Simon POV.
After our morning adventure in the bathroom, Saint was feeling extra shy, she ran out of the room, she spent more time with AJ and Lucas and I didn’t mind that, she can do that, spend time with my right hand and brother and the traitor who’s in our house against my will.
“What’s up with the traitor?” I ask Lucas, he’s the one who kept an eye on what they send to Elijah and everything that AJ does in this house along with the work he does for us.
“They didn’t send Elijah anything, well nothing we didn’t allow them to, he’s a good backup, most families are terrified of us knowing that we have some of the vampires in our back,” Lucas says and I rolled my eyes at him, I knew that much.
“And?” I ask him what else has he done.
“Not much, he’s a good man, he’s a good worker, but there must be a reason he sold us out to Elijah, to begin with,” Lucas says, still believing in his friend.
“And now, you think that he won’t sell us again?” I ask him, I’m pretty sure that he sold us once and he’ll sell us again, and again.
“I have no idea,” Lucas says, we don’t guarantee his loyalties, but we know he’s a good man as long as keep tabs on him.
“Fine, what else do we have? I know I’ve been sick for three days, but I’m ready to get back to work,” I say, feeling the itch to get back to work, after this morning’s relief, I’m ready to get back to our work.
“We have a meeting tonight, news that your wife has shot Jack out, everyone fears her, and most people want to meet her, I think you have made her your match after all,” Lucas says with a big smile on his face.
“I’m forced to work with her, she’s still a cheater, wipe that smile away,” I scold my friend.
“I’ll wipe it away when you confess that you love her,” Lucas says.
“I don’t love her,” I say with an eye roll, I don’t think that I love her, I think I’m falling for her, I think I love having her around, I think I love her taking care of me, sleeping in my bed, her body, and seeing her in my clothes, everything she does or do is something I love and I’m falling for.
“Sure, you don’t, we have a meeting tonight,” Lucas says, and I nod, a meeting I can get along with that, it’s been three days, and I’m over staying at home.
“Bring the wife, it’ll be nice to have her along,” Lucas says and I glared at him, I think he’s the one who’s in love with Saint here.
“Fine, tell her to get ready,” I say asking Lucas to tell her to get ready, I have a million papers to do in my office.
“Will do,” Lucas agrees, leaving the room, and leaving me to the papers.
I stayed in the office most of the day, I even had my lunch in my office leaving Saint with the other two guys, when I was ready to go, I left my office and called them over.
“Saint, Lucas, Traitor,” I call them all three, by their appropriate names of course.
“Coming,” Lucas says coming in with the traitor after him.
“Where’s Saint?” I ask them and they both shared a look, not knowing where she’s at.
“Saint,” I call out loud, getting her attention, she walked down the stairs slowly, and the first thing I saw was her heels, higher than what she usually goes for, followed by her legs, long and smooth, and finally a black dress, a very small number, one that I would never approve off, I wasn’t the one who bought her that dress, I directly looked at Lucas.
“Wow she looks hot,” he says.
“Who got her that dress?” I ask him.
“You showed her how to shop online,” Lucas says with a shrug.
“How do I look?” she asks coming toward me, she looked hot, of course, she did, but that should be kept in our bedroom, I don’t want to share her with anyone, not while looking like this.
“Go change,” I order her, and she looked at me with big wide eyes.
“Why?” she asks sounding hurt now.
“Because that dress is too short, go change,” I order her again.
“It’s not that short,” she says sounding defensive.
“It’s short enough that I don’t agree for you to get out of the house looking like that,” I scold her.
“I’m not a child, I can wear what I want,” she says.
“No, and that’s my final word,” I say in a cold voice.
“I’m not going to change, I’m going just like this, or I won’t be going, I’m surrounded by a mafia boss, his best man, and AJ, no one would dare look at me the wrong way, unless if you don’t trust yourself enough,” she say with a manipulative smile on her face, she knew too well what she’s doing here.
“Fine, let’s move, but if I kill anyone tonight, it’ll be on your hands,” I growl, we’re late but good thing I’m the boss, everyone would be waiting for me and I won’t have to wait for anyone.
“You won’t kill anyone, no one would even bother looking at me, girls in your club wear almost nothing, and some of them wear nothing, and if you remember I used to work there,” she says reminding me of her history.
“Back then you weren’t my wife and my partner,” I say in a growl, it’s different when she belongs to me, and when she’s mine, I don’t want anyone looking at her, she’s all mine.
