31-Paint.
Andy POV.
“Guess what dad got me!” Arianna asks me in the morning.
“Uhmmm… a daddy?” I ask her, he might just do it.
“Funny, he said no to that, instead he got me paint supplies!” She says all excited, we always colour, daddy’s office is filled with my drawings, what’s so special about it this time.
“Okay” I say not really getting why she’s so happy about this.
“You’ll see” she says dragging me to the playroom, on our usual tea party table sat full art supplies, paint of all colours along with brushes, glitter and papers.
“Now you see!” She says, she’s right, I usually get pencils or crayons, we never get paint like this.
“How did you get this?” I ask her, is this an early birthday gift or something.
“I was good! You know they actually love me!” She says, of course they love her, I knew that but she’s also a big brat most of the time.
“You’re the best Ari!” I say going to give her a hug, she hugs me back before going back to her new toys.
We started with the papers, we’re good kids who doesn’t like spankies, but that doesn’t last long, Ari was running out of place to paint, while I was just happy trying all the colours, my favourite being green!
“You okay here kids?” Ari’s papa came to check on us, seeing all of our painting, praising both of us for good work.
“Papa, I need more space” she demands, while I on the other hand only needed more brushes, the one I have aren’t good enough.
“Stay on papers or dad would take your gift away” he warns her kissing the top of her head.
“You need anything Andy?” He asks me next, I just shrug and say thank you keeping on with my painting.
“You can use your fingers if you want, but no eating them and no getting them on Arianna” he says out loud before getting closer to me, whispering in my ear.
“She’ll throw a fit if you do” he gives me a heads up, making me chuckle.
“Ari,” I say after a while, of painting on the paper, I’ve just made the greenest forest ever.
“Yeah?” She says paying more attention to her painting making sure to stay in the lines.
“Can you make me into a puppy?” I ask her, wanting to be an animal like her.
“Puppy?” She asks raising a brow at me, she sounds like daddy now.
“Yes, like you” I say, she’s always a different animal.
“I have wolf ears, and I can paint you face” she suggests, I didn’t know we can paint our faces.
“We can do that?” I ask her all excited, I didn’t know we can do that, she just nods yes, and take off running towards her room to get me the ears and tail hopefully.
I kept drawing with my fingers, trying to make my picture to look pretty like hers.
“I back!” She announces coming back with the ear and tail making me supper happy.
“You have to wash your hands first” she says noticing my dirty fingers, I nod yes and run out, but I don’t know where the nearest bathroom is, I only know the one in our room, instead I decided to clean my hands over my clothes, wiping them mostly clean, and running back inside the playroom.
“Clean” I say showing Ari, they were mostly clean and dry now.
Ari fixed the ears on my head, it was a hair band, then clipped the tail to my clothes, finally I sat down to get my face painted, she took her time but the brush made me giggle every time it touched my face.
“Hold still” she says trying to paint my face again with me moving back and forth.
“You done?” I ask her, she’s taking forever.
“Almost there” she answer me, going back to the painting.
“Done!” She says, I jump up wanting to see, Ari had a small princess mirror, I looked up at myself and I did look like a wolf, she made my face all grey with moustache and the black button nose.
“My turn!” I say, wanting to draw on her face too.
“Nu!” She says and take off running out of the room, naturally I took off after her, only to be stopped by her dad, uncle James.
“Why are you running?” He asks her.
“He wants to draw on my face” she says crying, Ari never cries, that made me begin to cry too.
“Why’s my little…. wolf crying?” Daddy asking, taking him a second to guess what I am.
“Ari…” I say more tears going down on their own, she’s mad at me now, she hates me.
“It’s okay, Ari is right here, my pretty wolf” he says assuring me it’s all okay.
