BRIELLE
“Ah yes, another moron on the list. This one will make a fine example, for thinking he can mess with my company and walk away freely,” Bane groaned.
Just like my wolf, I couldn’t stand King Damien’s presence one bit. He’s too proud and thinks the world revolves around him.
“He’ll soon meet his end, if he doesn’t take it easy, ” I said to Bane from within, still looking at Damien.
He bragged to Sir Derek about all his achievements, and assured him he’d get his goods within a week.
“Then you’ll see who’s better, ” He said, dropping his gaze on me.
It’s not the first time he’d be doing this. He did the same thing at the company yesterday.
When I arrived and attacked the bank manager, I noticed he was hovering his eyes at me, licking that soft tissue he calls a lip.
“Did you see that?! Oh! Making a Rizz, huh? Wait till I twist that mouth and squeeze those eyes like eggs!” Bane was disgusted by Damien’s woo.
It was clear that the idiot was trying to shoot his shot with me, knowing that Argon and I are no longer together.
Well he’s on his own if he thinks I’ll fall for his nonsense charm. I no longer value such things.
With this settled, Damien left the office with delight, while Argon, Jerome and I remained with Sir Derek.
A troubled Argon expressed his disapproval to the plan, finding it unnecessary.
“That man will only cheat! This is how he sabotaged my first work, leaving me with no one to buy those goods. Believe me, he will do anything to ruin me, ” Argon complained to Sir Derek.
His whining only irritated my eardrums. I rolled my eyes at his murmurs, waiting for him to be done.
When I heard Sir Derek mention my name, I looked and noticed they were already staring at me.
“What? Did I miss something?” I asked.
Argon wasn’t looked pleased. Probably because I was the one who made the suggestion.
But who cares?
“You’re the one who brought this idea, Brielle. And for you to suggest such, I believe you know what you’re doing,” Sir Derek said, smiling at me.
We may not know each other that well, only through my late father-in-law, but still… Sir Derek reminds me of that sweet man who took me into his home when I had nothing.
There’s a similar behavior between the both of them. Maybe that’s why I feel better when talking to him.
“Yeah, of course you do,” Bane said. She had heard my thoughts.
“Oldie closed an eye and sent a large amount to this Baboon’s account. He’s just like your late father-in-law.”
“You’re Nasty, ” I teased Bane, almost chuckling out.
I composed myself and gave my response to Sir Derek. “Yes, you’re right about that. I know what I’m doing. If Argon wasn’t capable of handling the task, I would have stayed quiet and allowed King Damien to keep yammering. But to be fair, I felt it would be best if we both handled this task and you work with the first responder. ”
Sir Derek nodded with pleasure while Argon and Jerome stared in dissatisfaction.
I know why they’re moody. They are worried that Damien would try something nasty again.
But that shouldn’t be a problem when I’m around. After all, this company is going to be mine one day.
Every obstacle must be removed.
Done with our meeting, we exited Sir Derek’s office and made our way to the entrance of the building.
Argon’s countenance had changed since that decision was made. It didn’t bother me one bit, since he’s being too childish over a silly matter.
I just followed from behind, planning my next move.
The moment we stepped out of the company, Bane immediately picked a familiar and disgusting smell from the corner.
In a swift, I moved forward, turning around to find Damien behind me. He almost took hold of my hand but couldn’t due to my speed.
When I moved, he was surprised at my reflex.
“Fascinating. I thought everyone said you were wolfless, but you were quick to notice me, ” He pointed out, smirking in amusement.
I glared at this annoying fellow who thinks he’s smart. That brain of his will be his doom.
Scoffing, I asked, “Must I have a wolf to notice your pressure, King Damien?”
His action had gotten Argon and Jerome’s attention. They both came to me, standing by my side.
“Your strong deodorant or whatever you bath yourself in, gave you away in an instant. If you were in a battlefield, I bet you’d be dead in no time.”
What I said got Damien laughing. He rubbed his chin in delight and said to Argon, “And you left her for one silly model? Gosh! You really don’t know what you’re missing, Argon.”
“Get lost, ” Argon groaned at Damien, pulling me along with him.
He made me get into the car, sitting beside me, while Jerome sat in the driver’s seat, starting the engine.
Before we left, I took one more look at Damien. He was staring at me with pleasure, licking his lips again.
“EWK! ” Bane almost puked, choking out in disgust.
I directed my eyes off him and settled it on Argon. Only to find him staring at me already.
He didn’t look happy.
“What? ” I asked, lifting my brow.
He didn’t say a word to me but turned away, ordering Jerome to head back to the mansion.
And once we arrived, Argon grabbed my hand all of a sudden and pulled me into the mansion.
His behavior was beginning to annoy me. I wanted to drag back but stopped when he placed me at a corner, away from his servants’ gaze, questioning my action at Sir Derek’s office.
“You shouldn’t have made such a decision! Do you know what that bastard did the first time? He sent two of my riders to the hospital with his rugged nature. Now that you made this plan, he’ll try everything in his power to stop me from striking that deal!”
“You’re acting as if he wouldn’t do the same thing if I didn’t make that suggestion,” I pointed, poking Argon right in the chest.
“If we had just stood there and allowed him to leave without getting what he wants, do you think Damien would leave you? No, Argon. He will do worst than the first attack,” I said, so he’d use his brain.
Of course it got to Argon. He just stared at me, unable to say anything else.
But I still have a lot to tell him.
“Let Damien take part in this game. The person who finishes first would be crowned the winner. Besides, if he tries to attack while we’re working, the guards are there to beat him to a pulp. So stop crying and act like a man.”
“Crying?” Argon’s eyes came large at my words. “I’m… I’m not crying,” He defended, composing himself before me.
Who’s he deceiving?
“Yeah, says the man who was mopping his father’s room with tears,” I exposed him, smirking out.
Argon was shocked. He pointed at me with his face turning red. “Where… You… Did you…” He stammered in embarrassment.
“Get yourself ready for work, Argon. I’ll be in my room.” I turned my back at him, waving goodbye.
As soon as I walked into the pathway leading to my room, Tania came out of her hiding spot.
She had a paper in her hand, in which she handed over to me with delight.
“Thank you, love. You have done well,” I appreciated, looking at the paper in my hold.
This paper wasn’t ordinary but an important tool in my plan. This paper contains King Damien’s factories’ location.
“You should have seen the way I snatched it from King Damien,” She giggled, stepping into the room with me.
After getting Sir Derek to help save the company, I sent Tania on a mission. And that’s to get me some info on King Damien and his accomplice.
Pretending to head out and get some things for me, Tania was able to gather and return with so many juicy reports on each and everyone of them. That’s how she notified me of Damien’s plan to see Sir Derek.
So meeting Damien at the company wasn’t a surprise to me.
When he left the company in excitement, Tania carried out another plan from outside. She bumped into Damien and scattered his file about.
She was able to use her beauty to fool him into thinking it was an accident, failing to see Tania stealing the location paper right under his nose.
“That man is a goat. He even gave me his phone number,” She puked, showing me the number he wrote on her hand.
“I was going to clean it, but I thought you’d need it.”
“And you did well, my sweet Tania,” I praised her, caressing her cheek.
She was so happy with all the works she had accomplished.
“I’ll give you whatever you want. Just name it.”
“Just punish that irritating man on my behalf. I don’t want to see his face any more, ” She said, shivering in disgust.
That got Bane laughing in delight.
“In the gutters you shall find him!” She cackled loudly. I giggled, promising to do as Tania wants.
“He’ll be sorry he ever crossed paths with us, ” I said, looking at the paper one more time.
