ESTELLE
“Green… Green eyes?”
I stared at this black beast in shock.
A wolf with Green eyes? How’s this possible?
Wolves can only have red, yellow, gold, and blue eyes. Since when did wolves have green eyes?!
This beast came crawling towards me in stilth mode, growling with those green eyes flashing straight at me.
“No, this can’t be real. I must be seeing things. Yes, I’m imagining things, ” I believed, trying to get myself out of the stream of fear I was swimming in already.
“This must be a prank. Maybe… Oh! Maybe that foolish maid planned with someone to dress like this an scare me! That brat! I know she’s the one.”
I glared at this beast, as the flashes from the thunderous night sky, flashed in, giving me more view on this abomination.
With confidence, I said, standing straight, “I know it’s you. You think you can scare me with this costume? Pathetic! ”
I scoffed, getting my boldness back.
“If you like yourself and don’t want your Alpha’s wrath to befall you, it’s best you…”
CRACK! The thunder clapped loudlyloudly, causing me to shiver.
And the moment the thunder came in with another flash from the sky, I was left horror-struck by the sudden advance of this beast!
The black wolf, it came pouncing at me with speed, with it’s vicious long teeth and claws, springing out.
I fell to the ground with this monster right on me, trying to take my whole head into it’s mouth!
When my eyes scanned this beast closely…
“It’s real? It’s real! IT’S REAL!” I panicked as my own voice broke into cries, grabbing the head of this beast from taking my whole head into its mouth!
“NO!” I cried, trying to kick the head of this monster from having me as its meal, but it didn’t budge.
I gave a powerful kick to the chest again, and this sent the wolf staggering off me.
Quickly, I got to my feet to run, only to be swooshed to the wall by a powerful strike to my rib.
My body came clashing on a vase in the dark, shattering it into pieces.
I was in pain.
My ribs were hurting.
“Argon,” I called weakly, trying go get to my feet and run for my dear life.
But once again, I was attacked. I found myself being tossed around like rag, tumbling deep into the dark pathway.
I was filled with fear. My whole body trembled at this Wolf’s strength.
“I need to get out of here!”
Before I could even think of rising to my feet, the wolf pounced on me again, almost taking my head into its mouth!
“ARGON! ARGON! !” I screamed, struggling with the mouth of this monster.
It glared strongly, with its creepy green eyes darting at me while forcing its full strength on me.
I could feel my arms trembling at the weight of this beast!
Is it getting bigger?!
“NO! LEAVE ME!” I yelled dodging its teeth from clasping my head in its mouth.
Sensing the danger I was in, I tried to unleash my wolf at this beast and face it wolf to wolf.
But what it did shocked me.
The moment I was releasing my wolf, this green beast launched it’s big claw at my face, almost taking a slice of me.
And this action drew my wolf back, sending it wincing and hiding in my body, filled with fear!
Terror overwhelmed me at that moment. My own wolf is afraid to come out and fight.
I’m in trouble.
Suddenly, with all it’s strength, this wolf sent my head to the ground with its huge paw, pinning me down.
It’s teeth came larger than before, almost like its height was increasing at my every move.
When I saw this, I cried out, “SOMEBODY HELP! HELP ME!! ARGON!!!”
To my greatest surprise…
“Is that what you call a cry?” The green eyed wolf spoke mockingly, leaving me stunned with a trembling heart.
It’s a she-wolf!
It chuckled deeply, lowering its head down at me, saying, “And I thought you were strong. Seems I was right about you all along. You are a weak, pathetic, puppy. And you will make a nice fit to my collection of dead wolves. ”
“Dead wolves?!” I gasped when I heard that.
It was clear.
I’m going to be killed!
Again, it launched its big mouth at me, trying to bite my head off.
What else could I do at that point?
“HELP!! PLEASE, SOMEBODY!!!” I wept, crying out for help.
My strength was getting weak by the minute. This beast was applying all its weight on me, so I’d give up with my struggles.
No, I can’t give up!
If I do, I’ll be dead!
I won’t see my Argon or get married to him. I can’t die like this!
Goddess, help me!
Just then…
“LUNA ESTELLE!”
“Jerome? JEROME!!” I roared out, calling out to Jerome so he’d hear my cry.
“HELP ME!” I cried, still struggling with this beast.
I could hear more than one footsteps running towards my way.
“Finally, I’m safe. I won’t be killed! Thank you goddess!” I cried, battling with this monster.
