth from her thighs against my hardness disconnected my entire thoughts. I met her lips with mine again, hungrily, wrapping my hands around her and stroking her lower back as our lips molded together.
God- she made the sexiest sound I’d ever heard as she took deep pulls from my tongue, panting breathlessly against my mouth, and the heat drove me further towards euphoric madness. I was desperate for friction. My hand flexed, and I grabbed her thigh, pulling her impossibly close against my shaft and pressing into her. Rosa gasped in response, her hands carelessly caressing my back, grazing softly with her fingers.
I squeezed her waist, baring my teeth. “Fuck.” I cussed. She felt so damn good, I brought my lips to her neck, placing small bites in trails. Her body shuddered against mine, but I wasn’t done.
She sucked in the air real quick and looked at me, a seductive grin on her face. With a swift movement, Rosa lifted her sleeveless vest over her head. I choked on the shock, but it didn’t last- my attention was snatched by the loosened buttons of her shirt, putting her cleavage on display- just inches away from my mouth, she was barely covered by a bra so thin, I could see her hard nipples poke through the fabric.
I was crazy about this. She made me crazy for this.
“My god…” I muttered absent-mindedly, and Rosaline spasmed. Something vibrated on the table, but I couldn’t possibly care less. I pushed tighter against her, my lips trailing wet kisses down her neckline. The vibration came again, and I still didn’t let go. In fact, I’d rather die than get my hands off her.
She jumped off me, hastily and stood at a distance, a confused expression crossing her flushed face, then it boiled into… regret? “I’m- sorry! This- fuck! I…”
Sorry? What was she sorry about? Who knew that one word could hurt this much?
“No, no, no- it’s fine,” I croaked, itching to pull her close and pick up right where we left off. I didn’t know what to say to a lady who was apologizing for the most beautiful moment I’d had in such a long time. “We were just… caught up in the-” Nothing I say right now would make sense. Nothing. “These things happen…”
“I think you have a call,” She muttered as she hopped off the table, standing a few steps away from me. Just looking at her flustered face was enough reason to drool, and I almost couldn’t look away.
“Yeah, uh-” I fumbled the phone. “It’s probably just work.” I couldn’t seem to get my tongue to work unless it were inside her mouth. My body was wet with sweat and the distance between us was killing me. “It’s just work.”
Can we just go back to what we started? Rosaline looked incapable of making eye contact with me. She was suddenly interested in the floor while I picked up the call and slowly brought the phone to my ear. “Hello?”
“Hi,” the unfamiliar voice called from the other end. “It’s almost time for the interview. We’d go live soon, so I was wondering if you are already on the premises.
Oh shit! The interview was today, and I had completely forgotten about it. Why at a crucial time like this? “Okay, we’ll be there.” I immediately disconnected.
“We? What’s that?” Rosaline asked, aching her brows. she had already adjusted her clothes, I grabbed her hand and pulled her.
“The interview, we’re late.” I rushed and ushered her out of the office. “I forgot to tell you.”
Rosaline rolled her eyes, and I helped her out of the office, dreading every single step we took away from that table and everything beautiful we could have had on it.
“Let’s get it over with,” Rosaline said, and we hurried to the car.
*
“I am exhausted to my bones,” Rosaline whined as we walked out of the agency to the underground car park.
We finished the interview a while ago, submitting ourselves to the sweet nothings and lies the public wanted to hear. Even I was confused as to what was real and what wasn’t.
“I can’t wait to go home and sleep. I’m so sleep-deprived,” She said again, as though she was trying to drive at something. I didn’t know what it was, but simply hearing her talk was good enough for me.
“Wait.” I turned over to her side and pulled the door open. “You may go in now.”
Rosaline squinted, a cheeky smile on her face. “What? You’ve suddenly become a gentleman because you want to fuck me, is that it?”
How audacious was she going to be? No matter how much I could have prepared for that, it still hit and pleased a part of me. “Hm, and you don’t?”
“I don’t,” She shook her head slowly, her fingers trailing the car door. My stomach did a flip, and I felt a twitch in my pants.
She caused that. What have I become? I closed in on her personal space, leaning lower until my face was barely an inch away from hers. “Do you want to test that out?”
I could see the contemplation cross her eyes before she retreated fearfully, a hint of red spreading over her cheeks. “Le- let’s… go home.” Rosaline stuttered. “I have work to catch up with. So, er- let’s just…” her voice trailed, and the rhythmic pacing of her leg increased.
It was fun to see her react so adversely. Rosaline was a deadly combination of a flower and a thorn, and it was almost impossible to tell which one she was at the moment. It felt like the more I got to know her, the more sides to her she showed.
“Oh, we can’t go home now,” I glanced at my watch. “If we move now, we can just make it right on time.”
“Make what?”
I raised my head. “Dinner. At your parents’. Your father requested it.”
“And you didn’t think to tell me?” She asked in a voice laced with sheer anger. “I mean, you accepted before telling me?”
This must be why Mr. Rivera had asked me to keep it a secret. He must have known she’d react this way, although I couldn’t exactly pinpoint why. “It’s just dinner, Rosaline. Should I have rejected the offer then?”
“Yes!” She yelled at me, her brown eyes narrowing and boring into mine. “You should have asked me or told me about it, at the very least. I’m not ready for that, anything like that! I’m going home, and you are, too, my husband.” Rosaline entered the car and slammed the door.
Leaving me with my hands on my waist to sort it out myself. I’d promised her father I’d get her home unfailingly after he’d mentioned how worried her mother was about her. He also mentioned a special announcement, too, for her. I wasn’t sure she wanted to miss out on that, especially if she might regret it later.
Why did I even care so much!? My fingers raked my hair, and I let out a dejected sigh before settling in the car, too.
We’re going to find a way to make it work. Luckily for me, she made it easy. Barely five minutes into the journey, Rosaline already had her eyes closed, and her head slacking against the window. She’d fallen asleep, and she looked effortlessly beautiful, irrespective. I pulled her head back from the window, causing it to fall on the headrest, and for a moment there, I’d rather watch her sleep than keep my eyes on the road.
Then again, two casualties out of negligence were so dumb. Maybe the judge would understand that I was merely distracted by her beauty. I squeezed my hand around the steering wheel and accelerated. I headed in the direction of her family house. Let’s get this over with.
It had been about five minutes since we arrived in the compound, and I just wanted for Rosaline to have her beauty sleep. She jerked awake after a while, staring at me with barely opened eyes. “I must have fallen asleep…” She said softly.
“Uh, I see that.”
“You could have woken me,” She added. “Did I snore? You must have watched me snore out of spite, you evil human!”
I was waiting for it to sink in, for her to finally look around and realize where we were. And so she did, like clockwork. Rosaline looked out the window, and her eyes bulged. “You brought me here? I told you to let us go home! What is wrong with you!?”
I sighed, frustrated. “I had to. I promised your father, and I don’t break promises. Not to mention, you might need that conversation with your mum soon. How long has it been?”
A bitter peal of laughter slid out of her mouth, and her eyes instantly watered. “So now you fucking care what goes on in my family? What conversations I need to have!? You suddenly care!?”
I could hear her pain in every break of her word, but there was nothing I could do at the moment to stop it. I looked up ahead through the windscreen and caught the sight of Rosaline’s mother by the huge metal doors.
“There she is. I don’t think running away is possible now.”
