Adriel’s Point of View:
“Ah ah ah ah!” I burst into laughter, looking at my clown of a father who had just spoken to me with an authoritative voice. “Are you using the tone I think you are using?” I asked with a grimace on my face, when my laughter died down.
“How dare you, Adriel? Have you forgotten I am your father?” Adrien yelled at me furiously, and turned to look at my mother, hoping she would support him, but my mother paid no attention to him, her gaze was fixed on the dish in front of her.
“Oh, you are right. Aww, sorry, I must have forgotten, old man.” I replied with a fake remorseful face. “Oh, I think I forgot when I found out you like to lay your seed in every lady you meet,” I continued, smiling menacingly at him, and my father blinked his eyes in shock.
“What are you saying, boy? Are you accusing me of infidelity?” Adrien mumbled with a cracking voice as he stared at me, and I flashed him a cunning smirk.
“Oh, of course not Papi, have you forgotten that you are my father? How in the world will I accuse you of such? Oh, except you are feeling guilty of something?” I continued with a soft menacing voice, and my smile immediately faded into an evil expression.
The other people at the table looked at us curiously, no one bothered to intervene. This angered my father, and he knew he would be roasted if the news of his numerous mistresses got out.
“Fine, I will leave this dining room for you. I have endured your insults long enough!” Adrien clenched his fists, squeezed his face, and turned to leave the table, thinking I would beg him to sit down, but I rolled my eyes at him.
“Sit down, Adrien! I haven’t given you the permission to stand up yet.” My mother didn’t shout or scream out her lungs, her voice was gentle but filled with authority. She didn’t look at him, her eyes were still fixed on her food.
Adrien wanted to defile her orders, but the consequences were too much for him to bear, so he covered his face in shame and sat down back on his seat.
Roselian gave him a taunting smile, and Lola looked really proud of her mother.
“Logan, you will join this mission, I want improvement and good news. I guess we’ve been too caught up in other things that we’ve forgotten about the shadow hunters and rogue vampires.
After my birthday this weekend, your father’s mother and aunty Faya are coming to pay us a visit. I have also contacted the other elderly vampires, and I was informed that the shadow hunters are not only after the rogue vampires but after us as well.
So we will need to strategize and prepare for battle. I have called your other cousins and siblings, and they informed me that in Saga City, vampires are getting killed daily, so Adriel, after my birthday, you, Lola and Logan will travel to Saga City to check how badly the vampires are doing.
While the rest of the gang will work on finding the keeper’s daughter. And for the record, Liam will be partnering with Philious and the boys. And no objections!” My mother explained with a husky voice, and Liam and Logan looked like they wanted to refuse her instructions, but the look on her face was intimidating.
“But Lady Quinn, I can not partner with Adriel, much less Lola.” Logan deadpanned and stood up, ready to defile my mother’s instructions.
“Okay, fine. But if that’s the case, I will remove your name from every property I own, and your mother will be stripped of all her titles!” Quinn Lupa, my able mother said to Logan, a broad smile on her face. Rose was shocked, and she immediately cautioned Logan.
“He will follow Adriel and Lola, don’t pay any attention to his words and don’t take away our share!” Rose said with a slyly voice and turned to look at Logan, who reluctantly nodded his head and sat down.
I couldn’t help but wonder why my mother wanted me to go on a trip with Logan, but on seeing the mischievous smirk on her face, and the way she was smiling one-sidedly, I knew she had some evil agenda up her sleeves, and I couldn’t help but anticipate for what is going to happen next.
Lola and my mother shared a quick glance, a smile on their faces.
Dinner continued, but the once lively atmosphere was now a tense and eerie one, as everyone was lost in their thoughts.
….
Author’s Point of View:
“I sense trouble, and since your mother is coming, things might turn out pretty bad.” Edward, the late Thomas elder brother murmured thoughtfully to the figure hiding in the dark.
The room they were in was pretty dark, but one could see the dead bodies laying on the floor.
“Huh, I know Quinn is planning something evil, but I can’t seem to place my hands on it. Moreover, her stupid children, especially Adriel, are up to something. We must strike after the birthday, before something else comes up.” The figure’s melancholic voice cut through the darkness, and he clicked his tongue on his teeth.
“Do you have a plan?” Edward asked suspiciously, his eyes glimmering in the dark.
“I do, and it involves killing a lot of shadow hunters. Also, you know just how much my mother hates Quinn. I am sure once we play our cards right, her fortune will be with us, and her entire family will be beheaded in broad daylight.” The figure replied and burst into menacing laughter.
“But what about your brothers and Adrie-?”
“I don’t care about him. He is too foolish and always under that woman’s control. But to be honest, he isn’t wicked to me at all, and my mother-” The figure paused in his sentence and sighed. “Nope, I want all of them dead!”
By the way: Papi means father. Some people in Spanish like to call their father that.