Jerome arrived with a flash light along with two other guards. When they showed up, I screamed, “Get this wolf off me! It wants to kill me! ”
“A wolf! ” Jerome uttered, flashing his light to the beast on me.
But when the light came on this monster, I was left astonished.
My fear came vanishing in seconds and I stopped struggling.
“What… What is this?”
What I saw before me was a statue of a wolf, with its mouth opened wide, right on me!
“This can’t be! How did… How…” I was confused.
Jerome and the guards hurriedly lifted the statue off me, putting it back to its normal position.
Still in tremble over what I faced, I crawled to the side, staring at this statue.
“This can’t be possible. What happened to the wolf?” I muttered, watching Jerome and the two guards, as they stepped away from the statue.
The light of the pathway came on, revealing the statue fully. The path where the statue was situated, was exactly the same spot where that wolf had me pinned to the ground.
But I don’t understand.
This doesn’t make sense.
Worried, Jerome faced me and asked, “What happened, Luna? We heard you screaming and came quickly.”
“Jerome, there was… There was a wolf. A big black wolf!” I described, getting to my feet, shaking.
“It was black and huge! It… It came pouncing on me!”
“Luna, calm down. I think it was the statue. Maybe you got scared of the dark and accidentally bumped the statue, causing it to fall on you.”
“No! ” I sparked in anger, refusing to accept Jerome’s words.
“I know what I saw! This was a real wolf. It… It had… It had green eyes! ”
“Green eyes?!” His brow lifted in astonishment, as well as the guards.
“Yes! Green big glowing eyes. They were so scary! It was fixed right at me. And… And the wolf…”
Before I could narrate all that happened, I saw Jerome and the two guards holding back their… Laughter?
“Are you… Laughing at me?” I glared at the trio, who didn’t hesitate to burst out, laughing loudly.
“I’m sorry, Luna Estelle. But a green eyed wolf? That’s iimpossible,” Jerome laughed.
This left me feeling embarrassed. I’m being made fun of by these lowlifes.
No respect!
When they saw my raging eyes, they immediately ceased their laughter trying to compose themselves.
“I know what I saw, Jerome. There’s a wolf in this mansion with green eyes. It’s huge and…”
“Calm down, ” Jerome said, trying to get me under control.
“If you say so, then we’ll check around and get back to you. But I can assure you that there’s no such thing as a green eyed wolf. But we will search, ” He said, smiling with laughter swelling his cheek slowly.
I was annoyed.
They don’t believe me!
In anger, I stormed out of that place, walking out from the scary pathway that almost sent me to my early grave.
But Jerome isn’t wrong. There’s no such thing as a green eyed wolf.
“Was all that my imagination? Did that statue fall on me during the thunder clap and I foolishly assumed it was a green-eyed wolf?” I questioned, getting confused.
I couldn’t even believe my own eyes any more.
“Goodness, is this because of the drink I had? ” I recalled the drink I had taken at the bar stand before making plans to head for Argon’s room.
It was supposed to make me high and crazy when I get into bed with Argon.
“Shit! I’m such a fool. It must have been the drink. Damn!” I groaned, placing my hands on my head.
“No wonder they were laughing at me. Who will hear what I said and believe that story? A green-eyed wolf? Seriously Estelle? Shit! ”
I felt stupid.
Where I stood, Jerome and the guards came to meet me, revealing that they didn’t see any wolf or pick any strange scent.
“There’s no green eyed…”
“Yeah, I know,” I interrupted, feeling ashamed to look at the trio.
“It must have been the drink I had. Seems it went hard on me.”
“Oh, I see. Then it’s best you head to the room and rest,” Jerome suggested.
I nodded, turning back at them, and approaching the stairs.
My own shame wouldn’t allow me to turn around and see their faces.
I’m sure they’re laughing at me again.
“I won’t take that drink ever again. In fact, I’m going to sue that company’s sorry ass for humiliating me like this.”
Quickly, I went up the stairs, hoping to forget all these green-eyed wolf incident.
“Ouch!” I groaned, feeling my left rib aching.
When I took a look, I was stunned to see red bruises healing up!
I was surprised.
That’s when I recalled that I was thrown to a flower vase and tossed around by this imaginary wolf.
“I felt all that pain. Did I hurt myself or… Is that wolf real?” I wondered, turning to look at that pathway.
I don’t know which is true. I just want to forget about that monster.
