Chapter 514: I Must Kill You!

Book:Fallen Heir Rising Published:2024-9-7

At the Flower Sea Mountain Combat Arena, the western sky was a blend of white clouds, clearly layered under the setting sun’s glow.
Competitors from various Miao Villages stood in different directions around the Combat Arena. Each village had sent four or five young men, including members of their Guard Squads, totaling around forty to fifty people.
Each held a Miao Blade, while others wielded large knives, long spears, iron rods, bows, arrows, iron chains, and other deadly weapons.
The Black Miao Village had sent Beckett and his subordinates, all of whom were burly.
Beckett’s expression was icy and his eyes were blood-red and fierce, making him look like a terrifying demon.
The White Miao Village had also sent several young Guard Squad members. Quentin entered the Combat Arena last, causing an uproar among the crowd. Cheers and applause thundered through the air.
Quentin had continuously defeated Beckett, overcoming numerous obstacles and astonishing everyone with his skills. Everyone was eager to see if he could make a stunning impact in this final battle and win the Clans’ Big Game at the Flower Sea Festival.
Quentin joined the White Miao Village’s camp, where the young Guard Squad members greeted him with respect. Quentin’s strength commanded their admiration and reverence.
“Webb, did you forget to bring a weapon? Should we get one for you now? Which weapon do you prefer?” The young Guard Squad members were surprised to see Quentin empty-handed.
“No need. My hands and feet are enough,” Quentin replied calmly.
The young Guard Squad members were embarrassed. Although Quentin was indeed powerful, this seemed overly arrogant. After all, this was a chaotic battle, not a one-on-one duel!
“Damn it! Did you notice Webb isn’t carrying any weapons?”
“Did he forget? No matter how skilled you are, you still need a knife!”
“This is too confident. Does he really not fear death?”
“Maybe he’ll win barehanded again!”
The audience was equally astonished by Quentin’s lack of weapons.
In the Chieftain Base Camp:
“Wizard Eric, Quentin is unarmed. He might be in danger!” Rodney said worriedly.
“Rodney, just watch. Don’t you know his abilities by now?” Wizard Eric replied calmly.
At this moment, Wesley sneered and said, “Hmph, it’s a pity to kill such a talent, but you’ll pay for your arrogance!”
“Blame yourself for offending the Black Miao Village’s dignity!”
In the Combat Arena, the referee approached Quentin to confirm several times whether he was sure about not using any weapons. Quentin remained resolute.
For Quentin, dealing with these ordinary Miao Men required no weapons; even one hand would suffice.
Moreover, he didn’t intend to kill anyone unless provoked.
Seeing Quentin’s determination, Beckett couldn’t help but tremble with excitement and disdainfully sneered, “Hmph, since you’re so arrogant, I’ll torture you slowly until you wish you were dead!”
After confirming with Quentin, the referee went to the host platform and announced:
“Competitors, get ready. Remember, friendship first, competition second. Do not intentionally harm others! Injured participants can voluntarily withdraw and be escorted out by support staff!”
Clearly, this was just a formal statement before the match; few competitors took it seriously.
“Understood!” The competitors responded.
“Now, let the martial arts competition begin!”
At the referee’s command, the competitors started moving and forming formations. Two opposing forces emerged.
On one side were Quentin and others from White Miao Village along with Khan from Red Miao Village, and members from Yellow Miao Village and Blue Miao Village.
On the other side were Beckett and others from Black Miao Village, along with members from Purple Miao Village, Green Miao Village, and Pink Miao Village.
On paper, Beckett’s side had the advantage in both numbers and strength. The other Miao Villages on Beckett’s side were all under Black Miao Village’s influence. Quentin’s side consisted of villages that had deep grudges against Black Miao Village.
“Six Miao Villages against four. It’s hard to say who will win, but overall Beckett’s side seems more likely.”
“Not necessarily. The other side isn’t weak either, especially Webb who always surprises.”
“But this is a chaotic battle, not a solo duel. Let’s wait and see,” the audience discussed.
“Webb, barehanded? Can’t find a suitable weapon? Want me to send you one?” Beckett mocked.
“For you, my bare hands are enough,” Quentin replied calmly.
Beckett laughed maniacally, his face twisted with disdain as he said:
“Very well! Let’s see how long your arrogance lasts when you’re at death’s door!”
“Everyone attack! I must kill you today!”
