At the Stewart residence.
Flynn sat in a wicker chair waiting for them, having just played a couple of games when Matteo called.
“Flynn, are you still at the Stewart family’s place? I know Madeline and her mother are injured, and you’re angry, but you must stay safe!”
Flynn was stunned by these words.
Paulina is injured and I’m angry?
What a joke!
If it weren’t for the fact that she’s Uncle Kaur’s wife, Flynn would have slapped her to death!
Moreover, how did Uncle Kaur know he was at the Stewart family’s?
It was baffling.
“Alright, Uncle Kaur,” Flynn responded and hung up the phone.
This was truly irritating.
He hadn’t been in touch with the Kaur family, yet somehow the matter still dragged him in, which was exasperating.
And what was most depressing was that he planned to pretend he knew nothing about Paulina’s injury.
Yet, at this moment, Uncle Kaur called again, speaking incoherently.
After dealing with the Stewart family’s affairs, Flynn would have to visit Paulina in the hospital.
Just as he was about to play another game, Nathan called.
“Mr. Clark, your wife just called me, saying the Stewart family was giving the Kaur family a hard time and wanted my help.”
After hanging up with Madeline, the more Nathan thought about it, the more confused he became, and decided to call for clarity.
“Madeline?” Flynn paused, then said indifferently, “We’re divorced. Just call her by her name from now on.”
“What? She’s foolish…” Nathan was so shocked he almost cursed, but quickly corrected himself: “It’s truly a pity, the Kaur family doesn’t know what they’ve missed.”
Flynn felt indifferent, replying coolly, “I also have business with the Tang family, and I’m waiting for them at the Stewart family’s place, so don’t worry about this.”
“Any leads from Pelens?”
Nathan said, “Yes, we’ve spotted the Black Mamba squad. They left Pelens yesterday, destination unknown.”
“According to my sources, the squad brought advanced sniper weapons, the Anaconda M82, apparently for a specific mission.”
Flynn frowned slightly.
The Anaconda M82?
That was currently the most advanced and powerful sniper rifle in the world.
It could easily penetrate vehicle armor and hit targets accurately from over 1000 meters away.
Who were they planning to use it against?
As Flynn puzzled over this, the entire courtyard suddenly fell silent.
Everyone’s gaze seemed magnetically drawn to the entrance.
A tall figure walked in slowly, his black hair like lacquer, dressed in white with gold trim.
His expression was solemn and majestic, with a hint of indifference.
“Young Master Stewart!” Margot ran up to greet him.
Rodrigo couldn’t help but exclaim, “Brooks Young Master Stewart has finally arrived, truly the legitimate heir of the Stewart family, his presence is overwhelming!”
“I’ve only seen him twice before, but the impression he left was lasting.”
Cristina couldn’t believe it, saying, “At just 34, he already exhibits the demeanor of a great leader, more imposing than Orion, it’s stunning.”
People around looked at Brooks with reverence, consciously making way for him.
The scene conveyed a sense of all beings in submission, as if no one in the world could stand against him.
“Continue the investigation,” Flynn said as he hung up the phone, casually crossing his legs, keenly waiting for Brooks to approach.
Margot wiped her tears and said excitedly, “Young Master Stewart, you’ve finally come!”
“You must stand up for the Stewart family! Even after telling that thug you were coming, he still beat us like this, showing no respect for you!”
“River, my son!” Emerson saw River’s knees shattered, his brain exploded with shock, pleading with Brooks:
“Young Master Stewart, Vivian adores this brother the most, she’s currently getting her hair done, if she knew…”
Brooks’s expression grew solemn, he raised his hand to stop Emerson, his gaze landing on Flynn, speaking indifferently:
“So, you’re Flynn. Orion once came to speak on your behalf, though I never met him.”
His voice was calm but carried an oppressive force.
Flynn watched Brooks and remained silent.
“Perhaps because of this, you harbored resentment and caused a disturbance at the Stewart family.”
“But in the face of absolute power, impulsiveness solves nothing and only makes matters more complex.”
