Xalia walked down the stairs and paused when she saw Draven and some men, including Henry sitting in the living room. She recognised her father’s personal assistant.
They turned to her and she ignored their stares, she walked towards the hallway and Draven stared at her. She got to the hallway and headed to Draven’s study.
“That will be all for today.” Draven said out of the blue and the men turned to him surprised.
“What? Why?” A man asked.
“Cause I said so.” Draven replied and they all exchanged looks, they mumbled words to each other before standing up and walking out of the house.
Xalia’s father’s personal assistant and Henry stood while others walked out.
Draven gave him a questioning look and he bowed slightly.
“I have a message from McCall.” He said.
“And what is it?”
“It is about his daughter. He would like to know how she is doing.” He replied and Draven scoffed.
“How do you think she is doing?” Draven replied and he bowed.
“My apologies sir. Have a nice day.” He said and walked out of the house.
“So, you ended an important meeting because of Xalia.” Henry chuckled and Draven ignored him.
“Whatever you are doing Draven, use your head. You’ve got fifty-eight days left.” Henry said and tapped Draven’s shoulder before walking out.
Draven walked towards the hallway and looked around, he saw the door to his study slightly open and he walked into it. He met Xalia behind his table as she went through something.
“Hey.” He called and she looked up at him.
“Hey.” She called back and fixed her eyes back on what was before her.
“What are you doing?” Draven asked as he moved closer to her.
“What are you doing with that?” Draven asked with a stern look as he saw her studying the blueprints of a building.
“You are planning a heist in Mr. Harrison’s Noble Building.” She said,
“Have you been there before?” He asked.
“Yeah, Kyle took me there twice. That was where I first met his father.” She replied and stared at the blueprints.
“So you know the building so well?”
“Not really but I know if you are after his collection of sapphires in this vault, with your plan, you will get caught.” She said and Draven rolled his eyes.
“What do you know?” He asked and she chuckled before standing up from his chair.
“Here, sit.” She ordered and he frowned, she giggled and shook her head.
“Please Draven, sit.” She begged and he sat down, she sat on his lap and cleared her throat.
“So, what do you want to know?” She asked with a smile and Draven stared at her for a few seconds before turning to the blueprints.
“Why did you say I will get caught according to that plan?” He asked and she smiled before turning to the prints.
“Okay, pay attention. The first thing you should know about Mr Harrison’s Noble’s Building is that it looks huge on the outside but inside it is not. He only opens it twice a week. Firstly, a day for the cleaning of the building by his most trusted workers and secondly, the day he sells some of his jewels. There are only certain people he lets into this building for the purchase.”
“Following.” Draven muttered and wrapped his arms around her waist.
“The building can only be opened by a key, the door isn’t built with modern technology, it is an old door, a very strong one used in the castles in the ancient days and only one person holds that key, Mr. Harrison.”
“Go on.”
“When he opens the building for cleaning, he puts in ten guards to watch the ground floor and fifteen guards to watch the first floor where his Sapphires are. It’s just a storey building. On the ground floor, the ten guards stay at each edge of the building, they monitor the workers as they clean. On the first floor, only three workers are allowed in; they already have a permanent identity because Mr. Harrison doesn’t change workers. In the building, there are a total of twenty security cameras… ”
“Hold on.” Draven cut her off.
“You only went there twice, how do you know all this?”
“Well, during the second visit, it was the cleaning day and it wasn’t very crowded so Kyle gave me a tour.”
“So you went everywhere in the building?”
“Yes.”
“Including the room filled with the Sapphires?” He asked and Xalia shook her head in response.
“No, we only toured that floor, Kyle said only his father knew how to get in there and also, it wasn’t a room. It was a vault.”
“A vault?”
“You really wanted to rob a building and you know nothing about it?” She asked and Draven rolled his eyes at her.
“Actually, I won’t do it alone. But it is always easy for me.”
“How?”
“I just pull the trigger and kill everyone.”
“Why?” She asked and he shrugged.
“Anyway, when do you plan on robbing Mr. Harrison?”
“In a few days, why asking?”
“Can I help?” She asked excitedly and Draven frowned.
“No.”
“But I have a better plan.”
“My plan can be perfect with bullets.”
“Come on, it doesn’t work every time.” She whined and he sighed.
“Please Draven.” She begged.
“It’s going to be dangerous, first we need to know how to open the vault and also, I am not the only one after it.”
“Who else? Aren’t you their lord?” She teased and Draven hit her forehead lightly.
“Ouch.” She feigned pain and he used his thumb to crease the spot.
“Who else is after it?”
“Not sure yet.” He replied and Xalia sighed sadly.
“In the meantime, you can draw out a new plan.” Draven said as he let go of her waist and handed her a pencil.
“Okay.” She replied excitedly and started drawing out a new plan.
Draven stared at her and sighed, he used his hand to crease her waist as she drew on the blueprints and he used his free hand to run his hands through his hair.
“Fifty-eight fucking days.” He whispered.
