“Who are you? Why are you here?”
Outside the door, Old Chen’s slightly anxious voice rang out. Rosiley darted a look at Sachin and then said, “Sachin, go take a look, in case Old Chen is confused.”
As Old Chen and the doctor were about to reach the room, they had seen a male stranger standing at the door. They were startled and worried that something had happened to Rosiley, so they trotted over.
Once they approached him, they began questioning him.
Then, the male stranger—Lane—got stunned. If the elderly gentleman was questioning him like that, he knew that he must think he was a bad guy.
Thus, he immediately explained. “Mister, I’m not a bad guy. I’m just…”
Before he finished, the door behind him opened. He turned his head around and saw his boss coming out. Instantly, as if he had seen his savior, he hurriedly said, “Mr. Lu, please help me explain to the gentlemen that I’m not a bad guy.”
Sachin looked at the helpless Lane and then at Old Chen.
Old Chen was also staring at him with furrowed eyebrows. Why did he look so familiar?
Then, he suddenly opened his eyes wide. “Isn’t that… isn’t he…?”
When he noticed Old Chen’s surprise, Sachin slightly raised his lips and calmly said, “Yes, I’m Sachin.”
“It’s really him!”
Other than surprise, Old Chen also felt doubt. He was wondering why Sachin would appear here.
He looked inside the room and then at Sachin. He asked tentatively, “You’re here to see Rosiley?”
“Yes, I’m here to visit her.” Sachin nodded slightly.
Old Chen cocked one eyebrow and looked at Sachin with a question in his eyes.
He had thought it strange that Sachin would agree to cooperate with Group. After all, Thunderbolt Entertainment Group was such a big enterprise. How could it work easily with the insignificant Group?
Nevertheless, looking at it now, he realized that things were not simple.
After the doctor’s exam, Rosiley knew that she had only hurt her back and that there was no other injury.
That had finally eased Sachin’s mind.
After the doctor left, Rosiley looked awkwardly at Sachin and then at Old Chen.
She thought for a while and compressed her lips in a smile. She pointed at Sachin to introduce him to Old Chen. “Uncle Chen, this is REG CEO who agreed to work with Group, Sachin.”
Old Chen nodded. “I know.”
Though Sachin seldom appeared in public, people could still recognize him. Therefore, Rosiley felt it kind of unnecessary to introduce him like that.
She compressed her lips tightly and glanced at the indifferent-looking Sachin. She took a deep breath and smiled at Old Chen, “Uncle Chen, actually, he has another identity.”
“What is that?” Old Chen quietly looked at her. His wise eyes seemed able to see through people’s hearts.
Rosiley inhaled deeply. “Actually… he… is my husband.”
Old Chen got stunned. “Husband?”
“Yes. We’ve been married for a few months.”
Things indeed were not simple.
Now, the strange cooperation between Thunderbolt Entertainment Group and Group made sense.
Old Chen sized Sachin up with a serious face, like a father-in-law looking at his son-in-law.
Undeniably, Sachin was an excellent man. He was handsome, tall, and he exuded elegance. Just one glance, and Chen could tell he was not just some ordinary guy.
Though he was outstanding, Rosiley was not bad either. When the two were together, they really kind of looked like a match made in heaven. They were fit for each other.
Old Chen smiled satisfactorily and turned his head to say, “Rosiley, you have good judgment.”
Rosiley smiled shyly. She knew she had good judgment as well, because she had been the one to propose to him.
