William POV.
I didn’t have a real plan, all I knew and had in mind was coming over to Eve’s place, talking to her trying to tell her to give me a second chance, but what if she asked me for more again? What if my love wasn’t enough for her again, I groaned and whined, I’ll have to talk her into it, I’ll have to tell her that it’s going to be fine, that being with me is going to be okay.
I went to the school as I knew she was there, I told them that I was over for a general visit, no one knew why I was going there but I was, the first place I visited when I got there was Eve’s class, I took place in the back of her class, I saw her talking to her students, she’s one of the best teachers out there, she knew the perfect match of sub and dom.
I watched the students turn to me, whispering to each other as they looked at me, but I kept my eyes on her until the little one, the youngest girl that we had so far, the one that Eve warned me to let her be, she claimed her as her own, she’s taking care of that other girl.
I talked to the little one, I said hello and she answered me, she was careful, but seeing how the other students acted around her, how they all just wanted to talk to her, to touch her, I had a feeling that she wasn’t too hard to deal with. Then Evelyn called her little one, made her sit down so she’d stop distracting the rest of the students, when the class was over I decided to get up and talk to her, to tell her something, I wasn’t sure what I’m going to say, I haven’t seen her in years, she looks as beautiful as ever, I swear every time I see her she gets more beautiful.
“Excuse me, sir William,” one of the students stopped me, I wanted to be polite, they thought I was here to talk to them, but no one knew that I was here just for Evelyn, I stayed in my place and talked to them, I nodded away, I answered like I’m expected to answer, it’s not the best job out there but I need to be a good politician and stand up and talk to people when needed.
“Excuse me,” I say walking toward Evelyn but she wasn’t there, maybe the little one had some trouble, or maybe she needed a change and that’s why they left, but I’ll be able to catch her in her next class.
“Hello,” I say to Nicholas, another old vampire, one who enjoys being a teacher, he’s not very good at dealing with others but when it comes to teaching he’s one of the best out there.
“Sir William, hello, what do you think of our school so far?” Nicholas asks.
“It’s good so far, I see everything is under control, what about the other teacher? What do you think of them?” I ask him.
“They are perfect, Logan knew how to pick,” Nicholas says.
“I have an old friend who works in here, Evelyn, do you know where I can find her?” I asked him and he gave me a knowing look.
“Evelyn, she’s in her classes, if not she’s in her little’s classes, if not they might be up in their room, the little one has been very jumpy lately,” Nicholas says.
“I’ll go check on them then,” I say with a small smile, I need to find her, I needed to find her, it’s why I’m here for real, I went to the little classes, I checked all the available one but didn’t find them, I checked with the administration and got her apartment number, they live in school property, it’s not the life he imagined for Evelyn but it’s the job she picked and she decided to live full time here. I wasn’t sure if she just picked this job to stay in here, to get away from me was it her real passion, did she wanted to even be here or if was all a decision made of anger and hurt.
I knocked on her door, I waited for her to open the door but she didn’t, I ended up breaking in, it wasn’t a real breaking and entering since I used a pin and pocket knife to open the door, I had my own history, and not many people knew about it. I walked inside the apartment, it was tidy and clean, typical of Eve’s place but she wasn’t here, I kept on searching for her, I spent my whole morning trying to find her, or maybe find her little, but nothing, they have disappeared.
“Logan,” I say with a tight smile trying to hide the fact that I’m furious, where did she go?
“Sir,” Logan says with a matching smile on his face.
“Where did Evelyn go Logan?” I asked him in a cold voice, I was done playing games.
“She took some days off,” Logan answers me and I lose it, I wanted her she was so close to me and now she’s gone again.
Dylan was called, and he followed me, he came here to stop me from doing anything insane, but what would I do? It’s not like I can go crazy and yell at people for the missing Evelyn, even if I did it, I wasn’t allowed to do it, I tried my best to keep it down but I was simmering with anger.
“I want to find her, I need her,” I yell at my brother.
“And then what?” he asks me, giving me a look that said so what?
