Zane POV.
“I nu want it,” the little kitten whines, it’s been a week since the falling incident and we’ve been doing our best to keep Iris and Seth separated for now, every time they meet in the same place, a fight would happen.
“Come on little kitten, it’s bedtime,” Nick says helping me out with her, she hissed at him, she never hisses at us, only at Mathew, but now she’s hissing at us as well.
“Little kitten, better behave,” Nathaniel warns her, yes it takes all three of us to put her to bed, and it doesn’t work most days, I miss the days when she’d just fall asleep on her own, but now it’s all hands on deck until we manage to get her to sleep.
“Hisss,” she hisses at him, when Nathaniel growled at her, she threw her bottle at his head, it was very funny for a minute, but she’s in deep trouble with him now.
Nathaniel pulls her toward him, landing a slap on her diapered bottom, she looked at him with teary eyes, he didn’t slap her that hard, but she didn’t expect it, I knew that much.
“Stop it, now get to sleep,” he ordered her, but that wasn’t going to work, this whole firm attitude only made her cry some more, she took her bottle out of his hand, then took her blanket and left the room, leaving all three of us stunned.
“You’re in trouble,” Nick teases his twin, he was right, he’s in trouble with the alpha, we’re all sure it’s where she’s going, our thought was assured when we felt the alpha’s anger course through our bond.
“He’s going to kill us,” I say out loud, she’s the only thing that’s keeping the alpha happy right now, and we’re making her sad, he’ll have his revenge over our bums for sure.
“I’m going to check on Seth,” I say the whole house has been living through tension since the last falling incident, although I apologized to Seth for being yelled at, but the little man can hold a grudge.
“Hey little man,” I say going in his room, I did knock before I opened the door, although he didn’t answer, and I went in.
His bed was empty, as was the bathroom, the window seat, the closet, and even under the bed he wasn’t in here, but he went to bed saying he was tired but he wasn’t in here, great, Seth is at the age of sneaking off?
“Seth,” I say out loud, great, just great!
“Guys, Seth sneaked out,” I call the twins, the alpha got the kitten, and we’ll deal with the older brat. We left the house in a hurry, sending our alpha a mental message about where we were going, we all shifted, it’s easier to track him while in wolf form, easier than following him in human form.
We started to track him down since he doesn’t drive, he needs his wolf form to get anywhere from the house, no party would be thrown this close to the alpha’s house, they’ll need to go down deeper and away from the ears and eyes of all the dominant.
‘I smell the alcohol,’ Nathaniel says through our bond, the younger wolves, they can get drunk if they drink enough and most of them do try.
‘His arse is mine,’ Nicholas says, I wouldn’t get in their way of disciplining him for sneaking out and drinking, if he asked first, he would be able to go, with a curfew and no alcohol allowed, no wonder he tried his luck with sneaking out, but he lives with the top three of the royal pack, doe he really expects us not to notice him missing.
As we got closer to the party, I could hear the music and see the attendant, most of them would be grounded by the end of the night, but my eyes were locked on our boys, and our nephews, we’re not blood-related but we are siblings.
I growled and moved toward the middle of the clearance getting every puppy’s attention, most of them dropped their drinks on the floor, trying to hide that they are drinking, my eyes stayed focused on him, he looked guilty, which he was.
Between the three of us, we managed to push him back home, he wasn’t happy with the puppy treatment he was getting, by the time we got away from everyone, he decided to share his displeasure with us.
“You can’t treat me like a puppy or baby, you got Iris to treat that way, not me I’m old now,” he whines.
‘Wait till we get home, I’ll show what being a child mean,’ Nick warns him.
“Uncle Nick, I just wanted to spend some fun time,” he whines, he pulled back really quickly.
‘Shut it,’ he warns him on the way home.
