ARGON
“This wedding cannot take place!” Brielle yelled, drawing nearer to Estelle and I.
This got everyone present, wondering what was going on. They murmured, rising to their feet and watching how Brielle stormed up to the altar to meet Estelle and I.
“I knew it! She still wants me in her life! And she was acting all tough. Now let’s see how she starts begging me to…”
To my greatest surprise, Brielle dragged Estelle by the hand, ordering her to step off the altar!
“Are you mad?!” Estelle screamed at Brielle, struggling to push her off. But Brielle didn’t let go.
This shocked me. What is she doing?!
“Let go of my daughter!!” Alpha Deron roared, rushing up to Brielle and Estelle, trying to grab Brielle’s hands of his girl. But a stubborn Brielle began dragging with both father and daughter.
This drama stunned everyone, leaving them watching in amusement.
“Do we call this a cat fight?”
“Oh, this is interesting.”
Some began to laugh while others found this uncomfortable to watch.
What is wrong with Brielle? Is she that desperate to have me that she chose to embarrass herself like this?
“I have to stop her, ” I decided, diving in to settle this matter.
Quickly, I pulled Brielle away from Estelle, stopping her from fighting with her. “That’s enough!!” I roared at Brielle, standing in her way.
Brielle was panting out, ordering me to step aside. “Move Argon! You don’t know what you’re doing!”
“Yes, I do! And I also know why you’re here, ” I raised, making my voice loud so everyone would hear us.
“You know nothing!”
“Of course, I do. And it’s the same the I warned you about, Brielle.” I pointed at her, showing my dominance.
With pride, I told Brielle, “You had your chance already, but you chose to stay shut and embarrass yourself before everyone. Do you think your drama would change my mind? No, Brielle. I already told you what I’d do if you come running tonne to take you back.”
“What?!” Brielle lifted her brow at me in confusion. She’s still acting so innocent. But I know what she wants and what’s in her mind.
She won’t get it. It’s too late for her.
“Who told you I’m here to stop your wedding and beg you to take me, Argon?!” She roared, shocking me in an instant.
I felt heat engulfing my whole body. My eyes lingered about briefly to see how the guests watched me.
If she didn’t come to beg, then why is she fighting with Estelle?
“I am trying to save your bride’s life, not to take her place! ”
“What?!” My eyes popped out on hearing Brielle’s words.
What does she mean by save Estelle’s life?
Brielle pushed me aside and walked up to Estelle, ordering her before everyone, “Take off that wedding gown, Estelle!”
“What?! Are you mad, you bitch?! Do want to naked me?!” Estelle shouted, standing behind her father for protection.
Alpha Deron shielded his daughter as well, yelling at Brielle. “If you think I’d stand here and watch you humiliate my child, then you’re mistaken. GET OUT OF HERE!!”
“Old man, listen to me! If she doesn’t get out of that dress, you won’t have a daughter any more!” Brielle fired back, pointing at Estelle’s wedding dress.
This was beginning to get tensed.
The press had their cameras flashing at us while the guests were mumbling, wondering what Brielle was talking about.
“Take off her dress?”
“Is this some kind of joke?”
“Why is she forcing her?” They all murmured.
The councils had to step down to know what was going on. “Brielle, what’s the matter?”
“What is the problem?” Sir Derek had joined in as well, standing closer to the councils.
Brielle immediately rushed up to them and said, pointing at Estelle’s dress, ” Please tell her to get out of that dress now! Its been poisoned.”
“Poisoned?!” I uttered in astonishment, looking at Estelle, who rolled her eyes at Brielle’s words in disbelief.
“Someone has poisoned that dress to get Estelle. If she doesn’t get out of it on time, she’d die! ” Brielle reported, facing me.
“Tell her to remove that dress, Argon! If it wasn’t important, I wouldn’t be here, struggling with you two in the altar, trying to help someone’s life. This is not just about her, but about your child,” Brielle said with her eyes turning… Wet.
Is… Is she serious?
“That’s a big lie! ” Estelle sparked out. “I refuse to believe this woman’s nonsense. She’s only here to ruin my wedding, because she can’t stand the fact that she’s going to be single when Argon marries me, ” She bragged, smirking at Brielle.
“If this dress was indeed soaked with poison, why…” Estelle suddenly paused. She just froze in her spot, looking out to nothing.
“Estelle, what is it?” Alpha Deron asked, touching his daughter on the shoulder.
Before we knew what was happening…
“AHHHHHH! AHHHHH!!” Estelle screamed like a maniac, falling to the ground, shaking like a fish out of water.
“Estelle!!” We all screamed dout her name, rushing to stop her from hurting herself.
This was horrifying to behold. Estelle’s screams sank deep into everyone’s ears, causing us to panic in fear.
“What’s wrong with her? ” Alpha Deron asked, trying to touch his daughter, but couldn’t.
“MOVE!!” Brielle sparked at us, diving down and ripping off Estelle’s expensive wedding dress into pieces.
I had to join her immediately in tearing the dress apart, seeing how serious she ripped the cloth from Estelle’s body with speed.
Our guards had to dive in to shield Estelle, who was crying while going naked on the floor.
“IT BURNS! IT BURNS!!” She cried out, begging for help while shaking on the ground.
When Brielle and I had the dress ripped off fully, we found something green and slimy on Estelle’s body and on her ripped dress.
“What is this? ” I gazed in horror, seeing how this slim stuck itself to Estelle like leach.
The substnce puffed out an irritating odor that filled the area in an instant.
“Goodness! What is that horrible smell?!” The councils complained in disgust, covering their noses.
My whole body shivered in irritation, leaving me frozen in my spot. What is this?!
“There’s no time! We have to wipe this off her body and take her to the hospital, quickly!” Brielle ripped part of her own dress and began to clean Estelle’s body.
I had to do the same by using my suit in cleaning Estelle’s body. She was still crying and screaming in pains.
Who is the monster behind this?
“My daughter!” Alpha Deron had been panicking since the moment his girl began crying. He had to bend down and join us in cleaning her up.
Soon, Jerome arrived with a blanket and wrapped Estelle in it. I had to lift her into my arms, dashing out of the Hall with Brielle leading the way.
“Hurry up, Argon! We don’t know how long she has!” Brielle yelled, racing towards my car and opening it up for me.
I immediately placed Estelle in the back seat and got into the car with Brielle.
She sat in front with me, telling me to drive off quickly. I did as she said, obeying all her words.
Even when Jerome and Alpha Deron came rushing out to join us, I had started the car engine and driven off from the venue, heading for the hospital without them.
My whole body was still shivering from this shocking scenario that just took place. I directed my eyes at a stressed Brielle, who sat next to me, panting out.
Her hand wiping off sweats from her forehead, as she looked back multiple times to check on Estelle, who was still crying at the back seat, yelling the words ‘It Burns’.
“Her skin is turning red. We have to get to the hospital fast. I’ll call Doctor Nicole and let her know the emergency on ground,” Brielle suggested, looking for her phone which she couldn’t find.
“Take mine,” I said, giving her my phone.
She took it and called Doctor Nicole, telling her what had happened.
I kept on driving, keeping my eyes straight into the night. My heart was still pounding, as I wondered what that greenish substance was on Estelle’s body.
It smelt disgusting and looked horrible.