“I don’t know, she’ll be back with me, I’ll take good care of her, I’ll be there for her and she’ll be there for me,” I say.
“Stop it, William, don’t be so stupid,” he scolds me.
“What?” I ask him, not sure what he meant.
“She wants love, she wants forever if all you’re going to offer her is some playtime, you’re wasting your time and hers,” Dylan scolds me.
“You don’t know that,” I say, playing was enough for her for years.
“I do know that, either make her your mate or let her be,” Dylan scolded me.
“I can’t do that,” I say.
“Then I won’t tell you where they went, let her be, let her have her life,” Dylan says and it hurts, just thinking about losing her, I couldn’t do that, I couldn’t survive that.
“Dylan, I need her,” I say again.
“Make her your mate,” Dyaln scolded me.
“I can’t,” I yell at my brother.
“Stop being an idiot, make her your mate, make them both yours or let them be,” he yells at me.
“I can’t what if I hurt her, what if I was a bad mate for them, what if they don’t want me?” I asked him, I was terrified of her refusing me, rejecting me, not loving me back, while I adored her.
“She wants you, they both want you, go and tell them so,” he scold me.
“I can’t…” I say terrified.
“Why are you so scared? You weren’t scared when it was time to take over the world, when we had a whole ass army, why are you scared now? She’s the one you always wanted, make her yours,” Dylan says, he’s the one who’s being logical here while I’m still terrified.
“Where do I find them?” I ask him, losing the battle, if making her my mate is what it takes to get her back, I’ll do it, I shouldn’t be scared of having a mate, I’m the fucking boss, why am I so scared?
“They’re in the new farm project,” Dylan says with a smile.
“Why there?” I ask him in disbelief.
“They needed some time off,” Dylan answers me.
“I’m going,” I say getting up ready to go and find them, but Dylan stopped me again, he told me to give them at least a day to get settled before I followed them and ruined their vacation, it wasn’t ruining if all I’m doing was joining them.
I followed them the next day, I used the excuse of being their horse guy, I just needed to get close to them, but then the welcome I got was nothing I had ever imagined, kicked, bitten, and yelled at, but right now I’m looking at Evelyn right in the eyes.
“What are you doing here?” she asks me.
“I want you back,” I say honestly.
“I’m not up for playing anymore,” she answered me.
“I’m not here for playing,” I assure her, it’s going to be the real thing this time.
“That’s all you want William, you play, you spend time, and then you move on,” she says hitting a nail right into my heart.
“Evelyn, you wanted forever? You wanted love right?” I asked her and she gave me an unamused look.
“Are you here to make fun of me?” she asks me in a cold voice.
“I’m not making fun of you Eve, I’m here to do what I should have done years ago,” I answer her.
“And what’s that William? Breaking my heart all over again?” she asks me sounding hurt, I couldn’t see her like that, I couldn’t take the hurt in her eyes, I pulled her toward me, I crashed her chest to mine and kissed her, a deep kiss filled with all the emotions I had inside of me, I loved her still, I adored that girl and I couldn’t take a no, not again.
“No William, we’re not doing this again,” she says trying to push me off her.
“I want forever Evelyn, I should’ve told you so years back, I want you,” I try to explain to her.
“But it’s too late now William, I’m not alone anymore,” she says meaning the little one.
“I want you both then, she’s your little? She can be ours, we can share,” I promise her.
“Even if I said yes William, I’m not leaving her behind, and she doesn’t like you,” Evelyn says.
“Then let me win her over, I made a mistake, I should’ve been there for you, I shouldn’t have been such a jerk with my head in my ass, I should have told you that I want you to be my mate years back, many years back,” I try to explain to her.
“She can’t take a heart break,” Evelyn says.
“I won’t break her heart, give me a chance,” I beg her.
“You got this one chance and if Kitkat says no, you’re out,” she warns me, so I have to win the little one approval to win her back.
“By the end of the week you’ll both be mine,” I promise her and she just gives me a smile, one of those I dare you smile that I missed so much.
