I listen to his demand, tightening my grip on his waist before pounding into him as he lets out a small yelp when I hit the spot. I make sure to go at the same angle to keep hitting it as his eyes roll to the back of his head and his toes curl against my skin. I smile as he starts to clench against my dick, telling me that he’s close as am I. My stomach tightens and I pick up my pace, sending him even further from reality as I constantly brush against the sensitive bundle of nerves.
I let out a small whimper as I feel the release coming, leaning down to give him a passionate kiss as his stomach tightens underneath my hand. He lets out a loud groan against my lips as he lets go over both of our chests. I move my mouth down to quickly feel his mark as I release inside of him, loving the loud yell he lets go when I bite down on his skin. I keep moving inside him to ride out my release before collapsing on top of him, lightly kissing his chest.
I missed you, I whisper against his chest.
I missed you too, he tells me, running his hand through my hair before laying his hand on the back of my neck as he lets out a long sigh.
I can still taste the blood in my mouth and I’m immediately reminded of Monica, lying dead on the ground as she thanks me. I jump up, my back hitting the backboard of the bed as panic runs through my body. Kade sits up, reaching out to grab my hand before turning my head to look at him. My chest gets heavy as I stare at him, knowing that I need to tell him what happened, but I don’t want him to hate me for making such a big mistake.
What is it ? He whispers.
As I stare at him, I’m filled with a sense of regret for not paying closer attention to who I was fighting. I wish I could just go back in time and fix my mistake because one of the best people I’ve ever met would still be alive and celebrating with her family on our big win. I turn my head, not able to keep eye contact with the man in front of me. I shake my head, telling him that I can’t tell him what’s going on.
Joey, he whispers, getting my attention. whatever it is, you can tell me.
I killed someone, I say, finding the courage to tell him. The memories of only a few hours ago continue to plague my memory and fill me with a sense of dread.
But isn’t that… he starts, but when he notices my regretful look, his face clears of all confusion he had. He clears his throat, looking down at the hand that holds mine. what happened ?
She was fighting with someone on our side because their eye color was similar to a rogue’s and didn’t seem to notice. When she killed him, I stepped in to get revenge for the man that was just murdered. I fought with her, not realizing who she was and when I weakened her, she shifted and I saw who she was, I tell him, trying to calm down before even more panic comes into my body.
Who was she ?
She’s a guard for me and has been ever since she turned 18, just a few months ago. She had been training for years and was so excited when I gave her the position. Her name was Monica, I whisper to him.
He pulls me into a hug, running his fingers through my hair as he holds me close. It’s okay, you didn’t know who she was at the time. It’s not your fault, okay ? It’s not your fault.
I bury my face in his shoulder, grateful that he didn’t think of me as a monster for what had happened out in the field. He ushered me into a laying position before covering me with the blanket as my panic starts to lower at the fact that he didn’t think I did anything wrong even if I thought so. I held my arms out for him and he buried himself in them, pressing soft kisses to my chest as I took in more of his scent to ease my wolf.
Thank you, I whisper.
Of course, he tells me, pulling the blanket over his shoulder as he closes his eyes as he gets comfortable on my chest. I run my hands up-and-down his back, making goosebumps appear on his skin as he lets out a sigh.
I love you, my fiance, I tell him.
I love you too, my fiance.
Kade’s POV
I stand in the courtyard with my sister and Melissa, staring at the people who were laying out the white chairs on the grass for all the pack members and family that were coming to the wedding today. The flowers got here about an hour ago and they were beautiful along with the white tent that was going to be used for the private reception for our guests.
I hadn’t seen Joey at all today since he had decided that he wanted to do the whole ‘don’t see each other before at the alter’ because his mom talked him into it. It kinda sucked because I couldn’t wait to see him in the gray and maroon suit that we were wearing. Right now, he was in one of the guest houses with best man, Cody, and the rest of his groomsmen (Blaine, Taylor, Giovanni, and Samuel) and Luna, who he picked to be his only groomsmaid.
I took up the quarter house with my groomsmaids, them being Tyler, Rebecca who was my friend from my old town, and Mackenzie who helped choreograph the final dance routine with me and I became really close with. Isaac was my only groomsmen and was walking with Luna down the aisle. Melissa and Emilie were my maid-of-honors and had basically helped me plan the entire wedding, which I was entirely grateful for since I wouldn’t have been able to do this by myself.
Come on, you gotta get dressed, Emilie says, linking arms with me before ushering me back into the quarter house that was filled with many people. Tyler’s mom was doing everyone’s makeup since she was pretty good at that and Lila was in charge of ironing Joey and I’s clothes since we were too incapable of doing that apparently.
Imara, do you mind doing Kade’s hair ? Melissa asks Tyler’s mom who was looking through her makeup kit for something.
Oh, I would love to, she says with her slight Kenyan accent, patting the chair for me to sit. I walk over to her, giving her a smile as she pulls out some hair gel and spray. any particular way ?
However you think would look good, I tell her, knowing nothing about how I wanted to look for the day. She gives me a smile before running her fingers through my hair to see how long it is as Lila comes to stand behind me.
She had been very emotional today, which was completely understandable. I mean, her only son was getting married in the exact spot that she got married before he was born, it was pretty amazing. Since Lila and Conner got married by Elder Collins, we decided that we wanted to do the exact thing and make it a thing. I just hoped that one day, Joey and I’s kid would do the same thing.
Hey, don’t let all your tears out now, alright ? We need those cute pictures of you crying when you walk Joey down the aisle, I tease her and she giggles, lightly hitting my shoulder as she watched what Imara was doing.
Oh, shut up.
Do you like it ? I hear Melissa say and turn my head to see her dressed in the black halter dress that I had picked out for the girls to wear while the boys would wear a simple black suit with a black shirt maroon tie.
I nod my head, speechless as I saw her in the dress. I was suddenly hit with the realization that this was actually happening and this wasn’t just some dream that I had made up in my head. I turn my head, trying not to cry so early in the day since that seemed so lame to me. Everyone in the room awed and I chuckled, hastily wiping my eyes as Melissa comes over to give me a quick hug.
Sorry, I tell them, wiping my hands on my sweatpants as Imara continues to work on my hair. I watch her hands move as she decides what she wants to do while everyone else starts to get dressed. Emilie comes over to sit next to me and give me some company, asking me some things just so she’s prepared for what’s about to happen.