“I am not a tyrant. Since you are a friend of Orion’s, I’ll give him that respect. An eye for an eye.”
“I’ll have your legs broken and your shoulder blades crushed, and then you apologize to the Stewart family, and we can forget this ever happened,” Brooks stated indifferently.
Flynn scoffed, thinking Brooks was really putting on airs, and decided to play along, tilting his head and asking, “If I do that, will Young Master Stewart lift the restrictions on Orco Real Estate?”
“Damn it, Young Master Stewart is here and you still sit and talk to him? Get up!” Rodrigo yelled at Flynn.
Cristina was also furious, “Young Master Stewart is merely retaliating, and you dare sit there acting all high and mighty instead of kneeling in gratitude?”
The others verbally attacked him as well, looking at Flynn’s carefree demeanor and itching to knock him over.
Brooks frowned slightly, clearly displeased with Flynn’s attitude, but calmly stated, “This is just the price for offending the Stewart family today. The ban on Orco Real Estate remains.”
Flynn, grinning insincerely, asked, “Then what would it take to lift it? Should I die as an apology?”
“That’s not necessary,” Brooks waved dismissively, “If Orco Real Estate gifts 90% of its shares to the Stewart family, the ban will be lifted.”
Flynn nodded, “Understood. I’ll cripple my legs and an arm and give 90% of the shares to the Stewart family for free, and then we can all live in peace, right?”
Brooks looked at Flynn, his face proud, “I know you’re not content, but you have no choice.”
“Of course, if you’re interested, I can bring some big shots over to really convince you.”
“Sure!” Flynn, pulling at his ear, smiled broadly.
Everyone was shocked.
Brooks was pulling in connections to suppress Flynn!
The Stewart family’s friends were all heavyweights, any one of them could terrify Flynn!
And he agreed?
Wait until he loses all face!
Margot and her husband were also excited.
Brooks was doing this not just to suppress Flynn, but also to flex his muscles.
As relatives by marriage of the Stewart family, they naturally hoped Brooks would do this, to not only suppress Flynn but also to elevate the Stewart family’s status, killing two birds with one stone.
Flynn shrugged, his smile insincere, “However, my time is valuable, and sitting here watching you show off is a waste of it.”
“I’ll need some compensation.”
“How about this: if the people you call can’t hold me down, the Stewart family will kneel for three days at the Tinley grave.”
Brooks coldly responded, “A mere Niarak, setting terms for me? Fine, I accept!”
Margot and Emerson also sneered, thinking Flynn’s terms were as good as flatulence.
Just a stupid comment.
Because Brooks would never lose.
Cristina, seeing the standoff form, sneered and said to Flynn, “Kid, keep talking tough. Young Master Stewart will leave you with nothing!”
“When the time comes, I’ll leash your neck and walk you to death like a dog!”
Her Tibetan mastiff, valued over a million dollars, had its head crushed by Flynn, a loss she mourned deeply.
That was her dog, her baby, whom she used to cuddle in sleep, only for Flynn to kill it.
Rodrigo also sneered disdainfully, “Thinking you can turn the tables in Niarak and no one can touch you here? Such ignorance!”
“No wonder the Clark family doesn’t want you and your mother, you’re just brain-dead.”
“Paxton should have killed you when he had the chance, then your idiotic face wouldn’t be disgusting us now.”
Boom!
Flynn’s face suddenly turned icy, and he stepped forward, unleashing a punch at Rodrigo.
Rodrigo’s chest exploded as if hit by a cannonball, his feet involuntarily lifted off the ground, and he flew backward like a broken kite.
He crashed into a flowerbed, where the sharp thorns of the rose bushes tore his skin, leaving him bloodied.
Blood gushed from his mouth, his life hanging by a thread.
Flynn’s gaze was icy as he stared down at him, his words murderous, “Since you like playing the fool, I’ll oblige you.”
“If Brooks’ people can’t hold me down, then you’ll end up like River, confined to a wheelchair for life!”
