A COUPLE OF YEARS LATER.
Seth POV.
“Uncle, I’m big boy, I promise,” I assure my uncle Mathew, he was always my father figure, always there for me, but sometimes I just want to be big and get away from them.
“I’m not sure,” uncle Mathew says.
“Pleaaaaaassseeee!” I beg with him, I can’t believe I’m begging him for this, but I’m, I’m begging to be allowed to go to high school.
A wolf pup means I take forever to grow up, and that means I take a long time to be allowed to go off to high school, and after so many years of being homeschooled and trained, I finally got the chance to get to a real school.
“Fine, you can go, but…” he says, the but is if I don’t feel good if I get overwhelmed I have to call them right away to come and get me, I can’t stay the whole day, and if I feel like wolfing someone’s head off, I can’t do it.
“Okay, okay! Promise!” I assure him, knowing all the rules already, he just nods his head yes, I finally get to go to a real school.
Uncle Nathaniel helped me buy clothes, and uncle Nicholas gave me a whole talk on how to act around everyone, we’re not sure if I’m gama yet, but I might be able to find a mate of my own.
“I go too,” the kitten says ready to go to school too, everyone agreed on not sending her there, including me, but the only way to get her to not go, is by sending her for the day, we’re going to have our first day at school together.
“Yes, get ready, school starts tomorrow,” I tell her, we’ll have to sleep early tonight, she always sleeps early, but for me, it’s going to be a hard task for me.
I kept shifting in the bed, I couldn’t sleep, I even thought about going to sleep in one of my uncle’s bed, but that would show them what a baby I’m, not that I’m becoming big and adult, I’ll be a baby and won’t be allowed to go to school tomorrow, and if I don’t go, Kitten wouldn’t want to go either.
After much much turning, checking my phone, and listening to music, I finally fell asleep, but I hardly had time to sleep before I had to wake up and get ready, my tiredness was all forgotten knowing that I’ll be going to school.
I wore the clothes that we chose, me and my uncles and made sure they don’t make me look too bad, too nerdy or too excited, although I’m all of those, but we can’t show how much I wanted it yet. I got dressed in those clothes and got ready for the day, making sure to style my hair and add a couple of sprays of perfume, humans enjoy perfume, although it covers our natural scent.
“Kitten, are you ready?” I call out, she’s still a brat, but after spending years together and having my bum handed to me by my uncles for calling her mean names, I learned how to be nice to her, for the safety of my own bum.
“Ready!” she yells and comes toward me, all ready, her tail was hidden under her skirt, and her earls were hidden with a hair band, making her ears look like they were fake and slipped on.
“Say bye-bye,” I tell her ready to leave the house with her, a car was waiting for us, one of the pack mates is taking us to the school along with the rest of the pack members who were ready for school, it’s only four in total, and kitten is only coming for the day.
“Ready?” I ask her, holding her hand walking toward the school, toward our first class of the day.
And honestly, I couldn’t be any happier I was enjoying the school so much, I didn’t even want to go home, I wasn’t a nerd of anything, I was just happy about spending time with other kids my age, talking to them, even sitting at class felt amazing after being homeschool by my uncles who’d beat my ass for misbehaving.
By the end of the day, we had to get back home, the same way we got here, I had the biggest stupidest smile on my face.
“Kitten,” Uncle Mathew calls after his baby as she threw her bag on the ground and took her tail out, I offered to help her into the bathroom, and change her, but she refused to allow me to, instead she said she’ll hold it.
“I hate school!” she yells at the whole house, I had to hold my laugh back, she didn’t enjoy the math class at all.
“Don’t you want to go back?” Zane asks her.
“Nu-uh!” she says hissing at all of us, some things never changed, not even years later.
